The people in select serieses/universes who would take notice of an Artificial intelligence, reconfigurable warship armed with graviton and photon weapons and composed of nanomaterials would also very likely also take notice of a girl that can induce localized gravitational anomalies and project barriers impervious to conventional weaponry and also made out of nanomaterials...

Though at least they eat normal food...

Instead of munching on mortar shells, aluminum ore and washing it down with black gold... Oh and then eating normal food...

Yes they would but small-scale superheroics can be overlooked every now and then, especially in such worlds, while entire areas being suddenly vaporized, especially urban areas and infrastructure, is a threat to national security.
  • For no.1 There's only been one proper engagement in the manga that involved mental models... Essentially expect barrier based combat and local gravity shift shenanigans... However the ship/character is still able to utilize the equipment present on their ship body... So for example the ship body might be out on the harbor and situation dictates the need for offshore bombardment support on the Mental Model's position then that's perfectly within their capabilities...
  • For no.2 That's the part that you solve by hiding the ships... Because if anything the 80 or so chapters of the manga has shown, is that the FOG vessels are extremely good at hiding, submarine or not...

And now, the Morton's Fork.

Either you use the ship's armaments in battle which will not go unnoticed and from there you can:
A) Come forward and face the consequences.
B) Hide and let the countries point fingers at each other, most likely leading to war.

OR

Just use purely mental models for the entire RP.

  • And as for the last part... I'm just not entirely sure how the things in Kancolle work in general I mean paper talismans turning into miniature warplanes complete with pilots, I'd chuck that one as magic but I don't know if it is canonically actually magic... Yes I should be able to roleplay them fine since I have made fanfics for it but what I'm worried about is that I might portray how things work in a completely inaccurate manner...
    If you're fine with it being slightly AU then yes Kancolle is a second choice...

KanColle's mechanics are vague and thus flexible. You are free to explain a character's signature powers however you like.

"That's fine and all, but you still haven't answered my question about our families and close acquaintances. Won't there be chaos if people begin to spontaneously disappear from existence? Adding to the problem that you've created won't make it smaller, you know. Unless you provide sufficient proof that they won't be wrapped up in any of your side of this problem, I shall assume you have the intent to wrap everyone up in this whole ordeal. After all, you brought this many in already; what is there to stop you from dragging more into what is essentially your personal army of 'volunteers'?""
Satori Komeiji

"Don't you worry about that, Miss Komeiji. I have procedures prepared for those things. Granted, I haven't actually tried any of them yet but we have done simulations and the success rate is around ninety to one-hundred percent." The Entertainer answered though you feel his patience was being tried, probably from your attitude. "Though if things really get out of hand, I can always just do a mindwipe so that no one remembers that you were gone. That's a universal solution, that one."

"Also, there is nothing stopping me from dragging more people in this brouhaha." He admitted. "But having more isn't merry as I would need to keep tabs on even more people." He then added quite nonchalantly. "Unless you die in the middle of this and I would need replacements."

"But are you sure about choosing me? There are others stronger than me in my world, you know? I'm just a school teacher after all~"
Victoria Luxemberg

"Dearie, everyone's a soldier in war." The Entertainer solidly stated his reply.

-EVERYONE-

Hearing the almost unanimous decision to help out, you all feel The Entertainer almost leapt with joy. "Splendid! Splendid, splendid, splendid!" He got down from the stage and walked towards the hall's exit. "Now then, if you would all follow me."

Following The Entertainer out of the Assembly Hall, you would find yourselves in a large corridor. It was not empty though, human people in dark military gear or uniforms went about their businesses, walking and scurrying to their destinations. As you walked through the corridor, any passing soldiers stopped and saluted you before heading off. They were probably saluting at The Entertainer but it still felt otherwise.

You all emerge from the corridor into a huge atrium where there are even more soldiers doing about their businesses or simply hanging out. You were at the most lowest floor and there appeared to be ten floors to this structure. A silver sphere hovered at the center of the place with a single flight of stairs leading to its entrance. "Welcome to IDEC, ladies and gentlemen." The Entertainer said but he didn't stop walking. However, you do notice that there were absolutely no windows of any sort in the place. All the light was from the artificial lightbulbs.

There were multiple corridors leading out of the atrium, some were labeled while others were not. The Entertainer lead you to one that said 'PORTAL GATE CHAMBERS'. "I suppose now's the time to tell you how IDEC gets to places." He said as he continued walking. "IDEC has these 'portal gates'. These lead to all the universes in the Multiverse." You now notice that his voice was not coming from him but rather, from inside your heads. It was the reason why you could clearly hear him despite the ambient noise and your distance from him. "Each universe has a combination of wavelengths that designate that universe. Those wavelengths can be used by a portal gate to enter that universe from another. However, an extra wavelength is needed to link two portal gates together so that travel can be safe. Otherwise, you might get deposited into a... an unfavorable area."

After another large corridor and into a large pair of doors, The Entertainer lead you into an enormous hangar filled with machines and people. You spot two pairs of tall, steel arches on the hangar's walls. These were probably the portal gates The Entertainer was talking about earlier. "I want all of these turned on right now!" You hear him yell which made everybody in the hangar scramble to their positions. After a moment, the portal gates lit up. The white mass of light in the center of the arches shone brightly.

The Entertainer lead you to the center of the hangar. "Impressive, isn't it? Anyway..." He then snapped his fingers and suddenly you all feel something in your wrists. Looking at it, it appeared to be a watch of sorts. "IDEC has at least one outpost on each world and thus, one portal gate. Those watches will give you the general direction of that outpost so if you need to exit a universe or get lost or something, you have that." He explained. "Don't lose it."

"Now then, to the main topic." The Entertainer produced a small black box. "Your main task is finding the universe where the rogue Agents' main base is. This black box can record the wavelengths I was talking about earlier. You can either connect this to a portal gate's computer to record the past three universes that portal gate has entered or you can have someone manually input the wavelengths should he or she know the exact numbers and letters." He explained the main objective. "A black box will be issued to you by IDEC operatives as soon as you arrive."

"Now then without further ado, let's get this show on the road!"

"Oh before you leave! I have one more thing you should know." The Entertainer quickly stopped all of you. "I have... well, let's call them my 'children'. These guys can be a big help to you and they'll most likely do if you just ask them." He then sighed. "But... they don't like me or IDEC very much. It's... complicated. So should you encounter them, just keep me and IDEC and the Agents out of the conversation as much as possible. But if that fails, just tell them that Mister Peculiar is also in on this. In fact, just tell them you are acting under Mister Peculiar should they ask."

"What do they look like, you ask?" He paused to think for a bit before answering. "Their appearances vary but you'll know them once you see them. They usually stick out in the worlds they're staying at."
@ACHTUNG

Okay, okay...

1) Since the ship will usually be somewhere out of reach, what can the mental model do in combat?

2) Having a giant-ass ship equipped with alien tech sitting around will not go unnoticed by the worlds this RP will be visiting. The damage control will be immense. The Entertainer would feel that the cons outweigh the pros.

So in conclusion, if you really want to use ship girls then why not Kantai Collection girls?
@ACHTUNG

Yeah, what Vita was saying. Are they going to store the ships inside them or something?

Is there any point where you'll stop accepting characters?

When the voices in my head tell me to stop.
@Psyga315

Sorry but I must reject him because of a number of reasons but mainly because if The Entertainer does summon him, his body in the physical world is the one taken, not the one in the MMORPG.

@Sorrelmyst

She's accepted. Yay RWBY! Post as soon as you are able.

So I've compiled all the worlds suggested in the OOC so far.

I'll try to include these worlds in our adventure as much as possible but please don't be too mad if we never visit any of these because of the story or my shortcomings. If you have any more suggestions for worlds, let me know.

Meanwhile, these worlds we will likely visit as I know these worlds very well but no definites unless stated otherwise.

There will also be a couple of original worlds. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any problems regarding my choices.
Since this may come up in the future, I want to ask this question.

Does @VitaVitaAR's Youmu come from the same universe as @PKMNB0Y's Satori?

The same question goes for @Rin and @Raineh Daze.
Uhh, I think there's a problem with the contents of the Kangato hider. Nothing big though.

Also, I'm interested in some of them but are you up for playing two RPs with the same person?
-EVERYONE-

"Okay everyone! Let's all put our introductions and our... uncouth requests to go back home aside for a bit and let's all find out why we all are here." The Entertainer declared.

He leaped back into the stage. "Before we get to our problem, we need some context..." With a snap of his fingers, the white wall behind The Entertainer shifted into a panorama of what could be the night sky. Little stars and majestic nebulas (if you knew what those were) painted the black void while round planets dotting the space. "We all live in, for lack of a better term, the Multiverse." He stretched his arms wide. "You know, multiple universes and alternate dimensions. I'm sure you've encountered these terms unless you actively avoid works of entertainment and literature."

"Some universes are completely different from each other. For example, Kamijou Touma over there does not live in the same universe as... Rem. Right, now I remember her name." He pointed to the referred people. "Meanwhile, some universes are either exactly the same as each other or different by just a little bit. It's mostly the latter though. Like Youmu and Komeiji over there. They know each other but it's possible they come from different universes." Once again, he pointed to the given subjects.

"If that's clear, let's move on to the next topic..." The Entertainer then snapped his fingers once more and the panorama behind him shifted into large letters comprising of 'I', 'D', 'E' and 'C'. The font was gray and metallic in color. "IDEC or InterDimensional Enforcer Corps is the organization I founded so that I can protect the harmony of the Multiverse much more efficiently. I'm not going to delve further about IDEC or else you'd all be dead from old age before we'd finish. For now, just think of us as the defenders of the Multiverse, mostly against itself. If you would really like to know more though, you are free to consult me in your free time."

"A branch of IDEC are the Agents..." The Entertainer continued. "These guys are our most elite operatives. They handle the most dangerous jobs the IDEC must do. Like assassinating gods or infiltrating the armies of conquerors and destroy it from within. Or they could simply be doing the more simpler IDEC jobs, just in an extremely hostile environment."

"And therein lies our problem." With a snap of fingers, the wall returned to its original white color. "A group of Agents, a particularly skilled bunch, decided to go rogue because somebody apparently got bored with balance and harmony and wants to find out what would happen if the Multiverse becomes chaotic." The Entertainer began to stroll across the stage. "Now, this is a problem for IDEC because, you know, they're Agents. And because they're Agents, they know IDEC. They know its moves, its tactics, its protocols."

"And that! That's why you all are here." He stopped his pacing. "These rogue Agents may know IDEC but they don't know you. That's why you all are more effective in tracking and fighting these idiots, among other reasons."

"Now you're asking, 'What's this got to do with us?' or 'What's in it for us?'. Well first, these rogue Agents are already fighting IDEC and that means they're fighting across the Multiverse which means that the poor locals of some particular universes get caught in the crossfire, which may include yours. In fact if the fighting continues, your worlds will be involved in this likely destructive war." He paused for a bit to let the information to sink in. "And since they're idiots not held down by IDEC's rules, they could be rallying... the 'special' people and these 'special' people are likely to be deployed into your worlds and cause havoc you probably don't know how to handle. There's also the possibility of them rallying your friends and family to their cause."

"Secondly... well, that's a simple one." The Entertainer held up one finger. "For doing this, I'll grant you one wish. Any wish you want. I'll make it happen." After putting his finger down, he continued. "Within reason of course. We don't want your wishes backfiring now, do we? That's just the worst thing, isn't it?"

"But..." The Entertainer sighed. "If none of these are enough for you to spur you into saving the Multiverse, you are free to walk away." He declared. "We live in a free Multiverse after all. I will not force you to fight. Well, it's more like I can't force you to fight. Again, free Multiverse." He began pacing across the stage once more. "You are free to turn a blind eye to this conflict and return home but just remember, it will not be blind to you."

"So people, what's the verdict?"
