Iris

@Saint Girralo

Iris stared with shock as the girl stood up. Of course she knew she was tall sitting; but standing? Iris felt meager. When the girl spoke, the difficulty it caused became apparent. She listened patiently and smiled kindly up at her. "It's nice to meet you, Sarah. I'm Iris." She glanced at her hand and realized it was bigger than her entire body. She swallowed. One wrong move, and the girl could curs her. To be safe, she didn't move quite yet so she didn't startle her. It proved to be a correct move since Sarah glanced around to make sure she wasn't being surrounded or ambushed. Iris quickly spoke up, "It's just me. I'm on my own. I don't have anyone else." A lump formed in her throat and her eyes teared up. What happened to her parents? Were they alive? Had they died? She felt terrible not knowing or being there to help them. She sighed and tried to focus on the present. There was no time to think about this right now. She wiped her eyes quickly with her sleeve to try to pass it off as having dust in her eye.

Then, she added to change the subject and clear her mind: "Is this your farm? It's nice. I haven't been to one before since I'm usually in the city." Iris sized her up, trying to see if she was starving or nourished. As While she had been speaking, she had her hands on the spokes and was wheeling back and forth. It was like someone pacing to her. Do you need any food? I have some in my backpack if you do." Iris took a deep breath to allow her to respond and smiled at the cow. It was so cute. How could anyone eat the poor animal? She wouldn't understand. She sighed and then looked up at Sarah again, trying not to let off that it hurt her neck.

Drake

@Penguin @Sanctus Spooki

The chaos that ensued startled Drake. It took him a few moments to gather his thoughts and understand what had happened. First, a girl came galloping over on her horse and tried to save the girl. The comment "harder to track hooves and paws than feet" stuck in his head. It was true. Meanwhile, this newcomer's dog began to maul the man attacking the women. He stared in surprise as the first girl being attacked turned around and revealed herself to be Adelaide. His jaw dropped and his eyes widened. They had been separated for so long that he thought they would never reunite. Before he could yell out, reality smacked him in the face. The sound of his gunfire had echoed and now the other two men were rounding on him. They were distraught over their friend dying and the sudden onset of people. Drake's gunfire had caused too much attention. He set his rifle in his holster and took his bat out. "Come and get me." He taunted at them and grinned. He knew that needed to get one out. Fighting both would not be the best option. Adrenaline strung him up. He was jittery on his feet and tense inside.

The two men came at him, though Drake jumped out of the way quickly. He swung his bat onto the first man's neck, causing him to yell out. The sickening crunch sent a chill through Drake's spine. As he attacked him, Drake could see Tia being hurt. He saw the fight all over again. He heard his brother and parent's being murdered and his fury rose inside of him. He was so sick of innocent people being hurt and killed. He was done with it. His eyes flashed with ferocity. To continue his assault, Drake quickly grabbed him by the arm and yanked it out of its' socket. The yell echoed loudly. He pushed the assailant into the other man and caused them both to trip. His strength had come in handy and Drake was thankful for it. He took his bat and swung again as the second man stood up. He caught Drake's bat and glared. Before he could react, he swung the bat at Drake's knees. He yelped in pain and limped backwards. The next hit connected with his abdomen and he spat up blood. Pain rushed through him and caught him off guard.

Blinded by tears of pain, grabbed his rifle. Drake blinked furiously to combat the onset of tears. The man's laughter caused his stomach to churn. He'd never understand the pleasure people received from hurting innocent people. He squared his shoulders, then swung the butt of it at the man and smacked him in the temple. He then leaped at him and grabbed the bat from him and kicked him in the chest. He knocked the man down and then swung his leg at his head. The man collapsed finally. Drake watched for a moment, then staggered over to the side to throw up blood. The pain rushed over again as he lifted his shirt to check his stomach. It was bruising fast. He touched it and winced in pain, though he didn't feel anything inside was broke. His left ribs did feel punctured though. He groaned and sat upright again with difficulty. He glanced around as he remembered Adelaide.

"Adelaide," He coughed out and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. "Addie?" He looked around for her and wiped at his eyes and mouth once more. "Where are you?" Out of the corner of his eye, he saw another man aiming his gun at the girl with the horse and dog. Drake tried to move over and coughed loudly. He groaned again and cursed in his head. Why was he aiming at this girl? "What the hell are you doing?"

Perenelle

@Penguin @Joshua Tamashii

When the food arrived and her portion was smaller, Perrie felt a rush of annoyance. There was a reason behind this. Was it spite? Anger? She began trying to discover its purpose then looked around. The men and women who had been out had the largest portions. She smirked and leaned back in her chair. That made sense. Amelia was taking care of her wolves for her. She felt a rush of gratitude. The wolves needed to be healthy, fit, and strong in order to perform well. This wouldn't go unnoticed by her, despite it; she was definitely going to speak to Amelia. If it happened again, the girl was going to get her ass kicked. Didn't she understand that she had to eat too? Perrie decided to let it slide - just once. She would try another motive.

While eating, she wondered what Xander had said to Amelia in the kitchen. However, asking in private would be more ideal. She gazed at Xander sweetly and held his hand. "I hope you enjoy your food, Black-Wolf. You did a great job today," Perrie squeezed his hand gently and gazed around once more at everyone's plates. The food was delicious. They had found themselves a decent and talented cook. She wasn't going to immediately show her annoyance with Amelia. Freaking out wouldn't be wise. Instead, she smiled warmly, despite the ferocious look in her eyes. "The food tastes delicious, doesn't it?" Her voice carried throughout the dining hall. Several wolves looked up but didn't answer.

"Amelia,"She glanced over at the child, "why don't you come join us?" She smiled underneath her mask. "After all, you need your strength, too. Take the seat across from me. There was a stunned silence; then the wolves commenced eating. Perrie smiled at her sweetly and gestured her over again. There were exchanged glances but she ignored them.
Mostly because I think he was expecting some help xD that's what Adelaide is for I guess though, I just felt kinda guilty about it haha

Haha don't worry. Drake is a tough cookie.

I'm female - by the way. :)
@Potter
Perhaps so, Vivi isn't particularly friendly but she does make the occasional exception. She is headed to town though.

Ah, okay. They can meet up another time then.
Penguin has stated her rules clearly. Please listen to her and what her decisions are. If you are unhappy, please maturely discuss it with her via PM. The only person who decides what goes or not is her and is not up for anyone else to discuss.

Thank you! :)

Happy posting everyone. I look forward to the posts.

@Bleu Flacon - I liked your post. Your character would make great friends with Iris who is a huge animal lover. Maybe the three of us could meet up? I'm [Iris] with Saint right now.
Please stop discussing it and wait for Penguin and I to address the matter. Thank you.
Everyone, let's take a deep breath and give room for us to post, yes? Thanks! :)
@Potter Okay, so Amelia might be safe. Might being the optimal word.

I'm full of surprises. :p
@Saint Girralo - I posted Iris meeting Sarah. She loves Sarah's cow - but not to eat. I'll emphasis that. These two would make great friends.

@Sanctus Spooki - I posted Drake by Adelaide as well, though I left room for Hiram. It would take more than just him to scare the men off anyways. They can be friends (if you want). :D

@Joshua Tamashii - indeed! You'll see her reaction when I post her. More than likely she will.
@Penguin @Sanctus Spooki

Drake

The young man with dark hair and piercing blue eyes caused fear in anyone who looked him in the eye. There was something dark and brooding about him, despite him never doing anything wrong. It worked in his favor because he was left alone. Though, on the other hand, it would have been nicer to have company. He sighed and ran a hand through is hair. He did have company up until being betrayed and killed. His heart ached tremendously for Tia. The pain paralyzed him. The next thing he knew, he was on the ground doubled over and struggling to breathe. Drake took shuddering deep breaths while his eyes filled with tears. The poor girl was alone or even dead. It was his fault. Drake knew he'd never forgive himself for leaving her. After the incident, he had stayed up for 36 hours until losing consciousness. Drake had gone back to work the next day to look for her without success. Now, he was meandering aimlessly, trying to find her. Xander and his parents were dead. Sometimes he wondered if it would be best to join them. His gut, though, told him otherwise. He had hope Tia was alive and would find her again someday. He owed it to his little sister.

When he stood back up and noticed people were staring, he let out a menacing growl. They scattered quickly. He stood back up and straightened his backpack. It was filled with his weapons and food supplies he had found. He had found canned soup, beans, and a packet filled with rice. Drake had also found fruit cups and even a banana. Despite it being nearly brown, he was pleased with it. He was going back to his "home" when he spotted smoke in the sky. Drake slowed to a halt and frowned. There was fire as well.

"Dammit," he muttered and began to sprint towards it. Though he stayed on his own and didn't interact with others, he wouldn't turn a blind eye to someone in peril. His stomach churned uncomfortably and he felt as if he might panic. Drake hated his anxiety more than anything, besides himself. Someone was in trouble. Perhaps that individual had someone in their life too. He didn't want what happened to him to happen to anyone else.

When he arrived, he saw the hut was destroyed, then noticed three men chasing a woman. One of them was injured, which meant she was armed. The gunshots from them en made him jump. He knew he couldn't catch up to them so instead he took his knives out. Drake whipped them individually at each assailant. He quickly took his rifle out next and fired warning shots into the war to grab their attention. "What kind of cowards gang up on a woman like that?" He snarled at them as he began to jog over. "Awful cowardly if you ask me, assholes,"

Iris

For most people, a dirt road was nothing. Yet, for Iris, it was a challenging endeavor. Her wheelchair took a beating from bumpy dirt roads. Thankfully she knew how to fix it but it was difficult. She sighed as she gripped the wheels and adjusted herself. She took her drawstring back off the back of the wheels and tucked it behind her back to rest her neck against it. Almost instantly she let out a sigh of relief. Her neck was aching from keeping it upright. She painstakingly leaned over to the right and fixed the clothing seated underneath her butt for comfort. Then Iris leaned over and adjusted the straps against her legs since they had come loose. Years of using the same chair had worn it out. She pulled her bow and arrow over her body closer and tucked the quiver in her pant loop. The knives she had sharpened were tucked in her boots. The collapsible spiked cane had a sting around one of the spikes and was looped like a necklace.

Iris knew it was dangerous displaying all of her supplies but she didn't trust putting anything on the back of her chair. It was too easy to come up behind her and steal it. Although Iris hated to hide her wings, she knew nobody could find out about them. It was too dangerous. Her jacket covered them, as did the shirt underneath. She wore layers to keep herself warm and to keep them hidden. Whenever it was dark out, she would go flying to keep her wings fit and healthy. She sighed. It had been two days since had flown since the town had been filled with bandits. She was thankful she had avoided any mishap.

Lost in thought, she jumped when her stomach growled from her lack of nutrition. Iris hated the idea of eating any animal, so she was struggling to find food. The crops were dead around the area. Nuts and berries were all she had left and she had already consumed most of them. Her eyes teared up at the thought of eating animals. Eventually, she knew she might have to give in; though, momentarily, she was fighting it. These poor animals didn't deserve to die just because she was starving. Iris sighed and performed a wheelie over the uneven ground. Once over it, she rolled normally over the ground. Her gloves were dirty from gripping the dirty rim and wheel. She wiped them off on her tattered pants and wiped the sweat off her face with her jacket sleeve.

When she turned the corner, Iris found herself facing a field. In the field, however, was the tallest person she had ever seen. Iris stared at her and then to the cow. She glanced back to the girl and swallowed. The land looked easier to maneuver then the bumpy dirt road leading out of town. Iris, though, kept her distance. She seemed harmless. She wasn't hurting the cow and was petting it rather sweetly. Iris bit her lip. She wanted to join her and yearned fro company. What if this girl wasn't innocent? Iris sighed and decided to test it knowing she was armed enough already if it was trouble. "Hello?" She called to the girl. "Do you mind if I join you? I love cows - not to eat, but in general." Iris offered a friendly smile and added, "Don't let my equipment scare you, please. It's for my safety - not to hurt your animals with." Iris was impressed that her soft voice carried over the large terrain. She smiled kindly at the girl and allowed her to approach her first.
I'm so happy to see more posts! :) I will hopefulyl have a post up by the end of the day with all 3 of my characters.

I'm kinda hoping for someone to interact with me before I respond, but I'll post today/tomorrow before work if that doesn't happen.

I'll interact with you with Iris. Give me a bit to type it up, okay? :)

<Snipped quote by Potter>

I'm fine, just got done with my first day at a new job.

Also, Perenelle is baring her fangs a bit, figuratively speaking, eh?

LOL. be careful, this one has claws and fangs - figuratively and realistically.

I could see myself joining this. What are the limits on mutations? I have an idea gor a guy who can be the leader of a group known as the Witches, each member having a non-physical mutation.

I would say nothing with super-powers, such as telekinesis or along those lines. I gave Iris wings, so that's okay. Gills, claws, fangs, are acceptable. Nothing overly-powerful or anything invincible. Penguin may have more to say, but that's my take on it.
