You JUST scrolled down!

Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another random themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

My top RP's on the Guild:

Young Justice 2020
Justice League Unlimited
Titans of Gotham
Champions of Engine City
Marvel Reborn
Legion of Superheroes Return [stat based]

Top Characters:

Ditto - Young Justice series
Bulleteer - Justice League Unlimited
Leviathan - Titans of Gotham
Fastlane - Champions of Engine City
the Thing II - Marvel Reborn
Ultra Boy II - Legion of Superheroes Return

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!

Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.

Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.

OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, the Rocketeer, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.

saw the thread in Interest check so might aswell throw in a sheet
Got an idea so far for basically Dracula,

With stuff like familiar creation/control, shapeshifting, hellfire manipulation, vampiric strenght and such.
Also with classic vampire weaknesses like crosses and stuff
@Omega Man

Albeit i am debating on what archetype he might fit into

If it's a hero you could make them either Vigilante or Wildcard. If I need to make a Wildcard 2 slot for the villains I can. Try not to make a super OP vampire though, at least in terms of powersets. Mostly the bigger ones. Strength, speed, etc. is all basic and fine but the other stuff you'd need to just pick one or two. Shapeshifting, hypnosis, animal control, flying, paralyzing bites, claws, fire manipulation and generation... it's sort of all over the place.

In the 90's the premiere superheroes were the Alliance. Sanctioned and funded by the United Nations the team was comprised of a humanoid cat-man from England named Leopold, a giant of a man called Megaplex, the armored Lady Liberty, as well as others. The times though... they're always changing. The Alliance had fallen apart in recent years. Constantly rotating new heroes in and out of the group, scandal with foreign organizations, and corruption when it came to the oversight from the UN eventually lead to the dissolution of the group. And then Lady Liberty was found dead due to mysterious circumstances while in her civilian identity.

Liberty City is a city of adventure and intrigue on the Atlantic Coast of North Carolina. It's design is reminiscent of a compacted NYC, however instead of five boroughs it only has four. It is home to several superhuman individuals and is formerly the home of the super-team the Amazings, as well as the recently deceased Lady Liberty.

* Liberty City is taken from the GTA series and has been slightly altered here and there for this RP.

* Rather than a Liberty statue with a coffee in her hand, the statue will resemble the male Colossus of Rhodes.

* Like Marvel's NYC, Liberty City will have several superheroes and villains operating there regularly that often interact with each other.

* The Amazings were an off-shoot of the Fantastic Four. They operated in the city from 2009 - 2022. Mister Amazing, Amazing Jane, Judy Juggernaut, Firecracker, and Kid Cosmo made up the team.

We lost a couple players the last couple months so we're looking for a few good people!! The general idea is to build a universe similar to how Invincible is mostly inspired by DC, we're just gonna loosely base this universe on Marvel. The RP will include heroic crossovers, fights between heroes, and team-ups leading into the eventual founding of a super team (the New Alliance) within the game. Now, that isn't saying you HAVE to join the super team. Originally in the comics the Hulk only joined the Avengers long enough to take down Loki. When looking at the building blocks of a more connected universe I look to movies and comic story lines like James Gunn's Superman, Civil War, the Avengers, Justice League War [the animated retelling of the new52 JL origin], Hulk vs. the Thing, Underworld Unleashed, etc. There are a lot of teams and concepts involved, but not everyone's characters will be team players or want to be. And I get that. There will always be the option to have a 'Wildcard' which is exactly what it sounds like. Can be anything and not even based on an existing archetype. Maybe you wanna create something of an amalgam of Hawkman and the Punisher and toss into the game as a vigilante w/superpowers? That can still happen.

REMEMBER!!! Characters don't have to be note for note knock-offs of existing characters. My Liberty Son is about as different from Capt. America as he can be. My guy is patriotic and has a weapon, that's about where the similarities end.

We're currently wrapping up a chapter so it's a good jumping on point for any new players. I've got more time to RP than usual this next week so I should be quick to respond to anyone with questions or ideas they need help fleshing out. So far we've got a solid cast of six with two players using villains and keeping things interesting. Come check us out!!

The devices were activated. A pulse had been emitted within the walls of the building. And for everyone with internal superhuman abilities came a stirring of the senses and a bit of confusion. The Son of Liberty's powers all came from technology, so he wasn't affected by the field. Stampede's abilities came from a mystic artifact, same as Spellbound. They were both unaffected. And King Bee's powers also came from tech. The Queen of Gold was secretly an alien, so the devices were unable to do to her what they had done to the humans in the building with powers. The chaos bringer and Pitbull were really the only superhumans the power dampeners even touched! At the slightest hint of dizziness Pitbull ran through a wall and knocked himself unconscious, urinating on himself afterwards.

Eris wasn't sure what to think about the situation she found herself in. On one hand, she finally had the angel's attention and she was actively flirting with her. One the other hand, the magic user just blasted lightning between the two of them. She could hear footsteps making their way through the halls and nearby stairwell and her heart jumped a beat. She needed to get out of this mess before things spiraled out of her control.

"Spellbound, you ok brother?" Liberty Son asked as he and King Bee came through the room entrance behind the larger armored Stampede.

“Uh… yeah!” Eli said quickly even though his voice cracked. “Totally fine… Well, maybe not totally fine. I’m in a room with a chaos sorceress, and I may have interrupted some kind of hero-villain flirty thing? But… uh… magic still works! So that’s good.” He grinned nervously. “So, what’s the plan? Tell me it’s not ‘hit her until she falls down.’”

The chaos-bringer's power flared below her feet, the floor of the room liquifying as she began to step into it. Then the world went haywire. As the device pulsed through the building, she felt like her body was being ripped into two. The liquified floor fell away, leaving a gaping hole as it splashed down on the floor below. Eris' hands snapped to her head, clenching it tightly as she screamed. She stepped back, wobbled on the edge of the hole then fell through to the floor below.

"Nothing's ever easy in Liberty City..." Liberty Son thought to himself as he tried to get his wits about him. "Stampede, you wanna make that hole a little bigger?" he then said out loud.

Stampede took a short jog and cannonballed through the hole, making it easier for everyone to get through. He eyeballed the young girl in red, who was now a few feet away, from under the rim of his mystical helmet.

"You're not getting away that easy." the larger brute of a hero stated.

Supercop was getting worried. The devices weren't all in place and he was beginning to think he'd have to leave the civilians underground and go back up top. What he didn't know was that the facility's attacker was already within it's walls.

"C'mon, guys. What in the hell is taking so long?" he muttered under his breath looking at the control to activate the power dampening field on his robotic gauntlet.

Meanwhile, outside the remaining heroes were left with confusion. One minute the angelic heroine was going after the chaotic woman in red in the air, before the attacker liquified the roof momentarily while also abducting the kid with the hero permit. Judah had JUST leapt to the ground from the roof thinking Spellbound would be right behind him. It was obvious where the action was headed, with the angel like hero crashing and burning through the academy office building to find the villain. Painkiller worked to get Pitbull out of the ground along with King Bee while Stampede was just dumbfounded as to what exactly was going on.

"Supercop had us setting up devices to dampen superhuman powers. When those are activated only heroes using tech like me and King Bee won't be effected." Liberty Son stated to the group as Pitbull dusted himself off with a growl.

"That ain't stopping ME, junior." Pitbull stated, ready to go.

"Me either." Stampede replied.

"If Supercop's got a power draining device about to activate, I'm going to stick around outside in case anybody needs emergency care. I can't mend bones and punctured organs if I'm powerless." Painkiller stated.

"Understandable. King, you ready to rock?" the Son of Liberty asked the shrinking and flying superhero.

Before the black and yellow clad hero could respond, Pitbull got tired of strategizing and talking. With a "BARK BARK!" he ran through the front entrance like DMX was already playing in the background.

"Damnit, there goes going in with any sort of plan. There's a stairwell on each side of the building. I'll follow Pitbull on the east side, you two go up on the west. Remember when the device gets activated, powers might get drained. Hopefully it doesn't screw with tech too..." Judah said on the spot as the three men entered the academy.

Down below the Academy, Supercop and the civilian employees waited in the bunker. It was a super simple bunker. There were seating areas, a few pillows, fewer blankets, and a glorified port-o-potty type of room off to one side. There was an area to look at security camera feed but Supercop was having trouble because several cameras had been damaged.

"Three of the devices have been placed, where'd the girl in white run off to with the fourth?" Supercop asked himself.

The stage was set. This was their first real test as heroes. Nobody calls the capes in Liberty City 'deputies' except for the newspapers and reporters. They were superheroes and it was time to go be 'super.' The one called Interference darted the opposite direction of the behemoth Stampede, who had already got his tech into position and run outside to help the others. To his surprise there was now an angelic looking woman in the sky, and Painkiller and King Bee were in a brawl for some reason. Stampede's mystical based powers might give him a slight advantage, but nobody knew anything going into combat with this red chaos energy manipulating mad woman.

Her attention was now on the angelic woman in the sky, with the two mind controlled heroes fighting a short distance from her. Stampede, aka Marco Kane, tried assessing the situation. Like an idiot he yelled that she was under arrest which had her attention now on him. Her finger gun dealt real damage as she fired several chaos bolts of red energy at the hero that damaged the ground and outside walls of the office building.

"You just gonna hover, hot-wings, or are you gonna help save the people in the building?" he yelled out to the alien Queen.

”Where have you been hiding?” She asked a little frantically. She ran along her stepping stones, getting higher and higher into the air. ”You remember me, right?! The park! Come down! We can talk!”

Kate rolled her eyes. "Unfortunately I do," she replied, moving farther away at the same pace the woman got closer to her with her stepping stones. "But I'm not exactly in the mood for-" At that moment she was interrupted by a behemoth of a hero making a loud entrance. Kate rolled her eyes even harder when said hero told the chaos woman she was under arrest. "Oh yeah, that'll definitely work," she muttered sarcastically.

"You just gonna hover, hot-wings, or are you gonna help save the people in the building?"

Kate turned to the imposing hero accosting her. "You have an entire ACADEMY full of supers in there and you need my help?? Pah! she scoffed dismissively. "Useless..." she muttered under her breath. Still, she had shown up here to do a job, and was never one to turn down a fight, so she set her manifested battle staff alight with flame and dove at the chaos woman with speed, just as she had done in the park.
While everything was going on Painkiller managed to touch King Bee long enough to 'heal' the effects of the emotional manipulation. King then grew back to regular size and put the healing man into a submission hold where his hand was touching his own body, thus depleting the effects of the mind control.

Meanwhile the Son of Liberty and Spellbound were headed for the roof to get their tech set up. Supercop was gathering the civilian employees in the office building to a safe room type of bunker beneath the academy.

"Once I get mine set up on the far side, I'm jumping down to help the others. You been practicing spells the last few weeks?" Liberty Son asked his brother in arms as they ran up the stairs.

@TideTypedWrongI'd mostly tone down the Equipment section and the backstory, but then a lot of the smaller details can be foregone as well. With the equipment it went into great detail on the guns' make and models and such and without intimate knowledge of how those things are built it doesn't make sense how a shadow construct could be that complicated. Just saying a pair of handguns and a couple longer distance rifles are his go-to is good enough, don't really need it to be more complicated than that. Also, with long winded personalities they usually always tend to be one type of character with the addition they can be completely different around the right types of other people. If a character is a brooding type of character put that down, but then don't try to be the joke guy or the hot head as well. Five words for personality is all that's needed, then I gotta make sure you stick to that in-game.

Take a look at some of the accepted Character Sheets in the Character Tab at the top of the thread if you need to see about the length we need for a CS. There's also a section for 'Potential Storylines', so wherever you want your character to grow and evolve in the game needs to be in that section.
@TideTypedWrong At first glance I dig the concept, but I need the CS to be formatted like everyone else's. If you wanna add a little more info in the 'Notes' section that's cool, but four or five hider tabs is a bit more info than we need. Here's the CS requirements from the interest check...

I'm a HUGE Green Lantern fan, and this puts me in the mind of Obsidian mixed with a cowboy. We just need a more Casual CS rather than Advanced CS. The reason I put suggestions next to requirements is so potential players don't get too long winded for nothing if their characters don't get accepted as is. I think I've used the five words for personality and 'brief bio' in my CS requirements for a few years now.
@Omega Man Oh I got it! The vigilante is more hero like then anything, he's just a vigilante for reasons.

Also excuse me for asking, but what does CS mean?

Also note, I'm busy this week so I might be slow to reply back!

Sorry about the late response, I do most of my RP'ing Sat-Mon LOL

A CS is just a Character Sheet. I *think* the requirements are in the first post of this thread.
@Omega Man Hey, looking to play a vigilante who has more hero beats than anything. Not sure if I should ask first or post first =w=

Oh and I may be interested in taking up the brute villain Archetype

Send me a CS in a PM for either of the archetypes. We need heroes more than villains to make the story run smoother atm...
