4 months into this hole 'being a responsible adult thing' and I've come to a conclusion: It sucks and I want to go back to the days where I didn't have to plan out my game time.

@ZarkunBe confused as fuck while he staggers from the wreckage along with two or three survivors who Nidhogg ended up protecting somewhat because they had a kid with them. Jackson will be kind of out of it, filled with little more than vague images of everything(and none of Nidhogg powers/weaknesses either, aside from being really strong and being able to take a really sound beating.) James and Co. Would probably take him in and he would only be able to tell them his name, as that's all he'd be able to remember at first
@Crimson RavenEasily(oh, and to address your earlier question, yeah, that makes sense. Aether her is basically the same as holy or light magic in some magic system), he just has to take it easy for a bit and eat a person or two. Only problem is Phelegthon, since Joshua has made such a nig deal about the guy hunting Nidhogg down and annihilating him, it would be a bit out of character to have the guy be all "Oh, there he goes. Darn, I'll get him next time." Something I was planning, however, was that Nidhogg shifts his body to change the appearance, steals some clothes from on off the dead bodies in the building that just got brought down(because this is a populated city and in a situation like this, most people would hunker down in nearby buildings and hope shit blows over) before completely suppressing his power, making it seem like he died/escaped. This would also have the side effect of suddenly thrusting Jackson into the world for an indeterminate amount of time, so that would've been fun.

Does this seem like a plausible, if risky, escape plan?
@ZarkunI meant moving things along as a GM, if I can't get up a post in time or something. Also, how does Janes feel about Ferrin blowing the shit out of a building in the middle of a populated city? Can't imagine that helps people get over the lingering stigmata of magic.
@ZarkunOkay, I'm going to have to try and get a post in during my trip, because it's pretty much certain that with all the travel prep, I can't find time to think up a post. If you don't want to wait for me, then ending this fight would be fine, though I'd rather prefer it be an escape rather than the death of my character.
@Joshua TamashiiWell, I guess this is just Creative disagreement, cause I don't see it that way. His power isn't bound to his body, but his essence. So I don't see the logic in that. And since you don't seem to agree with that interpretation, I say we just agree to disagree. Even if his current vessel is killed, he won't just spring back. It'll take more time for his power to grow I side the new vessel since they can't consume the flesh of the corpse, thus making the adjustment period for the mortal body to be much longer.
But Nidhogg isn't strictly a deity, and is noted for being one if the few to not die during Ragnarok. I take to likening Nidhogg as a representation of Entropy, a fundamental force of chaos and destruction that can't be fully stopped or killed, only slowed. I mean, he's known as the Gnawer of Yggdrasil, which is basically the symbol for the order of the universe, so I think my interpretation is valid for the most part.
Nidhogg isn't a deity, so much as a being on a level that is equal to or greater then that of other deities. It my be better to say that he's a force of nature, as his myths harkened him as the bringer of Ragnorok, a harbinger of the apocalypse. His domains would be akin to Chaos, Damnation, The destruction of Yggdrasil(Aka: Universal Entropy), death, and curses. Nidhogg is as worshipped as Hell, Tartarus, and any other place/being of damnation since he was the being who tormented and devoured the souls of sinners in Norse Mythology. As for why he was sealed in the body if a dead dragon, that was simply his true form weakened to an extreme point where one would assume it dead. What truly sealed him there were the roots that bound the corpse, but by the time Jackson had gotten there, the bindings had grown weak(a mix of Nidhogg's tampering and old age). As for earning the ire of other deities, Nidhogg does as he eases and despises all other beings of divinity be aide it was then who kept him locked up in the first place. That being said, he doesn't seek out conflict with them, and simply does as he always has done:prey on sinners. He's just broadened his term of sinner to include every sin one has committed. That being said, this drive is another reason children aren't targeted, as they are normally free of sin, though not harming then at all is purely Jackson's doing. Nidhogg has, from a divine perspective, done nothing wrong, it's just that the beast has been let out of it's cage to prowl the world at large instead of being trapped in the roots of a tree.
@Joshua Tamashii@Joshua TamashiiNidhogg isn't a mortal soul, but an Immortal spirit. He could do the same as Phelegthon and take a true form, but it would take too long while he could spend his time enjoying his freedom, which is much more important to him.
@Joshua TamashiiWell, considering my impending trip, the reaper will have to wait another day before he makes an attempt, because I'm going to probably end this once everyone else cycles through so that I don't have to worry about this at least before I go on my trip. Also, while Phelegthom is probably stronger then this host of Nidhogg at the moment, this is a host that has only really tapped into a fraction of the spirit's power and only a certain aspect of that spirit(that being said, Nidhogg's fill power couldn't really be held by a mortal vessel, nor even a quarter of it. tge body would collapse on itself and die in a horrendously painful way)The actual spirit himself, on the other hand, could very well distort the fabric of reality itself to suit his whims. Like I said before,Nidhogg can't really be killed, he'll just jump from victim to victim for as long as he still finds it amusing to do so.
@Lunarlors34Main reason Nidhogg keeps dogging him, cause you allways go after the support first.
