Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Gabriel looked towards the Myti who showed obvious disdain with their curiosity about the map - which might lead to the place where the person who was controlling the dead was. He thought the Myti would be braver than this. Wasn't he a magical researcher as well? The risks that came from being one was nothing compared to death, but maybe the Myti just had a better sense of self-preservation than himself. Nevertheless, Gabriel grinned at the Myti and then said, "Oh come on, where's your sense of adventure Myti?" He let out a light chuckle before something smashed into the wall of the gate. This caused his attention to shift quickly.

There, the forest golem was standing. Luckily, none of them were injured by the golem's arrival. He barely registered the Myti's words about mysterious woman and the flute guy when he saw them stumbling towards them - finally out of the fire of the battle. That was good. At least they survived, right? The forest golem doesn't even seem to recognize the two anymore, despite having kicked the mysterious woman earlier and let her fly like a ragdoll.

Gabriel then heard a familiar voice and he turned towards the source of it - Fauve. The girl seemed to have already acquainted with everyone there. That was good. He returned a nod when she passed him and greeted him with the same notion. He then looked back at the Myti who wanted to leave and he gave him a shrug, "I don't particularly care. If you guys want to go, then let's go I guess." The enchanter wanted to see where the map would take them, but if no one else wanted to go, he'll have to follow them.

Once Fauve came around, he turned to her so that she could get the full view of the map. He heard Corc mention a 'Foeldar' and seemed to be looking at the forest golem. Was that the golem's name? Good to know. He then looked up at Corc who asked him to guide the orc towards where the map wanted them to go. Perfect. An orc was probably the best thing he could get as a bodyguard. "Sure Corc. Ah, do you think you can watch my back? I'd appreciate it if I didn't have an arrow jutting out my stomach." He said with a light chuckle. "Name's Gabriel. Good to meet you... well, all of you." He said it loud enough for everyone to hear.

He turned to Fran. "So, are you coming?" Gabriel then shifted his weight to his other leg as he looked over to the group - but more specifically, Jack. "Anyone else curious on what this means? Most of the army is inside celebrating anyway, so maybe it wouldn't be that bad."
Do heroes swear? 'Cause I know Alex will let one out eventually especially in superhero form.

Via seemed rather pleased that something other than a magic stone was there - a Kobold Fang. She inspected it for a while before dropping it into her bag. She had seen a lot of them back in the city so she wasn't that interested. Then Amrec continued speaking, encouraging her to do better and that eventually, all that hardwork would pay off. That's right. She just had to survive. Smiling at Amrec again, but this time meant nothing else but gratitude, she spoke. "Yeah, you're right. Thanks, Amrec."

That was when Amrec moved ahead and she lagged behind a bit. This was mostly because Amrec had to be the vanguard or she might get in the way. She at least knew what her place was. That was when he stopped and drew his axes and she jogged towards him. "Oh." She muttered as she saw a skeleton warrior there. Amrec was right, they should have been a few floors below. Via knew that much since she looked it up and asked other adventurers before she went on for her own adventure. Amrec told her to stay back and then went into battle with the four skeletons.

She was looking up to him more and more.

Via turned around as soon as she heard the shrieks. Two goblins huh? She took a deep breath and began chanting, "Streaks of electricity surround me. Let your anger devour my enemies." She spread her hand forward and let the web of electricity spread forward to the charging goblins. As soon as the magic stopped flowing from her fingertips, she would grab hold of the hilt of her sword - waiting to see what would happen in her electrical field.
Furitta didn't realize that her wire had found its way to Talon's leg and made him fall over. He pulled her forward and then told her in a mildly irritated way to never do that again. He then went ahead to trap the bat inside an earth wall. He finally untangled the wire and dropped her. She sat up and then shook her head before looking over to Talon.

"You might've forgotten, but I can't fly like you bird-boy." She replied, but didn't seem all too angry or annoyed. It was like she just wished to get that out. That was when Rogue Bat's whip almost hit Talon, but missed and hit the stone wall instead. "You go purify that akuma, I got this." She patted him on the shoulder, knowing that he also had to get out of there before his time ran out. Since he had used his power, he had a few minutes before his suit would go down. They wouldn't want to get their identities revealed, now would they?

She then looked back at Rogue Bat - eyes steeling and then throwing a punch and sent a wire directly towards him so the blunt force from that kind of velocity would somehow knock him over.
@Rockin Strings

Yeah, well finals and school are really chaining me down. I'll have a post up later though.
Leonardo McLain

Leo listened intently - or as intently as someone who just went through pain that should have made him blac out - and nodded every now and then. Seriously, he was pretty impressed with what he was talking about, even though some of the terms went over his head, he did still get the basic gist of it. The man didn't delve much into how this 'evolved DNA' came about or when it had happened, but Leo was cool with that. He felt pretty great about being rather special. Who knew that he was better than his siblings in some way, and it was ingrained in his DNA. That was pretty damn cool.

Then, the man went on to tell them that the tablet was practically them and that he could just think about what he wants it to do, and then it'll do it for him. Finally, he could search for something on the go without having to pull a phone out. It was pretty dangerous to do that. The man suggested that they ask what a pod was and where he should go. Leo decided to test it out.

"Hey, my bro, what's a pod and where do I go?"

The tablet responded in kind - very brief flashes of what a pod looked like burst into his mind as well as directions to how he would get there. It was like he could get there with his eyes closed; just as he could navigate around his own house that he had lived in for well his entire life.

Then, they were dismissed. He looked over to the girl who had helped him and realized that she hadn't stayed. Aw. She was probably a senior or something, so she didn't need to stay. Oh well, he'll probably see her sooner or later. He stood up and then tested his leg again, putting more and more weight into it and he thought that it felt like... well, it felt like it hadn't broken at all. So, he now knew that he would give his injuries a lot less time to heal.

Good to know.

Leo followed the directions the tablet had given him earlier and found himself seeing a lot of the other students. Some of them stopped to say 'hi' to the freshmen. What nice people. He wasn't sure what to say about the housing in general, but his mind had already overloaded with weirdness so he just shrugged it off and went on in.

Before he could enter, however, the tablet began to talk.

> You should take off your shoes. I'll take it out when you need to go out so don't worry.

A tray appeared on the floor and he took off his shoes and placed them inside. It then disappeared into the floor.

Leo just nodded and then entered. He did usually go around on foot inside his own house so he wasn't at all bothered by this. He continued on inside with his mind on autopilot once more. He began to climb up as he was on Floor six. The others looked really fit, and he was very impressed. Now this was his kind of place. He already loved it to bits.

He then headed for Pod 7, which was his Pod along with some others apparently. He spotted a black pad and the tablet immediately began speaking.

> Swipe the insignia over there.

It was like he had a pointed like in the video games as he immediately turned to the black pad, even though it wasn't really eye-catching for him. Seeing as his wristband had an insignia, he used that for the swipe and the door opened.

The place was impressive, and that was from the eyes of someone coming from the rich family like Leo. He then spotted someone over at the couch and he waved and grinned, "Yo, what's up?" He then sat down on one of the chairs and then looked up - as if still taking in the room.
@Mt Paragon

Ahh, alright alright. I'll take that into account as I make this post.
@Mt Paragon

Just to be sure, are we all rooming with each other or nah?
Furitta pretty much got the timing correct, but Serpentine had already decided to take on the Instructor. Somehow. Talon tried to get the whip, but missed. Maybe the earlier fights had gotten them tired. Furitta admitted that she was tired, and Poyzz was running out of juice if she wasn't mistaken. Nevertheless, she soldiered on. With the momentum still there, she headed straight for the whip - rolled and grabbed it before standing upright again and bolting it out of there. She needed to break the whip.

Thankfully, she had gauntlets for weapons. The gauntlets seemed to buzz in agreement as she danced around the teenagers to avoid their grapples and then jumped up to a nearby counter. Wires shot out of her gauntlets as she got herself up on one of the signs that was hanging which surprisingly held her weight. She wasn't going to complain about this conveniently excellent workmanship.

She wrapped the one end of the whip around her gauntlet. She took the other side of the whip and simply tied behind one of the poles that held up the sign. She then began pulling back, using every bit of her strength to break it - and even placed one foot on the pole to aid her in ripping apart the whip right in the middle. Furitta didn't know when it snapped - but it did. It also sent her tumbling backwards and she fell. With a sharp gasp, she realized that she was going straight to the ground at high velocity.

She swung her arm - letting the wire hit anything and it latched onto something and she felt herself bounce just in the air. Furitta hung there for a while, the teenagers thankfully not trying to swat her away. She saw the miniature bat attempting to fly away. "The bat! The bat!" She yelled before sending another wire towards it - but she missed, likely because of her losing concentration.

Jack had gotten ahead of him at some point, though Gabriel was more glad that he could cover the rear rather than him having to stick so close. Nevertheless, he knew the path was clear and he could slip through a number of skeletons if it meant he can get out. However, his eyes were still on the two people there. Gabriel knew that eventually he'd run out of arrows again, and he didn't see any corpses around here that he could loot to get more arrows. Maybe some stray arrows the skeletons shot out, but that didn't mean much if he had to charge in a horde of skeletons to get his new ammunition.

Perhaps he had been too focused on trying to snipe down other skeletons for the mysterious woman and flute guy that he missed the exact moment the forest golem decided to go all ballistic on the ally. The only thing he saw was the woman's flying body. He scrunched up his face as he saw her land - no doubt some parts of her was broken if she was still alive. But the flute guy seemed to have thought that she was still alive as he rushed towards her, but signaled for him to retreat.

Nodding his head, Gabriel turned back and headed for the West Gate where he saw the ones at the tavern. Well, what were the odds of that, right? Then again, most of them looked capable when he saw them at the tavern, so there should have been little doubt in his mind that they would have surprised. The orc, Corc he learned his name was, was present as well. That put him a little at ease. If he didn't go ballistic like that golem did, and it really did look like the orc was docile to the living, then he was safer than he imagined himself to be. Gabriel had stayed quiet for a while - gaze flickering to every person there. He wondered if these were the only ones that got out save for those in the Church that flute guy managed to evacuate. Hopefully not.

He reached back again, counting how many arrows he had left. He wouldn't say he had plenty, but if there were no more fights to be fought that was a full-blown war like this one, then this was enough to last him for a while. But maybe he should make more later. While thinking this, his feet practically collapsed under him and he sat down. Perhaps it was because of the excitement but he felt like he could just lay down here and sleep. Resting for a while doesn't seem like a bad idea, but he knew that he needed to be prepared to move just in case the skeleton horde decided that coming after them was their next agenda.

The talk of the map was brought up when the orc asked Jack about it - referring to him as the gauntlet man. He also said that it was Fran who had told him that. Oh, so she was alive. That was good. He'd rather have her alive really, considering how well she fought during the short time he actually saw her fight. She may be crude, but he can certainly appreciate her skill and straightforwardness. Can't find much of that these days, with people full of secrets and whatnot.

Procuring the map from his bag which had miraculously stayed with him and relatively unharmed during the fight, he waved it in front of him so the group could see. "You mean this map?" He questioned with a small grin on his face. "I can understand why Fran would want to look at this again. It's too much of a coincidence that Nadska is crossed out here while the forest is encircled." He opened the map to show everyone what he was talking about.
