Madou: Vivid World

This is why I wish to have all basic/fundamental/required information to be told in advance. My earlier post concerning it already buried in the OOC, so misconception is understandable.

Fundamental of ESP

ESP or Extrasensory perception, is the reception of information sensed by mind rather than physical senses like hearing, sight, smell, touch, and taste. Normal human also possess some kind of "extra sense" (or 6th sense, if you like to call it that) themselves but simply cannot utilize it. This where [Pure Energy] comes to play. People who were born with high aptitude/affinity with [Pure Energy] able to utilize their extrasensory perception. Their aptitude/affinity also helps them to develop some kind of "Pure Energy generator" within their body which produce [Genetic Pure Energy] (or GPE). Esper able to uses the GPE they produce to utilize their "extra sense", this what defines their power. Thus, ultimately Esper only possess one power. For reference, the ESP setting is partially based on the book by Joseph Banks Rhine, naturally.

I'll explain about Magic later. I'll just state the obvious for now.

Jackson DuCarthy

Demon Attractor: This doesn't count as "Skill/Ability". This already stated on his Bio. Well, I'm sure you just forgot to, since earlier this was power to manipulate demon. Divided Mind: This is, undoubtedly, a physiology state. Please refer to ESP explanation above, if you unsure why. To sum it up, this doesn't use [GPE], thus, does not qualify as ESP power in this setting. Just state this in his Background. Telekinesis: You have to downgrade this. Telekinesis is one of the widest subject to cover since anything under the Physical system (which practically anything excluding Environment system) count as subject of this power. To lift object with his mind is given, but to go as far to lit fire and split molecules is another story (refer to [Insight] below). Basically you cannot control anything beyond pre-existing objects such as pound of water, a table, building, etc. Meanwhile, as for distant and force your character can achieve will depends on his mind can handle. As for how his power works, is as follows; Jackson's GPE is what moves the objects. It goes through the medium of air to the desired object, coat it, and finally moves the object according to his will.

Insight

Most species of creatures only able to use 3-5% of their brain capacity. It's estimated that human can only uses around 10% of their brain capacity due to their computing limitation. Now, due to this limitation we cannot compute/process information of ever-changing molecules or particle, like the process of combustion. Yes we can see fire, but we cannot see the transformation of the oxygen. Without every information/data of it, we cannot reproduce/recreate that phenomena. Even if Jackson study the theory of it, it will not be sufficient to fully achieve full reproduction of the phenomena. Unless Jackson have somewhat break the limit of his brain capacity to over 10%, he can only do what he can imagine to full extend of detail. His mind can picture/simulate the phenomena of a floating table and execute it with his power, but he cannot do the same with producing lightning bolt as his brain cannot comprehend all phenomena surrounding it to the microscopic level and smaller.

Understood, Will change it to just the basics, though he's still extremely strong with it. As for how much his mind can handle, it's quite a lot, but continued use of his ability of anything beyond 15 minutes will start to fatigue him, and he will be unable yo use his ability safely about an hour after that. As for the stuff being in the wrong place, I'll fix it. It was around 4 in the morning and I have a problem with sleeping some times, so I was a little out of it. I changed Demon attractor because I'm not sure how you guys are going to play those, so I didn't think having a person who could control them, even sllightly, would be okay. Divided mind will be moved to miscellaneous. As for magic, ugh, nasuverse mechanics always give me a headache. How faithful to it are you going to be, just want a heads up as to how many times I'm going to have to look back at the wiki tomsee if what I want my guy to do will work or not. However, now this brings my biokinetic guys abilities into question. What he can do is shift organic material in anyway he prefers, consuming more by devouring other living beings. He'd also be able to fain access to the memories of those he devours, via consumption of the brain. He'd also have a high regenerative factor,,similar to Julia except he can be killed by complete eradication of the brain, and he needs to eat as well. Esper would be poisonous to him, with a single drop ov their blood making him very ill and weakened. Would that work,in conjuction with this explanation of espers.

@Masaki Haruna Finished my changes, he should be better now, wasn't sure how to limit a characrter that's supposed to be a human nuke, but I did put some limitations. If their are still problems, I'll fix them when I'm in a better frame of mind, which is not now.

Also in terms of your character, that shit is op as hell. It also defies reality as what you've stated would never happen.... Ever. One cannot simply make something, like a lightning bolt following from your example. Where does he get the energy from to create it? If he uses his own energy to do these things, meaning that he slightly dies/weakens every time he does something like this then I think that would be a significant trade off. Anyway, just putting my thoughts forward :D

That was kinda the point, as the power was called Reality Shifting, but since it been denied, I'll switch it to something else. TBH, I didn't expect the power to get accepted, but put it out anyway to get the creative juices flowing, now I think I can give him a better power.

Rai. Change your powers. Though your writing qualifies for a human nuke, try something more scientific. If you wanna stick with power copy, it's fine but try and have some limits.

Got it, will do when I'm less tired, will try something more sciency. Keeping the divided mind thing though, but it will probably lack the power change. If the power copy is kept, the limitation is will be the same, it has to be something he can see. Very limiting, especially with the powers he has available.

True, but Kuro doesn't use his abilities for fighting, never has to worry about fights beause of it, and can never get caught pulling his favorite prank, which is stripping people, so be warned.
