Camilla is a tall, energetic, and cheery girl, standing at around 5'8 or 9, with dark tan skin, a surprisingly fit and toned physique(gained from many years of having a mother obsessed with healthy eating and a father that is equally obsessed with physical fitness), bright blue eyes, and more purplish-pink hair than she knows what to do with. She also has long, elf-like ears which she is able to wiggle or move at will, and often does so in accordance with her mood. She can be a bit self-conscious about this particular trait, as she finds it beyond embarrassing, and it can also allow those who know her to easily tell what she's feeling or if she's trying to lie(though she's a bad liar anyway without the obvious tell). While her eyes are natural, one of the many traits she shares with her mother, her hair has been dyed just about every color under the sun, and will likely be dyed many more times in the future. A fan of self-expression with her body as a canvas, one will often find a create deal of her body covered in intricate Henna-styled designs, taking advantage of her 'second-skin' to easily cover herself in a number of designs, then get rid of them for the next day. When she goes all out, it often takes her literal hours to get ready because of this.

Speaking of getting ready, if allowed to her own devices, Camilla will often try to dress lightly, using light, sometimes semi-transparent fabrics in order to better show off her designs, as well as simple jewelry. When it comes to winter wear, she often prefers light colored peacoat jackets, patterned shawls, and cardigans along with boot-cut jeans. She normally brings quite the wardrobe with her where ever she goes, but knowing the type of atmosphere of Ishin, she's only brought her most conservative clothing options. It's a bit of a drag, but she really wants to get into the school her father learned to become a hero in, and just the fact that she's from the states already puts a major uphill battle for her to gain any sort of recognition or acceptance in the school.

It has been her dream for as long as she can remember, even though many in her family didn't feel the same. her mother, while seemingly supportive, often mentioned all the dangers the profession holds, having treated more professional heroes and idealistic vigilantes than she can count at her local hospital, in subtle attempts to dissuade her from it. Her 3 older siblings all respected the profession well enough, but for much of her life, none of them really took her words seriously, and sometimes even mocked her for it as she tried to beat them up with a sparkly pink hand, her quirk barely manifested and as such, nothing special. The other students in her class laughed and made fun, telling her that she was delusional, that she needed to realize that it wasn't going to happen. But through all the teasing and name-calling, one person never doubted her, never mocked, her, and never, ever asked her to give up on her dream.

Takeo Yumi, her father, never once told his daughter that she couldn't have what she wanted. instead, he forced her to prove how badly she wanted it. Throughout her childhood, he put her through as intense a training session as he could with her age, pushing her harder and harder, telling her that nothing would get easier, that no one would help her when it was time to help villains. She was the help for the helpless, the savior for the meek, and in order to be that symbol, in order to be a hero, she needed to prove to him that she had the resolve to make her own way in the world. Especially if she wanted to go to the school he had gone as a child.

The training was grueling for her, even if her father allowed her enough time between sessions to let her still have some semblance of a social life, not wanting his daughter to become a complete workaholic like he had been at her age. But she made it through, never once settling, never once letting herself thing "this is enough." She worked to build herself up to his standards, working hard to excel in both school and training, even if it came at the sacrifice of making any truly close friends due to just how busy her schedule could be and how one-track her focus was. Eventually, the day came where she was to take the test to join Ishin, her father pulling some strings and calling in some favors from his time back in Japan's hero industry in order to get her even the slightest chance. She was respectful and courteous, taking every slight hint of disapproval or prejudice against her with complete composure, though if she was honest with herself, her heart had felt like it would explode in that harrowing environment.

What followed was several weeks of mind-bending anxiety, nervousness, and stress eating . . . and a single moment of pride, relief and intense anxious energy as she opened up a letter from Ishin(written in Kanji of course) telling her that she had been accepted. As happy she was, and as hard as her family celebrated the occasion, she didn't let it get to her head. She had yet to truly make it as a hero.

She had only gotten her foot in the door, but the path before filled her with equal parts excitement as they did nervous, stomach dread. Whatever the case was, she would face it head on, as best she could.

_{Character Development & Conceptualization}

The first, and probably most obvious, intent for my character is exploring having a non-native character trying to make her way in such a system that is so intent on either seeing her fail or not even letting her participate in the first place. I like the idea of it being her against the system, and want to play off the differences in cultural norms a bit as well. Playing the stranger in a strange land trope is something I haven't ever gotten the chance to do before, and one of the main reasons I decided to make things harder on my character by making her have such a target on her back, at least when it comes to dealing with the system.

I'm trying to develop her as a bit of a counter-point to what you'd expect of a character like her. On the surface, she seems very cute, bubbly, and focused on aesthetics, yet there's a practical side to her as well, a willingness to get her hands dirty with hard work and dedication in order to get what she wants. She feels the style is just as important a feature for being a hero as the deeds that the hero does, because as a hero, one is held up to certain expectations. If you only focus on the actions you take and not on how people take them, then you could unknowingly be setting a bad example for who knows how many people that follow in your footsteps. A big part of BNHA themes has to do with how each of the character's view heroism, and for Camilla, her main reason for wanting to be a hero seems simple("I want to look cool just like my dad!"), but the meaning behind those words are a lot deeper. She wants to be cool like her dad because her dad's coolness inspired her to be a hero, and she wants to inspire others in the same way.

Her quirk, odd as it is, helps in that through it she embraces both her sense of practicality and her sense of style without having to really give up anything between the two. The versatility of the micro-organisms that make up her second skin allows her to form strong, durable materials that can withstand a lot of punishment, while also keeping the flowing henna-inspired designs she works into them with just a thought. Ability-wise, I hope for her to eventually learn to spread the armor over her whole body, and possibly even learn to shape it into different forms, like blades, claws, or tendrils. I think there's a lot of ways I can take this symbiote-like idea for if I push myself creatively, and what is a BNHA rp if not a place to try something different and interesting.

Camilla's quirk is definitely one of the more odd ones out there. Instead of the normal mess of different germs, organisms, and bacteria that cover every living being, Camilla is covered and protected by a strange strand of micro-organism unique to her and her alone. Mixing her mom's quirk, which also has to do with the control of micro-organisms, and her father's quirk, which is a defensive enhancement quirk, she can form a type of armor around herself that increases both her strength(enough to put a crack in concrete) and durability(could take a bullet mid-caliber bullet)..

As of the now, she can only form this armor on two of her limbs or her entire torso, the armor taking on a flowing organic look, usually matching the color of her hair and whatever Henna design she decided to apply on that given day. As such, while her entire body gets a slight reinforcement, which is needed to handle the strain, the majority of the strength is located where the armor is covering, and in the case of her torso being covered, she can't really exert the increased strength since it's focused entirely on her abdominal muscles. Another drawback and weakness to her quirk are that the micro-organisms that make up her armor react very badly to anti-bacterial agents, causing it to weaken and sometimes fall apart instantly if the chemical is strong enough. Not only that but because her quirk also serves as such a strong defense against many forms of bacteria, when it's down, she tends to get sick pretty easily, as her own immune system is rather under-developed. It's rare for her to stay sick for that long, as the organisms grow back within a day or so and are constantly beating down encroaching bacteria and virus, it still sucks pretty hard. She's had to get a ton of vaccines throughout her life as a result of this, and along with other check-ups to see if there's a way to work around the problem so she doesn't end up catching anything serious or life-threatening. Her current goal for Quirk growth is both spreading the coverage and increasing the durability of her quirk.

Another attribute of her quirk, however, is that she can cause them to change shape and color in more subtle ways, and thus, often uses them as the basis of her Henna work instead of the actual pain, as it can't be as easily ruined, and even if it is, it takes literal seconds to fix it. She's also started trying to use her quirk to give herself more tattoo-like designs, but she's put the cork in that(mostly) upon coming to Ishin.

Thanks to her older brother, Camilla is a cut above most other students she knows in that she's been trained in how to fight, using both the regular self-defense maneuvers, mixed in with her brother's MMA/Boxing style that focuses on landing heavy punches to vital areas to bring an opponent down quick, while using the legs once in a while for trips or kneeing people in the face when given the opportunity. She's also a rather skilled and flexible athlete, having been in both cheerleading and gymnastics("If anyone else tries to tell me cheerleading is not a sport, I swear to god they're going to be in for it.") and doing great in them, but never pursuing them that much due to her main desire to be a Hero. She considers herself a decent artist, focusing on intricate patterns in both henna, regular drawing, and has even taken a crack at knitting and embroidery once or twice, with . . . meh results. She's yet to truly do anything she considers her own yet, most of her work being semi-successfully attempts to copy that of others from tutorials online, but she's gotten pretty confident as of late and might get to making her own stuff soon.

Lazulin is a tall, lean individual, easily distinguished from a crowd by his long strands of silvery-white hair and his deep azure eyes. It used to be easy to classify him as a "pretty boy" as the soft angularity of his features leads to him being a rather attractive looking, if effeminate, individual. However, this handsome face is now marred by a large patch of burn scars that spread haphazardly over his face. These burn scars spread across his entire body as well, serving as a reminder of what the Ecclesiae has done to him.

In regards to his attire, he often walks around in a dark cloak covering the majority of his form, beneath it being a somewhat stylish but mostly functional outfit. He often keeps his right arm underneath his cloak whenever possible, so as not to draw attention to it the strange black gauntlet that adorns it. In the side of his coat, there is a holster for Twilight, a magitech revolver that shoots out condensed bolts of Malum-infused energy from the Lacrima stored within the core of the weapon, which needs to be taken out to be recharged with Malum every so often. He also carries a large array of mundane knives of various sizes on his person, for when encounters tend to get more up close and personal than he generally prefers.

Laz is generally a fun-loving soul who enjoys playing a good prank or three on those around him, using his wit and charm to lower people's guard before striking with certain humiliation. While most of his jokes can be considered in the name of fun, he does have a tendency to go a tinge too far at times, especially if the target in question has done something to irritate or anger him recently. Laz's temperament can best be described as that of a low burning flame, in that he isn't the type to go over the top with his anger, but instead holds a grudge against the offender in question until he feels like they either have proven themselves worthy to be forgiven, or he has been able to enact an appropriate punishment upon them.

When it comes to the current government, however, you'll find few others who hold such a deep-seated and burning hatred for them as he does, So great is this anger, as well as his desire for vengeance, that he treats everyone involved with the system to be corrupt until proven otherwise, and often has little hesitation in dealing out his own brand of justice on them for their supposed crimes, be they present or future ones.

Laz used to believe that he was a normal kid. That he had grown up under the tutelage and care of his mother, Nirvelli Mulciber because she had been given a second chance after a dangerous affair led to his father being banished. He used to believe in a lot of things.

But then, a demon wiped all of the deceptions in his life away, grinning as it stood over him in all of its horrid glory, the black and red flames that danced around the creature a testament to its destructive power. The demon enlightened him to the nature of the Ecclesiae's deception, of his betrayal at the hands of the woman he thought was his mother, the indignities and horrible experiments he'd been put through, and how he'd been fit for only death

Well of Souls: A magic born from intensive studies into the nature of the human soul and general necromantic knowledge on the interactions between it and the ether that courses through the world. Through the application of spiritual runes, ritualistic gestures, and whispered words of power to shape, control, and direct the flow of malum energy to the soul of the target to achieve the desired effect.

In the most basic of terms, this magic allows the user to exert some form of influence over the souls of those affected by it. The applications of this can be rather broad, as it can either be an effect target towards their mental state(causing them to see terrible hallucinations or making them feel inclined to do whatever Lazulin asks them to do) towards aspects of their physicality(causing imbalances within them that causes sudden illnesses or dysfunctions via the injection of more necrotic energies into their body through the connection to their soul). But beyond that, this magic can be used to not only dominate the wills of others, essentially turning them into slaves entirely willing to die for him(provided that their wills are weak enough for total domination) but it also allows him to bind souls together. This process is one that allows the recipients to share everything, be it pain, pleasure, emotions, thoughts. Not only that, but such a connection, while instigated by magic, cannot be completely severed by anti-magic measures, only subdued and smothered, but still very much present.

This magic doesn't just affect the souls of the living, however, but also the remnants of those both recently and long dead. Through the use of the necromantic elements of his magic, he can harvest the energies of the dead(and the living, though it requires direct contact) which can then be used to fuel other spells that Laz might wish to cast or, with slight tweaking, also be used to provide some measure of healing, though it's much more of an emergency measure than anything else. Malum is an element unsuited to the task of healing and as such, the healing provided by this magic is rather limited. A more recent use for this interaction with the Etherial remnants of living beings, however, is to perform readings on objects and places, allowing him to gain some form of information from, be they detailed retellings or just vague emotions and flashes of disjointed memory, depending both on how long the person had been dead for, and/or how much of their ether is still died to the area in question.

Hellfire: A form of Malum magic he created through his experience with demonic energies, he can create a cold burning flame of black and blue that feasts on Ether for fuel. This makes this magic fantastic for breaking down magical defenses and wearing down opponents, as well as being a fairly useful counter-offensive to block or weaken enemy spells. It also serves as Laz's main form of direct offense, blasting bolts of the dark flame at his foes if they get too close to him, or using it to enhance the striking power of his weaponry.

Given that it burns Ether for fuel rather than wood, yet still carries with it the burning power of flame, this also makes it an effect method of area denial, as it will form a wall of fire that will slowly expand over time, devouring all the magical energy it can until it becomes too large to sustain itself or is dispersed by a strong enough surge of Sanctum magic. The flames also tend to move a bit differently than normal flames due to their differing fuel source, often spreading in the direction of the closest sources of Ether in order to fuel themselves. Not only that, but the flames don't spread nearly as fast as actual flame if not being actively manipulated by Laz to do so. While Sanctus is the most effective method to put the flames out, any form of purification magic will do, though those of other elements, particularly Malum and Ignis, will have to expend more magical energy to accomplish the feat.

Not only that, but the flames themselves will eventually burn themselves out, as they will eventually reach such a level of glut that the Malum energy binding it together simply breaks apart under the strain. This causes the flames to simply disperse into thick black smoke. The amount of ether that a flame can generally absorb depends on the size of the initial flame created, so the larger the flame that Lazulin makes, the more magic it can devour before it burns itself out.

The sound of footsteps behind him cut of his train of thought, a set pace of hurried steps, marching to a hidden beat. Trained soliders. Guards. Inquisitors If Etoile's uniform had ignite a slight warmth in his belly, the sight that befouled his eyes now brought forth a raging inferno into his limbs. His entire body seemed to shake for a moment as his hands clenched into tight fists, his eyes turning towards the ground. Slowly, he counted down from 10, keeping his breathing nice and ste-

BLAM!

The roar of gunfire shook him from his attempted mediation, and the voice that followed it made made attempting to slip back into it impossible. He sounded every bit like the kind of snobby, pretentious Inquisitors that Lazulin had grown to hate. With great difficulty, Lazulin stowed all of the hatred on his face away into a small place in his subconscious mind, putting up his usual facade as he walked up to the Inquisitor as the apparent leader asked for volunteers.

"Wild and Crazy, you say? Well, I think you've got one man willing to take that title." The smile on his scarred-face may have come easily, but it didn't make the sting of kow-towing to these glorified thugs burn any less as the words left his throat. "I'd rather try my hand at shutting this thing down then end up as bird feed when you all run out of bullets." He walked past the group of guards and inquisitors towards the edge of the barge, a hand keeping his cloak wound close to his body despite the best efforts of the winds grasping fingers.

"So, Mr. Boss Inquisitor, what direction do you think the damn thing is? Ain't going to do nobody no good if I get stuck walking in the wrong direction." Lazulin spoke without turning back to face the man, letting his face rest a bit from the fake smile, but still keeping up the cheery tone none the less.

That question has to be a trap to see if any of us know anything about magic. Anyone with even passing training in magic would likely be bale to feel their way to the focus by seeing how the magic in their body reacts to the environment, only to come back to face either chains or a firing squad. Depends on the Inquisitor in charge, and despite the cheery smile and demeanor, I doubt that this man is the merciful type.

On the surface, Yuuto is as straight-laced, by-the-book, and diligent as one would expect an Honors student attending college purely on the merit of their many scholarships to be. He doesn't like making trouble, doesn't attend wild parties, and often barely has time in his day to hang out with the few friends he has, though he always tries to make time so as no to go insane from the constant stress.

Along with his diligence to studying, Yuuto is a staunch pacifist in all most every circumstance. He believes that violence is never a good way to solve one's problems, and while he's not one to preach at others about his belief, he will always let them know it in no uncertain terms if the subject is ever raised. If he can't find a way to end a conflict diplomatically, he finds little harm in running from it, as he often finds the potential for ridicule is a much better alternative than the violence itself. That being said, it would be wrong to think him weak or cowardly, and even he knows that sometimes, you can't just run away from conflict. Especially as a ghoul.

Background

Yuuto's history isn't much to tell. He grew up about as normally as any ghoul could, with the only oddities being that his mother seemed to disappear often, his father always looked worried or panicked when watching the news, and his family was constantly moving between wards for much of his early years. It wasn't until he was around 10 that he figured out why.

His mother had been an infamous ghoul, widely regarded as a threat due to her gluttonous feeding habits and tendency to prey on investigators more so than most ghouls. Known as "Seiun Usagi", she was a pretty big target for the CCG for quite some time. And eventually, they got her. In the final moments before her death, she used her Kagune to mangle her own facial features, her final way of protecting her family from the CCG. It was a sad day in the Kashiyama household, and a traumatizing moment for Yuuto that shaped his entire view of life from then on.

Learning about his mother's deeds filled him with a silent scorn and self-hatred for his existence as a ghoul and ghoul society as a whole, a society that he was heavily wrapped up in due to his father being a Mask designer, a craft that Yuuto has a natural gift for and struggles to separate himself from it. Even now, he'll create masks for himself as a way to express his emotions, before letting his self-disgust and anger take hold of him and destroying the works with knives and flames.

Ever since the day where his mother's death was reported on the news, Yuuto has sworn to himself to not only find a way to get out of this hellish cycle that is ghoul society unscathed, but to also try his best to break down this society, to make it something better. That way, no more kids will have to go through what he went through.

Ukaku/Bikaku Hybrid

Kagune

A rare chimera ghoul, Yuuto carries both his mother's Ukkaku Kagune and his father's bikaku kagune. For his ukkaku, it often takes the form of a nebulous gas-like substance that spreads out behind him like a pair of wings, the whole of it dotted with a number of bright, star-like objects that helped to give his mother her name. Another aspect of these Kagune is that they can super-heat the RC cells created, allowing them to fire crystallized RC shards at extremely high temperatures, adding an extra layer of danger to his attacks, as well as effectively hampering the regenerative process of other ghouls due to the cauterization of the wounds.

As for his Bikaku, it's a more simplistic kagune, composed of two gleaming red tails, with the end of them carving into some rather cruel looking hooks. It bears an appearance similar to that of a scorpion tail, but neither he nor his father have proven capable of making any form of poison or venom from their Kagune. They, like all Bikaku, are relatively durable when compared to their counter-parts, and capable of doing some damage, but it's clear that if he were more of a fighter, his Ukkaku would be the more offensive tool in his arsenal, while his Bikaku would be used to defend against and deflect incoming attacks.

Notable Characteristics

Yuuto has trained his control over his kagune to be very precise, enabling him to unleash one set of kagune independently of the other easily. A needed skill in order to avoid drawing attention, as his mother's kagune is extremely recognizable and any connection to Seiun would have the CCG on him like a hawk. That being said, this does not make him a capable fighter in the least, as he has taken a stance against learning anything besides some basic self-defense techniques in regard to combat prowess. When it comes to fights, he always views active retaliation as a last resort, much preferring simply talking the situation down or getting the heck outta dodge when he can.

Yuuto has been able to stay off CCG radar due to him never going out to hunt for his food, instead eating only when he has to at specific places that cater to less predatory ghouls.
