Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

They started walking once more until they finally reached the clearing. The others started peeking through the flowers but he stayed back. They mentioned that there might be a guard or something. Alright, so Krissy's definitely there and that no one was in sight. He decided to peek through the flowers and indeed, he was right.

He looked at Celty. It was a nice plan and Devon quickly said no. "It might be the best way. I'll go with her as well. Seeing as I have a type advantage over these bug types and I'm in my natural element." He said before gesturing at the trees. They might have webbing everywhere but he could easily avoid those or burn it later on. "While we're distracting them, you guys could swoop in, save Krissy and we'll get out of here." It was a good idea. There are probably not that many guards out there, if any at all, given that they couldn't see anyone.

Drogo the Salamence

He smiled at Valentine's joke. Lightening the mood was a good thing. This might possibly be their last battle, and if they're too tense. Well, Drogo doesn't fight like that. He quickly got into position though. He took a deep breath and let it out. He looked forward to the time where they'd get the reward. It'll probably be the only thing he'll think of looking forward to after a while.

I'm cool with it too

Makoto rubbed the back of his head. What she said is true. It is hard to get competitive when you're trying to put someone in a life and death situation. Their weapons are mighty dangerous and one wrong move and you can injure someone... or worse. There were accidents before. "Yeah, I just lose the hesitation when I'm pitted against someone who has every intention to defeat me." He admitted. There aren't many students who would hesitate to take the first shot unless provoked like him. A lot would just go all out with no hesitation at all. "I suppose maybe having another form of tournament would be better than this."

"That so? That's good. A lot of people are really hoping this year." The red haired male said. A lot of the people in this academy sure is hoping for this one. Maybe it's a lucky year. Maybe not. If anything, he just wanted to win so that he wouldn't have to sit through the next few months listening to his friends' on how they should've done better, that the other side cheated and things akin to that. Really, that's mostly his reasoning.

Zaru the Chimchar

Zaru listened intently as Rico recounted the tale that happened way back that caused Lulu to be afraid of spider pokemon. Well, that certainly would be traumatizing. Poor Lulu. Good thing Spirit managed to lock it up for a few months.

A scream pierced the air and Zaru looked around, trying to determine where it came from. Bingo, to that direction. He then looked back at the group to see that Lulu had recovered and she's ready for action. It's amazing how a friend in danger could make someone face their fear. "Alright Lulu, glad to have you back." He said with a smirk.

He then looked at Devon. Without a single word, he followed. They had a much bigger group this time, probably not the best idea considering that the normal group should be 3, at most 4, but to heck with it, this wasn't much of a dungeon anyway. If they're up against bug pokemon, then he and the Riolu twins would have the upper hand. They had type advantage on their side. They probably won't get too outnumbered... hopefully.

Drogo the Salamence

The Hippowdon had taken the lead and Drogo started flying towards the next group before landing behind them. He looked around. So the next one was the last flight of stairs. It would be the top of the Sky Tower where Rayquaza was waiting eh? He was probably prepping himself up for battle. Drogo was mildly prepared for this. Hopefully all those reviver seeds/herbs wouldn't run out before they could defeat said legendary pokemon.

Zaru the Chimchar

"I hope it's not the reason too." Zaru mumbled as they continued walking, mind going through multiple scenarios on how Krissy was possibly kidnapped. She was outnumbered, that's for sure, but by what pokemon? That's the main problem here. If they didn't know who their opponents were, how would they know how to beat them? Guess they'll have to think of a plan on the spot. "But there are some really bad pokemon in this world." Sad but true. It was completely possible that that was the reason. But hopefully, it isn't.

Voices. There were voices coming from the other side. Zaru tensed up, ready for battle. That was, until he heard that it was actually Rico and not a hostile pokemon. He quickly relaxed and waved at them as he proceeded to walk. He let the others do the talking and stuff. His eyes trailed to Lulu who was in some sort of panic, mumbling something about spiders and being brave. He looked around. True, the spider webs were almost everywhere. Lulu was probably scared of those spider pokemon who might've made their nest here. Although he made no move to comfort the distressed Riolu, unfortunately, he wasn't very good at that.

More rustling sounds and Milton was on a battle stance. The Chimchar would've probably followed up but the trio already made their appearance. Ah, it was Cat's Grace. It was that little group who probably has little feuds with some of the pokemon he was with. Lurrie, Jinxie, Mejwl... He personally haven't gotten into any fights with any of them nor is there any grudge of sorts. They might be rude but they haven't done anything to them. It seems they think this is a sort of competition to see who gets to Krissy and save her first, they even mispronounced her name for some reason. However, he did wave at the Meowth, Mejwl, someone he had spoken to at some point in his stay at the village. They were on... friendly terms one could say. It was then that the three dashed out.

Zaru looked at Devon. "Devon, don't let it get to you. It only means they're getting on your nerves and that would be a victory for them." He told the Totodile. He then looked back at where the trio disappeared to. "I'm good to go." He replied.

Drogo the Salamence

"Got it." Drogo said as Valentine reported back what he had saw. So the dungeon seriously was empty huh? That was very weird and something he never thought he would hear. It would probably mean there are no items around that they could pick up too. Unfortunate.

He then looked upwards, towards where the sound was coming from. It was undeniably Rayquaza. So someone was here and slaughtered every pokemon inside the dungeon besides the legendary pokemon. Now that is weird. And he said that someone came back, but none of them have been here before as far as he knew. He then thought back. Maybe the Master had something to do with it or Rayquaza was just mistaken. Either way, it meant getting the job done faster which is good. Hopefully, they're going to fare well against him.

"Yeah, let's hurry up. I think he might be a little pissed off." He said before ascending the stairs as well. He began to think of tactics he might use. Hit and Run might be better, if he could dodge Rayquaza's attacks and if the others provide adequate distractions. He would probably be using Dragon Breath a lot if he wanted to keep his distance. Stay away from his line of vision too. Yeah, that would probably be best. Hopefully.

"I guess it didn't work out well in the end huh?" Makoto looked up to the sky and then let out a sigh. "Although aren't you one of our better players? Even with the close-range disadvantage." He asked. She was a third year after all and had more experience. He watched her once before and she was a pretty good fighter, to be expected from someone who has a pact with Heracles.

He then listened in on her reasons on why it would be useless and disadvantageous to have natural terrain for tournaments. He simply shrugged as he looked back at her. "Just a suggestion. It would make everything more interesting. After all, not all battles are meant to be played fair." It was something his father taught him when he was young. That even in the tournaments where they do their best to keep it fair between the competitors, there is an advantage and disadvantage. Just like how long-range opponents fair better against close-range opponents. In real time wars, if that happened, they should make the most out of their environment.

"Do you think we stand a chance of actually standing on top now?" He asked. It was a very common question around, now that the tournament's right around the corner. A lot of unsure people around here, and that included him. He was confident that the fighters were really good but they somehow get beaten at the last round. Frustrating and unbelievable. It's like the God of Misfortune decided to stick with Otsuki every time the tourney's here.

Indeed, Devon was correct. It was a beautiful place. It wasn't technically one of the mystery dungeons that they should be wary of before. But now, something didn't settle well in Zaru's stomach. There were spider webs hanging from the trees. That was definitely unusual. "Hm... No, as far as I know, they didn't take home here." He replied to Devon's question. He was half-tempted to climb up one of the trees to see if there's anything he can find out but it would be a bad idea. They had to keep on moving if they want to get to Krissy quickly.

And another weird thing was the signs of struggle and multiple footprints on the ground and the drag marks. Obviously, this was where Krissy was taken and wherever the drag lead was probably where Krissy was right now. But whose tracks were these? He hasn't seen a lot of pokemon but he could see where Krissy's tracks where. "Whoever took Krissy seemed really desperate. Do you think they're deliberately holding her hostage to get another pokemon in the village?" He asked. It's a possibility. He's just guessing, that's all.

Drogo the Salamence

The Haunter volunteered to go through the walls to see if there's anything worth reporting but it seems that the Bisharp was hesitant to let him go. True, splitting up seems like a bad idea given that this is the home of a legendary pokemon and all so it would be dangerous. Or rather, it should be. But ever since they got here, nothing has attempted to attack them. It was as if this place was empty. Very odd.

And so the Bisharp agreed to send out a scouting party which was him, Valentine and the Hippowdown. Drogo simply nodded before looking at the Haunter to lead the way. He was the one who suggested it after all. Now let's see what the Sky Tower had in store for them. Worst case scenario is that something else might've passed through here earlier and scared every pokemon away. But that doesn't seem likely. "Lead the way Valentine."

Zaru smiled as Devon seemed a little excited. It might be a rescue mission but this would be his first one. Well, personally, he had gone to dungeons to explore but he had only been on rescue missions for four-five times in his stay at the guild. He followed quickly as they went to the supply room and grabbed a bag from there. Milton was right, the elders always did nag them about being unprepared for a dungeon. He packed his bag with the extra necessary items for himself, just to make sure he could get in and out unharmed... for the most part. He grabbed his Sp. Attack looplet and wore it.

"I'd personally be more comfortable if I was in the middle. I'll be sure to guard you Devon." He wasn't at all a leader so he couldn't take top place but he could go behind him and they'll be set. Devon looked like he could use back-up too. Vaulting over the Totodile would be quite easy for a nimble monkey like him. He then looked at Celty who might accompany them. He wasn't too bothered with that fact but then again, wasn't there an Absol who followed the others?

This might be a great experience for all of them. After all, absolutely no one was in a team. If it would go well, maybe they could team up. Maybe. Hopefully.
Rundstrom Makoto

"Javelins? For ranged opponents right? We can be quite a pain to battle." Makoto said with a light chuckle. He had to admit, it is a little fun to play with short-ranged opponents. Shoot, dodge, shoot, dodge, explode. Although the Divine Gears make it easier to close in the distance or block his arrows, he could still just jump around. He could remember every single time someone got pissed off because of it. "I've always been hoping for a more challenging environment though. Like man-made forests or deserts and stuff like those. It would give both players a sort of advantage." And it would feel more natural. After all, weren't they training for more dangerous opponents?

"Not letting the school down, that's probably the thought that's always in the students' minds nowadays thanks to the school's`..." He paused, trying to think of another term that would somehow lighten the blow. "Well, our close calls." Almost everyone has become frustrated because of the string of losses in the history of Otsuki and frankly, they wanted to win for once. There are promising people now though.
