Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!
Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.
Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.

I'll be honest and admit [if I haven't already] I gave up on Marvel after the 90's Clone Saga fiasco. I was already reading the new GL Kyle Rayner from DC, I loved legacy characters at the time. With Ben Reilly being intro'ed as a lost Scarlet Spider, Kaine as an additional clone and menace, I wasn't even bothered with the whole is he/isn't he the original Peter argument. I was mostly upset with after continuing to follow Ben into his career as Spiderman proper, he was killed off in a way he was said could never happen by none other than the original Green Goblin.
I bought a few comics here and there but stopped following Marvel for a long time. I got #1's of the Ultimates and later the polybagged Ultimate Spiderman [featuring Miles in his current suit] #1. I got the Marvel Knights Madrox series and loved every issue. And I got the Clone Saga mini for how it was supposed to have played out, and I collected the Hickman run of F4 that lead me into buying Future Foundation until Johnny returned. Bought the first couple issues of the original Young Avengers mini. That's about it.

Also @The Kid Lantern, what other characters/other versions of Spidey were included in the pack?
Civil War Spidey, Miles Spidey who can transform into Miles, classic Lego Spidey, classic Scarlet Spider, Iron Spider, and Ultimate Spider Woman. Spider-Man's moves have also been redefined making him able to slingshot in the air, climb walls, etc. Miles for some reason has a taser stun as well of some sort, was that in the comics somewhere?

Another night in Gotham rolled around. Lee wasn't anywhere closer to figuring out who and where the Jester could be, and his vigilante work in the late hours wasn't helping things much. He'd beaten on a few Jokerz here and there, managed to catch them with their pants down and assist the GCPD in an arrest of at least a dozen clowns or so despite the police not knowing of the Crimson Avenger's involvement. Lee Travis was working on his parkour skills, running and leaping in his red coat and fedora. The night air was doing him some good, he couldn't sleep after his father published an article about a possible gang of Robins being as bad for the city as the Jokerz. Lee's last piece for the Gotham Globe was about new equipment at the Gotham Aquarium. The night air was doing him some good, however...
On the other side of town...
"Um... boss? That guy in the red coat messed a few of the guys up..." said a clown who was over weight but resembling the Joker to an extent with his make-up and wardrobe choice.
"Joker is dead, Batman is MIA, and we can't even fight a Robin on a good night anymore? Get the gang together..." said a man sitting in a colorful throne in the shadows of a warehouse.
"..even Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb?" asked the over weight Jokerz gang member.
"Bring in EVERYONE. The green hair and purple pants just isn't doing it, I want everybody we've got with pizzazz and the 'wow factor'. Joker had Harley Quinn for his right hand, I need to find me a sidekick. And Fatso?" said the purple and green clad Jester looking ten kinds of frightening.
"Yeah, boss?" the one called Fatso replied.
"Don't forget to smile! HA HA HAAA HAAA!" the Jester yelled smacking at the fat clown with a cepter.

Arkylius was in shock. Less than a minute had gone by since the man in the business suit who was in line behind him was targeted by a sniper and killed. The gunshot was silenced but the noise of the suppressed shot was louder in the ears of the Atlantian than of those around him. There was a continued ringing for what seemed like at least an hour, though in reality only a minute and a half had gone by now. If Ark could hear the panic and screaming of those around him he'd be more in panic mode as well. He'd never been sprayed by blood, only ever having seen it flow through the oceans and the currents like a red cloud.
Reaper smirked as he watched the young man's reaction through his scope. "Well, looks like the new kids never been around much blood before." He adjusted himself for a better shot and lined up the sights of his scope over the young man's head. "It's a shame he won't have much longer to grow acquainted with it." He took in a deep breath, slowly exhaled through his nose and pressed the trigger again only to watch the young man disappear from his scope and have the bullet pierce through the hotdog vendor's cart and catch the older man selling them in the leg, dropping him to the ground screaming in agony. "Damn it!" He nearly yelled taking his eyes away from the scope to just barely see the young man running in the street. "You lucky little shit." He muttered as he placed the scope back to his eye to try and catch him in the scope again.
"Were those surface dwellers killed for being close to me? Have I already made enemies on land?" Ark thought darting in between cars, walkers on the sidewalks, and the occasional bike messenger.
Arkylius took a breather after running through a fountain towards the beach coast of the city. He ducked for cover behind another of the buildings that didn't go past five stories high. He tore off his horrible t-shirt and put his Atlantian gear back on in full, trashing the flowered bag he'd purchased earlier to carry everything. His attacker seemed to have the higher ground advantage, however once in his uniform the young Atlantian sent out a remote beacon to Jake the robotic snake currently in stealth mode in the Atlantic. Touching another button on his chest gear, Ark went invisible himself and leaped onto a nearby rooftop. The sixty-five feet long snake en route to his location.
Reaper quickly acquired his target in the scope once again, watching as the young man darted between parked car and people on the sidewalks as he waited for his chance to take another shot. He pulled the trigger only to have the bullet land in the truck of a parked car. "Damn." He muttered as he started to mentally keep track of the remaining bullets left in the clip. Seven. He found the young man again on the sidewalk and fired again, once again missing, this shot landing in the shoulder of a woman in a red suit jacket that just exited a building. "Damn." Six.
Everything just seemed to be in the boy's favor as every remaining shot missed the young man and would either hit another person, a parked car or simply embed themselves in the ground. And each time Reaper would curse and mentally note the remaining number of bullets left in the clip. "You have got to be kidding me," He said as the last round had been fired from the ten round clip, the last shot hitting the front wheel of a bike messenger's bike and sending him cartwheeling over the handlebars into the pavement. He continued watch as the young man ran through a fountain and disappear around the corner of a building. "So much for my luck, and I was having such a good day today." He muttered as he took apart the rifle and replaced the pieces back into his black duffle bag.

No spoilers, just saying the Watchmen are supposed to be in the DC multiverse and it looks like they might be officially now. Some things have been done before, others are completely out of left field. Everybody looking for things concerning legacy and the past and future of the DCU will be excited. It seems like an early Christmas for me...
Wednesday DC REBIRTH hits the stands, as well as Justice League #50 which will reveal the true identity of the JOKER! I'm pretty pumped and it's been a couple years since I followed monthly comics in print on a regular basis so I'm excited to be this excited again. At the beginning of the New52 I was reading 17 titles, then it got trimmed a time or two till eventually I couldn't afford monthly comics on top of bills. I think I'm picking up at least 4 or 5 titles and trying a few more once more info is released regarding what will come from REBIRTH.
