In 1943...

There were more than one thousand concentration camps in Nazi-occupied Europe. Death was around every corner. There were rumors that Hitler had a pair of super weapons that would turn the tide of the war. Thanks to the efforts of an experimental reconnaissance unit one of the super weapons, a massive artillery cannon called a V-3, was destroyed in the mountains on the German border. The unit was a special branch of the United States Army Air Force equipped with rocket packs; invented by none other than Howard Hughes years earlier. Mechanics, pilots, infantry, the group of misfits had a little bit of everything going for them. After the win in the German mountains the team would be sent into action once more to gather intelligence on the other rumored super weapon.

The other super weapon? Unknown to the Allies, Hitler was working on developing super soldiers. Where he got the means to do so remains unclear, however he has been known to dabble in the arcane as well as advancing technologies. The unit sent a scout to one of the two locations the super weapon was thought to be, and the Rocketeer never made it back to the rendezvous point. The missing teammate only presented another problem. The rocket-packs were not to fall into enemy hands. Years earlier the Nazi’s attempted to steal the prototype but were thwarted by the first man to successfully use the pack. A pilot in California came into possession of the rocket-pack and became the first Rocketeer, and would later train this team in aerial maneuvering and combat for the US military.

The Rocketeer was always one of my favorite concepts and comics that invoked another era like no other ever had. I love the golden age of comics, and the WW2 themes in the Rocketeer always appealed to me. After seeing a piece of fan art I got super inspired to come up with something. The CS requirements for this will include a sample post with a theme so I can get an idea for how you're gonna write your characters. I'm going to give a few ideas for what characteristics I'm looking for in terms of skills, but aside from that I just want to be as honest as I can be in that I'm no expert on WW2 history and weapons and such.

That inspiring piece of art...

I'm looking for a group of 5-7 players including myself to play as the unit of Rocketeers who already have one major victory under their belts. Aside from the Captain, most of us aren't very high up on the food chain. To say the least we're all expendable. The idea is we were all chosen last minute in and around an Army base in the southern United States by Captain Pierce of the USAAF, Howard Hughes, and the original Rocketeer Cliff Seacord. We were given a week to train with the original Rocketeer before boarding a plane to Europe.

CS requirements will be pretty standard aside from the sample post and skills sections. The skills I'm hoping to have among the group would include a foreign language enthusiast, a mechanic or engineer, perhaps a pilot, an infantry or explosives kinda character, maybe a medic. I'm thinking my guy will be a disgraced soldier in the brig willing to do whatever he can to get out, and a drunk. Booze will be what got him into trouble with the MP's.

Cartoon Network Universe

Originally I had this huge connected universe idea tying a few more concepts into this one like the Justice Friends, Foster's Home, pretty much anything a particular CN creator worked on [which is why Samurai Jack is included]. And we could still potentially do that, but the central theme for now is a Riverdale type of tone with more grown up versions of the Powerpuff Girls and Dexter from Dexter's Lab. At some point a half naked samurai would make the news and we'd go from there. I'd play Bullet the squirrel [now a male], the antagonists, as well as narrate from a 3rd person POV in any event. I'd also shoot for more episodic types of adventures and arc lengths to make sure things progress at a decent speed.

Tell me I'm not the only nerd when it comes to this era of CN greatness. We'd only need 4 or 5 players to get this RP off the ground!

Gargoyles: the Return

@paper rabbit Really just want a group of Gargoyles and a regular human ally for this. I had planned on bringing in a couple older characters as enemies and thought about Oberon. Perhaps we could compromise and make the human ally a descendant of Oberon with a few magic abilities?

Okay... so I've got an idea of what sort of character I'd want [something like Brooklyn] as well as enemies. Lexington will replace Hudson as the older Gargoyle and the setting will be in the near future in a fictional city that rivals NYC and LA. He'll also serve as our tech guy should we have need for any. There's also a need for a civilian character that's preferably a cop, fireman, or an EMS worker. If you've got something else in mind though I'm up for any new ideas that open doors for the storytelling.

I figure at least one or two characters could be the children of the NY clan of Gargoyles, maybe Lex had a kid that's also super smart but went rogue and turned against his own people as one of our enemies.

The rest I'll keep under wraps till this gets somebody's attention, if not it's back to the drawing board for RP ideas LOL.

Gargoyles: the Return

If you're familiar with the Disney series Gargoyles I was thinking about an RP involving a new group of characters with elements from the classic cartoon. An older character from the cartoon will take the role Hudson once filled and I'm currently going through Scottish folklore for inspiration for the story and enemies. Just wanted to throw this out there and see what people are into these days!

Power Rangers/Masked Rider/VR Troopers Crossover Extravaganza

@Nightwing95That could definitely work, but I'm not sure if this one's going to move forward. Throw a sheet together though and we'll see what we can do with it if everybody else is still interested.

EDIT: We've got sheets for my Trooper and a 6th Ranger at this point.

Does that also apply to the personal weapons of non sixth Rangers, or do they have to resemble the Power Weapons?

Weapons don't matter as much, though we likely won't have the combining of 5 weapons to make a super weapon like some of the PR shows tend to do.
