So is this pretty much an RP set within the besieged city, and we are simply trying to survive? Or trying to fight? I am quite interested in the premise, I'm just curious.

@Chaotic Chao Roleplaying, even though it involved other people, is still writing essentially. And the best way to learn how to write is to read. A lot. Other than that, interacting with others and practicing your writing skills will help you improve in a way that you hardly notice until you're simply better. Keep it up!

So my ex never had a car to drive and we worked at the same business complex, so I used to drop her off home. When she broke it off because she said I was too nice and too helpful, one thing she was annoyed about was me driving her home all the time.

Um... It saved you a 45min bus trip, I got to spend time with you and it was a 2 street detour. So how is that too helpful or too nice?

I'm going to go ahead and say that you dodged a bullet on that one lol. Like, if you did nothing wrong and they developed feelings for someone else, that'd suck. But if you did nothing wrong and they dumped you FOR that reason? They're warped in the head.
Not saying you don't have a right to complain though. I feel ya, man.

Colin was finding that not everyone in his squad was agreeable or friendly, but he reminded himself that a few of them there seemed nice enough. As soon as Captain Meulemann entered, he flinched and spun, before saluting and standing, reminding himself to breath after a few seconds. As the list of names were announced, he deflated until he had what could only be described as an expression as curious as a lost puppy. That is, until he heard that he'd be staying here. Well...guess that's my luck.

He gave another salute to the Captain, before saluting Corporal James Hunt and following him. He slipped his hands in his pockets and looked around as he followed, so very ready to fight but also so very ready to make lasting friendships from his comrades. If only he could learn to slow down a bit.

High school and post high school is very different. Teenagers tend to be full of raging hormones. Plus I do disagree with the "official until sex" aspect mostly cause if your main goal is to simply get a fuck buddy, yes I am dropping that term, then you've missed the whole point of what a relationship is.

A relationship that will last is one that is of close friends that want to stay together for the longest of times. All the relationships that I have seen that have lasted are the ones that follow this rule since they are thinking about each other, their feelings, and their hardships; not the next time they'll have an orgasmic time.

If someone tells you that you are not sexy enough, then there is a higher chance that they don't care about who you are as a person and only want your dick/vagina.

I agree with you, yet this confuses me from your original complaint.
The best boyfriend and girlfriend (or same sex) couples are best friends first, and they evolve naturally into that. So why be annoyed if someone only sees you as a friend? I mean, I realize you're interested in them, but are you helping them because you're interested, or because you're friends?
Like, I've only ever been with one girl, and it came about naturally and before we even realized what was happening. That lasted close to two years and was great. Since then, I've had trouble with telling other girls I am not interested, instead of the other way around. And not because I'm some hunk or something, but because I help them out with stuff and expect nothing back because I'm pursuing other interests. To be honest I'm against the whole premise of 'looking for someone'. If the best relationships are formed naturally, then who I am supposed to be with will show up because I am who I am, and she is who she is.
Although I can definitely understand being there for someone and then they start dating someone out of the blue, someone who could be really shitty and you feel bad for them.
