I would be amenable to the idea of hiring another GM. As they say: if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself, right?

In my post-finals stupor I am a little confused by your last sentence. Are you putting yourself forward as a nominee?

As for process, the way we decided GMs to begin with is that people just wrote a short paragraph why they wanted to be GM and think they'd be good for the job, and if I approved of their behavior and activity, I'd approve.

I think by 'me' he means 'you.' He's saying that you should say that anyone who wants to apply for a co-GM spot should PM you an application like the one you just described.

although write is a power-hungry c a n u c k so it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted the job
I still think allowing Plank a second main PC is a terrible idea as it creates a precedent that I don't think should be adhered to, (not to mention a new RPer was elbowed out of the way to make it happen) but that decision was ultimately not mine.

I assumed had the matter been settled in the remaining OOC then someone, most likely Lug or Plank would kindly inform him that we were no longer open, thank him for his interest and ask him to leave. Clearly I expected too much from a group who would rather devolve into senseless bickering over a simple misunderstanding than handle a very simple situation with a modicum of decency.

My only problem is that you keep continually mischaracterizing the whole situation - I doubt it's willful (or, at least, I hope it's not) but those repeated misunderstandings keep happening, it ends up leading us deeper and deeper into shit. I didn't elbow aside anyone, at any time. I PM'd Lug over a week ago about keeping a character that has roots in Write's subplot in the game on a more full-time basis, and wondered if, since the new team had been looking for a fourth member to fill it up, I could fill it. At this point, no one had applied for the slot.

Cut to the start of this whole mess. Lugu is asked whether he's found a fourth member, forgets my request, says no, and puts out a public search. We've talked on Skype about it and there aren't any hard feelings - it was a mistake. I understand that people make them, no fucking sweat. So he puts out this request, Crimmy sees it, and tags a friend he thinks may have some interest. I'd told him I'd gotten a role on the new team a few days prior, but he forgets and doesn't realize it until after I get back and see what's started unfolding in the OOC. That's another mistake. I didn't blow up on anyone for it. They happen.

And, whether the hell you wanna believe it or not, no one was elbowed aside. As soon as I reminded Crimmy that I'd reserved the slot, he talked to Banjo and she withdrew voluntarily - despite me offering multiple times for about twelve hours that she could have it if she wanted it. At no point did I force her out or muscle anyone into keeping the slot. I could produce any number of chatlogs backing it up, if I had anything to prove to you, but I don't. The discussion is had, the discussion seems to be settled, and it's over.

Cut to this afternoon, when the same thing happens with an RPer who wasn't part of the discussion to begin with and has never even poked into the OOC before. Of course my initial reaction isn't positive, because it seems like you went behind my back and the backs of everyone after the OOC discussion had ended and tried to get another player involved in what seemed like a dead discussion. And even then, I offered to Skype the new guy (girl? pls no bully i'm a misgenderer) and talk things out, explain the situation, see if maybe we could work something out if possible. Hell, you've had a Steam contact request from me sitting and gathering dust for the past half year or so - we could have reached out and had a discussion, if you wanted.

At no point in this entire clusterfuck do I think I've been anything approaching unreasonable. In fact, given my normal temperament whenever we butt heads, I think I've done more to stay civil and try to establish discourse than anyone in this OOC who knows me (or those who only know me from my behavior in this OOC) would expect me to. But Lucius is right up there - communication is a two-way street. If you ignore a huge swath of characters, then fine. I disagree with that GMing style, but it's your right to do that. But if you're going to ignore characters and have no idea if/when they're posting or what teams look like after a character reshuffle, then you shouldn't be the person putting together a list of who's inactive or who's not. If you're going to disagree with the way a character or RPer takes up a slot on a team, talk to that RPer instead of going behind their back when it's all but guaranteed to spark a fight in what's objectively a pretty hostile OOC.

Honestly, most of the time people give you shit for your ignorance (or supposed ignorance) is because you only admit you don't pay attention or know something after you try to give an opinion on it. Learning to back the fuck off can go a long way towards teaching someone to chill the fuck out.

But you gotta talk it out.

How else would you navigate this clusterfuck? XD I just skim and hope I don'T miss a change in rules or something, I both work and study, there's not time to read stuff like discussion about RP unrelated anime other people like times the number of players here.

Also I did ask for another character about 7 months ago in a PM but that slipped a memory I guess...

You're not a GM. It doesn't matter if you pay attention.
@Plank Sinatra
Hi, I was summoned here by @Prince of Seraphs under the impression there was an open spot that I'd have to contest. I've got a character in mind already, though I'm hoping there'd be a consensus on the spot before going any further. I don't have much experience with RWBY, but I've been briefed on the general ideas and I'm quite interested in the whole equipment aspect of things.

Do you have a Skype or something? Let's talk.

Whaaaat the shiiiiit is he talking about?

She didn't like the way that both Ben and Amy had gained consciousness so quickly, or how alert they both looked. If she didn't know better, Lauren would almost begin to think that they were expecting forward inertia out of her. Well, her sculpted black ass was not so easily budged, team. Before she was roped into doing anything for these slave masters, she would need to...

growl

"...eaaaaaaat."

Luckily, after twelve years fighting on the front lines of the struggle, she had prepared for just kind of this Saturday morning eventuality. The hand that clutched her phone dropped down to check on the location of a bag she'd left between Amy's bed and her own, which Cap must have crashed in the night before. Sure enough, there it was - a few burgers and some fries (Vacuan seasoned) that she had brought home for the team from the night before. To keep them fresh and unsquished, Lauren, in her drunken wisdom, had made sure to leave them nestled close to the space heater that was built into the wall so that they were kept constantly toasty throughout the night. She was just too fucking good.

Lauren's head tilted down to face the bag of food directly, but her chin got stuck and dug into the barrel of something that made her blink. Lawnslot. The bet. More of the evening flooded back to the carjacker as she grinned.

"I'll tell ya later, Desire. It was pretty much a failure doe. The girls who came near Cap kept losing hands in freak...hand loss accidents." She winked at her best friend and produced the tonfa from her bra, holding it to the back of her neck and cracking it once each way. Then she stood - long ebony legs slunk out from underneath Amy's (lack of) covers and bent so that she could jut her chin out and rest it on one knee. She spun her hemp anklet idly by one of its charm - a little Vacuan amethyst in the shape of a sports car, and a birthday present from her mother this past year - before she slowly scooched over and stood at the foot of Amy's bed.

And, without a hint of modesty, the underwear-clad girl bent over backwards with several cracks that seemed to intensify. In pitch and in sensation.

"Ah-ahh-uungh-ahhhhhh~"

As quickly as she had contorted herself, she stood upright again, hair a mess, muscles in her chest and core relaxing, and teeth chewing the end of her lip in wicked amusement. Both her teammates looked at her like she was a succubus or something.

"Sooo..." she drawled, starting to sound more awake now that she'd violently loosened up, "what are you cuties so awake for this ayy-emm?"
It's not just you

@Plank Sinatra Not to make everyone mad at me (expecting it to happen but not looking for a fight, this is a simple inquiry) but as we are forming a new team made of up primarily new players wouldn't it be better to give the fourth slot to a new prospective member that wants it rather than farming it out to someone who already has the chance to participate in this RP? It is also shattering one of the rules you Lug laid down at around OOC Page 500 about RPers not having more than one student PC. I mean if it was between Plank and having to leave the spot empty of course it should be filled but someone was found to fill the spot and they were asked to leave to make room for Plank despite you already having Lorena to use in the RP.

I offered more than once for banjo to take the spot, publicly and privately. She really did withdraw without my knowledge and she apparently made it clear that it's not a big deal to her. If she's fine with it, I'm fine with it.

anyone who has seen the full writeup for joyous guard

and why it will cost me twenty one credits when all is said and done

A is for Ammo porn

S is for Suck it, our team is the bestest

<Snipped quote by Lucius Cypher>

It's weirder.

Trust me, I know things.

<Snipped quote by PyroDash888>

You could totes reply. Gren spoke to ya, Emerald is here, and Shiro just showed up. Lots you could go for~

<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>

Eh, what do I know then. Though ''tis a shame still, I was going to try to suggest that the new character dual wield chainsaws as his/her weapon of choice. Or maybe someone else who has cybernetic as well. Maybe if Planku could humor this old sea dog...?

I'm going a little weirder.
