Grim said as he extended a now gloved hand to grasp Tsai's wrist in a non-to delicate fashion and lifting it away from the sketchbook before she caused anymore damage, hardly noticing the sicknening discomfort that was the effect of her caustic secreations. He felt anger towards the Dryad for ruining the drawing, but it was more out of principle then anything else. What she destroyed was nothing more than a practice, so he would make such a big fuss over it. "Now then, unless you think you can take me in a fight, I suggest you find someplace else to sit if my presence bothers you. Whether or not you stay, I'll commence on another piece of my work and if you try to mess this one up, you'll lose your hand Do I make myself clear, Dryad, or do I need to prove that this is no hollow threat."

So there we go, Ian's broken and I hoped I kept it in character. Didn't know whether to or not Lorenzo would let him pass out, so I didn't know how to end it right. Hope this better than my last post.

Also, Ian will now have problems talking to two members of the team outside of combat scenarios, as opposed to just one

Ian was making a good show, but that's all it was. He wanted scream his throat raw as he witnessed his legs getting turned into mincemeat by the deformed creature that was consuming them, but any scream that did go out was muffled by his clenched teeth and lips. He eas too proud, too willful to given into that slimy fucker. And then, it was over, the creature was being dragged back and Ian let out a ragged breath of relief, just managing a small smile to cross his face. Lorenzo was saying something, but Ian couldn't make any of it out through his pain addled mind, and he honestly didn't care what the psycho said. As far as Ian was concerned, he'd won this battle of wills.

Hearing Sigma's voice and footsteps he looked up, wondering what she was doing. Then his mind exploded with indescribable agony as she shoved something into his left eye. Unprepared and already drained from before, the scream that clawed it's way out of his throat faced no resistance, his body jerking and straining against the restraints holding him, trying to get as far away from Sigma as he could. The scream soon grew into an animalistic roar as she yanked it out of it's socket, blood mixing with the tears that streamed down Ian's face. The screaming and struggling died down a little after that, only to ruse again as Sigma got to work on his toes.

Ian's back bled as he thrashed about, the needles tearing gashes into his flesh as he tried to escape the pain, all of the pain. About 5 minutes after Sigma finishes, Ian would be huddling up as far into himself as his body and restraints would allow, his figure shuddering violently as his screams broke down into agonized sobs. His remaining eye was covered by his hair, leaving only the gaping socket to be visible to those present.

@Thanatos Basically what everyone else said, was trying to see if he had any hidden depths in Ian's question, but then shit hit the fan. You should try to give him something more tnan just robotic lines of response to everything.

Man, all tho talk has made me want to edit my post, but since Gnar's already working on theirs now, I don't want to fuck it up, Especially since I already gave him permission to write up Ian's breakdown for purpose of speeding along the story. Eh, I'll just wait and see.

@Ammokkx I find Serah's bits fun to read, so I think she's an all around good character.

@Gnar The Missing LinkI knew and accepted the fact that there would be consequences for Ian's actions, no need to remind me. Like I said, it was a cluster fuck from the get-go. But you can't call the torture thing discipline, cause it's goes above and beyond that. The shooting was disciplining, the torture is just overkill, but like I said, I'll accept it.

@Gnar The Missing LinkYou can have Ian breakdown in anyway you like, as long it makes sense with the character, but we do need to move this along.

@Dondude It's not that he isn't going to break, he just hasn't broken yet. Torture isn't somethung that happens instantly, even really painful stuff takes time. As for him getting shot, I would've had him pass out, but as I said earlier, assumed their is some sort of stimulant in the needles. Not to mention I'm way out of my depth here, writing-wise. Never written a scene like this before, plus I'm not really well versed in describing pain or how much certain things hurt.

Also, I do agree that Ian's getting tortured is kinda over the top to the extreme, and something I had trouble understanding the reasoning behind as well. Iif I hsd been awake when it was posted, might've said something against it.

@Gnar The Missing Link I think a better wzy would've been to show Ian the Cruxi, or show him the Cruxi eating someone else. Both would've been morre effective in the long run without damaging the pilot's mental state.

@Ammokkx I assumed that whatever it was they stuck into Ian is also keeping him awake and conscious, so he can better feel the pain. I still feel that Ian would be lucid enough, and have just enough will to mutter that one line of dialogue before it went in for the second bite, whuch involves bones breaking and what not. It's not like he's speaking normally or anything like that. I thought I gave off the impression that he was speaking through clenched teeth or something.
