as a patreon reward I will read your least favorite person's handmade custom tabletop RPG homebrew and ask them why they didn't just run it in 5e instead

I started RP before double digit age but you couldn't have gotten an admission I was under 18 under threat of death. Kids just casually admiting it online now is wild.

@Moonlit Sonata Welp, since we've got enough Masters already, I guess I'll withdraw my Master app.

A few minutes later, the van was clear of any pursuit thanks to a few well-placed time dilation fields placed to slow any pursuers. Runner stopped the van by an empty lot, letting go of the wheel to walk back and check on Zer0's condition.

"She's stable? I'll call for the medevac then?" He murmured, pulling a disposable phone out and dialing Cash's number.

"Cash? It's Runner. We're stopped in that empty construction lot on the corner of 34th and 8th. If you've got the medevac ready to go, this'd be a good time to send it in." He said before ending the call and checking what he'd been sent.

"Right, once Zer0's been moved, we'll head as close to the slums as we can on vehicle before proceeding on foot."

I'll get to work on a Master soon. Midterm tomorrow, followed by a shitton of hard drinking.
I have a Rider pretty much ready to go. Just need to actually get the concept down in words and adjust for balance and shit.

EDIT: Realized Rider wouldn't work if he just had one NP available. Can rework him as an Assassin.

"God DAMN it!" Runner bellowed as the impact shook the van. "End's going to be on my ass for months now! Everyone in the back alr-" He glanced back to check on the passengers before pausing as he took in the hole in Zero0's chest. Shit. This wasn't good.

"Diva." His voice fell steady, trying to take command of the situation and calm the hyperventilating girl down while keeping his eyes on the road. "Breathe. In and out. Advent, can you stabilize her? I'll call it in."

"Runner here. Bad news, Zer0's down. Armor penetrating round to the chest. Advent's attempting to stabilize, but she needs immediate medical attention. Cash, can you call in a medevac?"
There was no question about it. As knights of Astopol, they were duty-bound to slay the monstrous and inhuman wherever they went, and Rift Beasts were no exception. Even if they stayed the course to track the serial killer down, the killer would no doubt go to ground with the emergence of the Rift Beast, rendering it a moot point to begin with.

"Agreed." He said curtly, drawing his greatsword. "The killer's most likely going to flee with this Rift Beast around, which renders continuing the hunt pointless." He sized the monster up while considering the capabilities of his comrades. They'd all been briefed on what each other could do before they'd left Astopol, so coming up with a strategy wasn't difficult.

"An overwhelming first strike is likely our best opening gambit. I suggest that Ambroise use her Sword Arts to take it off guard before we three follow up and assault it."

Shit. Policus was here. That limited their options immensely. Even if they were to waste time and effort fighting enforcement bots, destroying them would only bring the wrath of a heavy-response team down the Cleaners' heads. And a more magical option might have Policus leave it to the Prohibitum Agent's jurisdiction, which was an even worse death sentence for himself and certain other members of the team.

End had the right idea, and Runner immediately whirled the van around, starting to hightail it out of the combat zone.

"Roger that, End." He keyed his comm. "Don't worry, I've driven worse clunkers than this in firefights and came out in one piece." With that said, he glanced back and up to the roof for a moment, gesturing for Arsenal to get back down before her presence drew attention from any pursuers.
With no magical skill to speak of, Hector could only take Ambroise and Jacque's statement at face value, nodding his understanding. The heavy fog around him only added to his unease, with the young noble noting that this was the perfect territory and atmosphere for an ambush.

Hector blinked once, and all of a sudden, his vision was filled with nothing but the sight of his allies being fallen upon by monsters, screams filling the air. He blinked a second time, and the delusion was gone. Hector shook his head, trying to focus back on the present. No. It wouldn't happen again this time. He would be more watchful. He wouldn't allow another massacre of his allies to occur.

"Right. With this in mind, stopping for a rest would just leave us open for an ambush. Best to keep moving. Keep alert, and keep your weapons at the ready. We've likely already been detected by our quarry."

Runner simply grunted an assent at End as he took her place in the driver's seat, immediately gunning the engine. His eyes widened from behind his helmet as a heavy machine gun swiveled towards their position.

"I'm going, I'm going!" He roared back up at Arsenal as he furiously yanked the wheel, slamming down on the accelerator. The armored van began to erratically twist and turn around the outskirts of the combat zone, minimizing its profile to enemy fire while still giving the turret gunner up top as clear of a field of fire as possible.

"Do we leave or do we keep helping the Wireforts? This isn't our fight." He asked into their comms, drawing his pistol and leaning out the window to plug a few bullets into the heads of several assailants.
