Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Well in western culture the grim reaper "escorts the dead to the afterlife" but he doesn't take you by the hand to do it

he's just like "yo dead fam" and then you go to the afterlife, but he's generally seen as an escort

I think you're trying to apply eastern ideas/concepts to western myth, which won't work that well

The OED would like to have a word with you. Also, please stop posting in the OOC if you're not going to join. :/

While I agree that invisible trains might be a bit much, I must disagree with you about Dullahans not being psychopomps. While being a headless horseman is the general appearance of a dullahan, they do have roots in mythology where seeing or interacting with a dullahan is a sign of death, effectively making them sorta like Shinigamis in the sense that you don't see them until you're dead/about to die.

They're explicitly not psychopomps in that they don't actually escort the dead anywhere. Much like Banshees, they exist to let you know you're gonna die. And also, in their case, blind or kill anyone that happens to see them and shouldn't.
No unstoppable invisible trains. Was I not clear enough on that part? Especially not trains that would therefore be invisible to almost every playable character the series has had, discounting the pair-ups and Mystic Square.

And it still doesn't fit to have a Dullahan doing Komachi's job because: A) Eiki doesn't let her slack for that long, and B) dullahan are not psychopomps.
Doing it tomorrow.
Er, use actual names, because for a second I had no idea.

1) Maybe? She falls into the "not actually part of Gensokyo and has never been seen IN Gensokyo" camp.
2) No. If anything, Eiki would probably be her boss. Nor are the onis actually... in hell. Neither is the Palace of Earth Spirits, so... random offhand comments are unimportant. <_<
3) Yup. Except where you can have them stuck in the recent past.
4) Please stop asking so many questions.
  • Games, yes; manga etc... well, so far as I know them (haven't read Forbidden Scrollery); Akyuu: please bring a salt mine.
  • Yes.
  • They'd need a very good reason to be here. And no replicating SSiB's ridiculousness. Also a reason to be here that doesn't get everyone trying to get them to go away.
  • Obviously not common. Obviously possible because Youki was a thing, but definitely not common.
  • Given that the Alice bio involves Makai and being a maid, take a guess.
ok holy fuck

has there ever been a 2hu rp in the history of the Guild til now?

also why didn't i notice this

I've done one before.
Ryuuko, Newcomer Dragon

A small person had come in! Why there were small people wandering around a police office, she had no clue, but maybe that was just a normal thing here. The description of police work made it sound like a job for Big People and not grumpy lambs... but this seemingly-lost boy obviously proved the contrary. He had also, rather unfortunately, made an inaccurate assumption.

"I didn't fall! I was there first and the planet ran into me." Ryuuko said, correcting any strange ideas he might have about a dragon falling down. Falling was for people whose reference point actually had the planet in a downwards direction; she had been hit from slightly above and to the left.

At least she was agreeing about the dragon part.

@ghastlyInc
  • Name: Ryuuko
  • Age: Depending on how you look at it, she's either inhumanly old, or she's been around for about an afternoon. It's hard to pin down an exact number for how long she's been alive, as space itself doesn't have much in the way of handy reference points.
  • Gender: Female
  • Race: Dragon. One of reality's handy protectors, whose fundamental basis is incomprehensible to everyone from Earth. She doesn't hold it against them, it's not their fault that they're made of so boring matter rather than the true stuff of stars.
  • Appearance: Claws, talons, a pretty dress, and a nice ribbon.
  • Personality: Ryuuko is pleasant enough to be around but lacks social awareness due to... well, never having actually socialised before. Coupled with rather a large amount of inquisitiveness at being somewhere other than space (and it has people with similar anatomy, too!) and a lot of problems lie ahead without some sort of escort. The police have managed to impress one thing upon her, though: violence is the wrong thing to do. Even if you're a dragon capable of eradicating eldritch monstrosities.
She's also scared of dogs and astronauts.
  • Abilities: As a dragon, she has the standard dragon stuff: incredibly destructive breath damage, a certain disregard for the normal restrictions of gravity, enough physical might to actually stand a chance against anything that might want to wrestle the universe into explosion, and a level of resilience that would cost Miura a lot of buildings if a serious attempt to kill her was made. She also learns languages extremely quickly.
  • Skills: Nope.
  • Equipment: None.
  • Brief Backstory: Some time in the distant, forgotten past--or at least distant as experienced by a dragon floating in the void--Ryuuko came into being. She drifted around without a pretty clear destination--space is big, after all--and often tuned out of her surroundings or slept. Maybe in the floating she actually served her purpose and crushed something that threatened reality itself; Ryuuko has no real idea what was going on whilst she was amongst the stars.
Then she fell to Earth with a rather frightful bang. At least, it was for the imaginary district's police and, after dusting her off, pulling her out of the kennels, and getting some clothes, they decided to ask around for people willing to show a dragon the modern world. Unfortunately, the Miura Youth Organisation is a bit busy, today...
Where's @Rin to add
