I actually met Matthew Reilly when I was in Australia. I've read Ice Station and Temple. I am SHOCKED that Temple isn't an action movie.

Yeah, I saw him at Supanova when he had a talk and promo for his latest book. Really nice and down to earth guy.

I'm assuming that you work in a hardware store of some sort? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is Anzac Day? I've never heard of that before now.

It's a day to remember the solders of Australia and New Zealand who died during all the wars. It began with the first world war and grew from there.
So was meaning to post up but been busy for the past few weeks...

  • Starcraft Ghost Nova: Not a bad little cyberpunk like story. Been years since I read it but I still remember elements of it cause it's a simple read and a short story. 300 pages on an A6 style book.
  • Born on a Blue Day: An autobiography about Daniel Tammet, a man who suffers Aspergers and yet he leads a completely normal life. His intelligence is amazing and he was able to perform 4 digit multiplication in his head and learn Polish in a week.
  • Death Note: Another Note - The LA BB Murder Cases: The Book Netflix should have turned into a movie. It is about an old L case and the first time he worked with Naomi Misora. Engaging, full of mystery, and suspense.
  • Matthew Reilly: Just gonna list the author cause it doesn't matter what you really read, he's a brilliant writer. His Scarecrow and Jack West series are both great and I need to spend more time reading his work.
  • Neuromancer: A third of the way through this at the moment, but it is easy to see why this was revolutionary. Written decades ago and yet it feels so futuristic with concepts and ideas.

Hey there, NuttnsBolts! Welcome to the Crow's Nest!

I was confused, but then I realized that you were using the Celsius scale. A quick Google search tells me that it is hot there. Sorry to hear about that AND working on Halloween! I imagine it's much better than working on Black Friday (assuming that your country partakes in that as well or has an equivalent) though!

Eh, Black Friday isn't much of a thing here at all (that being Australia). Biggest weekend for my place is Easter. The 4 day weekend is the biggest time for home renovations. Anzac day is also around that time and if it works out right there can be an entire week off for some people. O_o
We can start with this: How are all of you doing today and what are you doing (if anything) to celebrate Halloween?

Today is hot, maybe 30 degrees plus, and I'll be at work on Halloween. Yeah... that's scary in itself. xD

@khosmik Hid three posts. Is that correct?
Reverse rant... knowing you're so caught up with excess work and errands so you're sitting in your car on you're phone during your smoko break adding to the CS which you are writing for the RP you wanna join.
Hey and welcome.

The Gallery may be what you're after. Most people use that as a bit of a showcase section for what they are capable of.
Dropping an interest as I've dabbled in a few traditional Japanese RPs before but never really set foot in a larger group setting.

Got a question though about the extent of the technology cause I've never really seen Naruto (need to see it), would Korra be another show with a similar outlook? Maybe not to that extent, but just modern enough to come home to an oil heater rather than a log fire.

With spirits and magic as well, is there anything like possessions and hauntings or are they more demon creatures. Truthfully asking, could one talk to a spirit or is it a creature one should avoid?
