Jeez... You guys are going fast. Could you guys slow down as Milly would tell then both off for fighting.
I don't want to be a pest, but how are those posts coming along you two?
Done. Not very good, considering my critique of it, but enough to keep you all going.
The Argonian did not seem pleased with Faire's answer, much to her own delight. It probably wasn't enough to convince any of her captors, though. The armored brute, Valerion is what the Argonian called it, told a tale about witnessing a Snow Elf. He provided great detail in his story and it sounded logical and possible... but what would her kin being doing with the Betrayed? Was her kin making progress to cure those cave dwellers? Obviously some progress was made as he had managed to manipulate the Betrayed into a sort of body guard. Could this be the lead she had been hoping for? Maybe capture was Auri-El's Will, added with a bit of Sai's luck. Whatever the case, she would have to gather more information from that Valerion. As Valerion approached even closer, the words he spoke stuck with her "And not the last of your kind... for now." For the first time in a long time, Faire could feel a little warmth inside herself as hope kindled very lightly in her heart. Turning back to the Nord, Niko, she watched him cut her bonds and gave her the terms of her capture. She could be free by tomorrow if she wanted... But that isn't what she wanted. Not yet. Not until she knows where she could track down her kin and possibly exchanging a favor for a favor, she could get it. After all, why would Valerion care to keep that a secret from her. Faire had arisen to her feet and taking her belt back from the Nord. His offer of food was encouraging as the smell of sizzling elk had finally reached her nose. She hadn't had game like that in awhile. Faire continued taking a glance around the camp and shot a glare to the man who squealed about a Snow Elf being in present company. The man she had blinded earlier, she was sorry about that but she wasn't about to clue him in. Her attention turned back to Niko, the Nord. She was glad that he was at least appearing to be pleasant, but she dared not lower her guard. And she didn't answer him immediately as he wondered what her name was. Instead she brought her gaze up to the stars and stood there for a moment, remembering the last time she said her name. It was a long, long time ago, so much so, that she had written in her book several times just to remind herself. "Faire Agarwen." She said plainly, her gaze never leaving the stars. She didn't say anything else and instead turned and walked away. If yesterday she had said, I'd be introducing myself to a Nord tomorrow, she would have claimed to be mad and ran a sword through her gut. But this...this felt.. strangely alright. She hadn't communicated with a living being in months and not to this extent, either. For once, loneliness wasn't on her mind. Faire Agarwen paced about the camp a bit. Conversation in the camp seemed to be leaning towards talk about dragons. It seems the people here were serious about that, and many thought they weren't going to fair well against one. Lucky for them, Faire could handle big game such as dragons. Her favor... for their favor. The thought of the hunt began filling her mind as she finally settled down next to the fire. She sat with her arms crossed as the blinded man and some Nordish woman conversed. Preoccupied with her thoughts, she laid on her back and closed her eyes for a bit. At least long enough for captors to present her with food.
Username: Pirouette Name: Lady Millicent "Milly" of House Cheviot Age: 19 Gender: Female Allegiance: Lugere Weapon: Milly usually arms herself with two short tempered blades. One has a very dull edge and serves multiple purposes such as non-lethal dueling/sparring and protection in combat. The second blade is a very fine, sharpened blade serving only one grim purpose. Milly isn't the type that enjoys killing but in self-defense she has no problem with taking a life. Appearance: Milly is not the best example of noble fashion. Instead she dresses rather plainly, and more specifically, like an off-duty knight. Her hair is usually tied up in a simple bun to prevent distraction in her hobbies. Her clothes are nice and definitely tailored but they aren't flashy and usually a bit dirty. Sometimes she wears a padded leather jacket with a small emblem right over her breast, adorning the Cheviot House Sigil, a black sixteenth note crossed with a sixteenth rest on a light blue background. Personality: Milly is, as you can imagine, a bit tom-boyish. She explains it as her dislike for the refined elegance of nobility rather than her desire to appear "manly." Nobility just seems like an excuse to be distant from everybody else. There isn't an opportunity to learn how the world really is by just sitting around in concert halls or manors. It is a suspension of reality by living in nobility and Milly doesn't like the idea of being delusion to the world. She doesn't outright hate it, in fact, she is grateful that she isn't forced to work for a shitty life. She knows she has had it good but in her words, "noble people suck". It was really all the people that turned her away from the posh life of nobility and not the nobility itself. This is best summed up by her name. Millicent is a rather refined title and she loves her name but the people that really know her cut out all the "Lady Millicent" crap and call her "Milly". Outside of that, you'd probably find Milly to be a bit distant, no sense of humor, and seemingly mad at something when you first meet her. Eventually that coldness warms up and she doesn't not really care who you are. Poor or rich, morph or no. Biography: House Cheviot is semi-major hold in the Lurere continent but not for the reasons you'd expect. This house never lead any crusades or was the deciding factor in any battle, but rather, this house was always famed for its ability to schmooze and entertain greater lords. Generations of great musicians, dancers, and actors all helped build the Cheviot family up by charging ludicrous amounts for their services but some Houses were willing to pay that price. Finance turned into power which lead to the purchasing of land, therefore expanding the power of the family. Since the beginning, children of the House were to always learn a trade of the fine arts. They got to choose but as long as they mastered something. Millicent chose to master dueling, much to the dismay of her parents. Dueling wasn't necessarily a fine art but historically, the Cheviots had some great fencers and duelists so it was an allowable selection according to the family tradition. Millicent's parents were not too pleased because being the firstborn, it unofficially meant that you had to a real class act and for a time, Millicent's parents did not believe that Milly could learn how to be a real lady by dueling. Gender roles weren't as strict as some alternate dimensions but they still existed. A lady shouldn't be fighting but Millicent did and she won. It was by winning that her parent's began to sort of accept it. As it turns out, it was a great spectacle to see a woman duelist beat male duelists. Winning didn't happen all the time but the fact that Milly could beat just about anybody at anytime only helped other lords and ladies to respect the Cheviot name. So until Milly's parents pass and she is required to return to rule the house, she will just keep on wandering the world, challenging any lord or lady who wishes to fight. And it wasn't just her fighting, eventually Milly allowed challenges for Mel to face a lord's or lady's Pokémon. Other: --- Pokémon: Meloetta Nickname: Mel (Only Millicent uses the name) Species: Meloetta Moveset: Relic Song, Psychic, Close Combat, Safeguard Ability: Serene Grace Appearance: Mel has always been spared of wearing clothes. Even her natural appearance gives off the impression she is wearing clothes so it was never deemed necessary. Mel is a bit uptight and pretentious, even refusing to interact with people of perceived low-birth. She (for the sake of pronoun usage) loves attention, compliments, and the chance to perform but will almost always deny a peasant's request. Millicent has slowly made an impact on Mel, opening her up to the world. She isn't outright repulsed by commoners but her unease is noticeable. One would presume Mel would dislike Millicent greatly but deep down, Milly knew Mel would like the attention and adoration that commoners give her. One other thing Millicent has been doing for Mel and that is combat training. Mel was always used for performances of dance and song for nobility and never for combat. Mel was a showcase of class and as the firstborn female, Meloetta was usually trusted with the firstborn in hopes of teaching the first born how to sing and dance like a proper lady. Well Millicent learned how to sing and dance pretty darn well but in return, Milly taught Mel how to fight proper, using her own experience in training and the House's Trainer for advice. Despite Mel's better attitude, she still hates Morphs as she believes them to be unnatural. Physically she can sense them, too. --- Addendum: Meloetta has two forms and can change form by using Relic Song. After a time she'll change back into her original form, Aria Form, which is pictured above. The second form, Pirouette Form is this here:
Oooooohhhh I haven't forgotten! I would love to post about now but I really need my sleep for tomorrow.
Sorry I'm late Goy, but Myra and Vyra (no connections made yet, waiting to see the response) are ready to be reviewed.
I always believed that Physic Pokémon could communicate telepathically with no issue, but then Rajin had Yvelta communicate with both human and Pokémon, telepathically. That seems like a huge leap from what I believed to be the case. Maybe a Legendary Pokémon can communicate with other Pokémon but I think that a Physic link between human and Pokémon should be limited to just a Physic type. But maybe for Rajin's case, Meloetta could act like a pylon to communicate that Physic message because Mel is a powerful Physic type. A less powerful Physic would not be able to relay that information. But that's just my two pence.
Name: Myra: Goddess of Love, Beauty, Attraction, Light, and Fertility Vrya: Goddess of Lust, Adultery, Prostitution, Dark, and Schemes Age: Ancient Nature: Myra-God, Vyra-Demon Personality: Myra and Vyra cannot be any more different. Myra is a trusting, smart, and kind. She loves to teach lessons and morals by disguising herself as a stranger, usually a mortal elder of some kind. But more than that, she absolutely loves attention and worship from her mortal subjects. Getting on her good side is easy, getting on her bad side can be just as easy. Mocking and extreme cases mortals gaining too much attention for their beauty. One thing she hates more than that is anyone who chooses her twin sister over herself. Myra is naïve and easy to trick, especially by her sister, which is her greatest weakness. Despite not being much of a schemer, she will actively pursue or assist plots to get at her sister. Vyra is cunning, manipulative, and ambitious. She loves to plan schemes and assist mortals with various plots of intrigue by disguising herself also. She loves attention and worship as well and just like her sister, she hates being mocked and will go to great lengths for revenge. She hates her sister and anyone who chooses her twin over herself. Vyra's following is considerably smaller so her magical strength is limited as oppose to her sister. She, too, will actively pursue or assist plots to get at her sister. Skills and Abilities: Both sisters have the ability disguise themselves in any form they desire. Animal, fawn, human, whatever. They use this ability to primarily walk amongst the mortals to manipulate things here and there. Outside of that, the twins have their own, but similar power to manipulate something. Myra can manipulate light and can offer healing magic to cure aliments, both for Gods and mortals. She can also manipulate mortals, and possibly upstarts, to encourage love, attraction, and good feelings. Vyra can manipulate darkness and can curse, Gods or mortals, with disease and pestilence. Vyra can also manipulate mortals, and possibly upstarts, to encourage hate, jealousy, and anger. It should be noted that Vyra's magical strength is hampered by the difference of followers between herself and her sister. Backstory: A product of the next generation of Ancients, Myra and Vyra were born from the relationship between Sol, God of Light, and Luna, Goddess of Darkness. The twins inherited their parent's power and developed their own. Myra was the firstborn and was given all the praise of a firstborn child after a successful, clean birth. Vyra wasn't born until a full day of labor after her sister, and caused great harm to Luna during birth. Vyra did not receive the same praise her sister had received and has spitted her "perfect" sister ever since. As the twins aged, Sol found it easy to favor Myra as a child. She was showed compassion and warmth towards others, just like her father. While Sol still did love her other daughter, she was often ignored by the God of Light. Luna did not favorite any of her children but she did find herself in Vyra, as she was mostly quiet, kept to herself, and showed great feats of intelligence early on in her life. While Vyra always appreciated the love her mother had for her, she hated Sol for favoring her sister. The twins found competition between each other to be very common. Almost everything would turn into a competition as each competed for the attention and praise the winner would receive. Music, hunts, great feats... It didn't matter what it was, the sisters turned everything into a competition. Eventually this drove Vyra to try and take the life of her sister. It nearly worked had it not been for the intervention of some other Ancient God (I leave this open for whoever). The aftermath of this all tore the family of four apart as they argued over Vyra's plot. With Sol wanting blood and Luna defending Vyra with her life, their marriage broke apart and soon after, their relationships with their children deteriorated as well. Sol hated Vyra and Luna was ready to defend Vyra. Vyra, in turn, hated Sol for demanding her life and possibly that of her mother's. Myra hated Luna for defending Vyra and Vyra for obvious reasons. Even Sol and Myra had a bit of a falling out as they would argue over how far should Sol punish Luna. Myra hated her mother, but she was still her mother. So the family separated and they all sought their own independent lives, with the exception of the twins as the death of the Golden One offered new opportunities in the mortal world. Myra sought to bring all mortals together, under her name and worship. She offered love and gratitude to those who looked to her. Vyra sought to undo her sister's work and make her own following. In both cases, mortals could provide the twins with strength and power that they did not have otherwise. Ever since the fall of the Golden One, they have only grown in strength, not weakened. Connections: This is where you put your relationships with other player-controlled characters, including friendships and rivalries. It is encouraged that your character is acquaintances with at least one other. Religion: --Light's Warmth: Is a special sect of religion and mythology devoted entirely to the Goddess of Beauty, Myra. Devotion to the Light's Warmthsect does not restrict the mortal to worship only that sect but rather, regular clergy are allowed to pursue other devotions to other gods or goddesses if they desire. Just note that you may not be Myra's favorite. Priests of Myra, devout their entire lives to Myra and no other god or goddess can be recognized by the faithful. As a testament to their devotion, they give up their previous lives and previous loves to Myra. Myra grants her priests great happiness in their act and bestows upon them the gift of healing. --Night's Solace: Is best described as a cult rather than a religion. Membership is considered a scared secret but the work that they do is not supposed to be. Once you devout yourself to Vyra's cult, there is no going back and you may only recognize her as your goddess (special exceptions made to Danives). A member worships Vyra by conducting plots of intrigue such as: assassinations, political coups, war, and many other dark deeds. As a result, the Night's Solace actually gains considerable "donations" for their acts of intrigue to help put people into power or remove other people from this mortal plane. Vyra is said to assist her followers in their acts of intrigue and does favor them greatly. Nation: If applicable. Other:
The condition of my strep throat seems to be worsening. Doctors think it may not be strep at all, and possibly tonsillitis. I may have to go across the country to receive medical care, and possibly surgery, at home, with my family. I JUST WANNA RP *flips table*
Aw shucks, Aphelion. Strep sucks even when it is not accompanied by the possibility of tonsillitis. I really hope you get well soon!
You are limited to one character only. So, make one that you resonate with.
Oh shucks, I had an idea for two characters. Okay so would anyone be willing to play the other half of the fertility twins? I was thinking one becomes the goddess of Love, Attraction, Fertility and the other twin be the demon of Lust, Adultery, and Prostitution? Then again, I might not really be understanding some of the details here.
