My opinions. I've not yet decided what to vote for. We'll see.

... [need to double posts to get mentions working]

@Whimsley I did not consider the native ways of measuring length when writing my height, haha...

@Morose@hatakekuro Oh, by the way, I wanted to ask. I'm pretty sure we don't HAVE to if you don't want to, but I'd like us to possibly have ourselves be a group that travels together. So, in the case that you two agree, would you have any advice on how to get this suggestion across to your characters properly so it'll possibly make sense in-character?
… Now I suddenly realize that I have no idea how names typically sound in this region. Oh, well.

I thought it appropriate to, well, not jump at the chance to make the first post to receive a Pokémon (despite my character), but still usher us in that direction, so I made my post with that in mind. Like, I'm not the first in our kinda order, so I thought it appropriate to not break the order in that kinda way.

The interrupted line was because I really wanted Rowan to ask a friend-like question, but didn't feel there was time to force people to actually react to it. Haha.

Dewmeadow

'Ah!' A wave of relief went through Rowan as Yasha addressed him and shook his hand. He's a good guy! 'Okay, Yasha! I'm very happy to meet you! Haven't seen you before, so I assume you're new! Welcome to Dewmeadow!' The name sounded foreign, but given Yasha, that wasn't weird. With Rowan's limited contact with foreigners, he was very happy that this man gave such a nice first impression. He could be at ease with this person! … So, why does he prefer to be called his last name? Eh, he could ask that later, if he remembered. Now he was talking to Mara again, and...

'Huh?' She, um, didn't answer his question. She didn't tell him her name. Did she not want him to know? The reason why was beyond Rowan, so he simply chose to look slightly puzzled, looking from Mara to Yasha as they held their exchange. She asked questions, but had totally ignored his question. That felt odd. Oh, well. Still, yeah, they were going to become Pokémon trainers together and now they were becoming friends! This was an awesome day! Rowan allowed himself to grin happily.

'Hey, Yasha, Mara?' Rowan spoke out happily, AFTER Yasha had reacted to Mara's questions. 'What kind of Pokémon are you hoping to-'

'-The professor's coming!'
He interrupted himself and jumped on the spot as the door opened, Dogwood coming out telling off some laughing kids. Rowan was all wide-eyed and ready, his fists clenched together in front of his chest and eagerness in his expression.

I have no idea what "...1/8...2/15" after the height at Height means. Haha.
Since Mara's spoken to, I'll wait for her post before I do something. Saying it out loud so people know I'm waiting. Haha.
@Whimsley While they might not be allowed to RESPOND to the choice of the other trainer, I do feel that the winner should be allowed to bring their exhausted Pokémon out of battle in exchange for a clean slate. I personally feel the "best out of X" method would work much better in a real-life setting than a "we fight until one whole team has been defeated". What would you otherwise tell the first Pokémon you send out? If you can't take that one out of the fight, then you're essentially dooming it to be beaten up before the end of the fight as the enemy will just send something that can more easily fight it. XD

But yes, "Matt is about to use Poliwhirl, would you like to switch" clearly doesn't work. So, allow to take back, but both next Pokémon must be revealed at once, so none is responding to the other unless the winner is like "My Kakuna can beat anything you send out!". That's my suggestion.

And in case of battles against criminals without rules... They would be rule-less, wouldn't they? Hahaha...
@Whimsley Got it, allow me to edit that, then. Hm.
Unless I specifically make a character for that purpose, not a single one of my characters would ever allow themselves to be successfully blackmailed. This is because I, in real life, don't see the point of blackmail. It isn't as if giving in to the blackmail will get the blackmailing material out of the blackmailer's hands, so what's the sense in going along with it? Yeah, that's pretty much it.
@Lasrever ... Pfffth. Haha. I like your exit.
