The assassin's evasion attempts were surprisingly acrobatic and competent, given the limited space to work in and the large amounts of opposition she was facing. Therefore, it was simply unfortunate that her choices for avoiding the paladin's lunge amounted to 'moving backwards' before giving up.

There wasn't much way out of being grabbed from an onrushing force when your head was firmly buried in your hands. Fortunately for the assassin, Tyaethe's anger was still far below the level of brutalising prisoners. She swept the small attempted murderer up in her lunge and then pivoted, even though there was no way to stop her charge by that point. It was better to take the impact with the court mage's barrier than harm a surrendering foe.

@harinezumikoukenAsuna is one of the blandest characters I have ever read. ^^; Then again I only ever read the first two SAO novels before deciding that it had good concepts and ideas but the execution was... Flawed, basically. ^^;

Also I refer to Kirito as "The Bland Swordsman" so that his title doesn't get mixed up with the true Black Swordsman. :D

@Rin The actual chapters around the ending were actually good. It was just that he cut out the dramatic final battle part because of that stuff. It was still fun, though.

Well, it was more a giant sword for the later half of the manga. Before stuff went very strange (though it did include some awesome... aaaaaand then sort of became a "what" thing. Eva was good, though)

I need to catch up on UQ Holder, I think.

The only people I have specific stats in regards to that aren't good examples of your standard magi.

The specific stat I know of that demonstrates this is how much magic you need to constantly output (or is it just enough to kickstart it?) to replicate life: 5,000.

Damn it, the girl had avoided the attack and now there were too many knights around to attack effectively without risking friendly fire on top of this already being a crowded party. But she was so close and distracted. The dwarf probably had the right idea for dealing with the assassin in this environment but since she was so short, it would be difficult for anyone to get a grip on her...

She was smaller even than Tyaethe herself but the difference was far slighter--child compared to a somewhat younger child. This meant she could get a grip without diving to the ground like the others were attempting. All told, Tyaethe probably had the best chance of getting a grip.

The paladin dropped her sword, trusting that nobody would be stupid enough to try and steal the blade from her in plain view of royalty, and copied Martina's tactics in trying to bearhug the assassin. Hopefully, Marianne wouldn't get her with that knife; the dress was an old present.
