Remembering nothing requires failure on every possible interpretation of how Servant summoning works. The absolute minimum scenario is remembering as if they've read it from a book.

Wasn't she? I thought she was trained by Kerry to have a grasp on what she needs to know. Saber has high resistance, and Iri is an Einzbern homunculus.


She never did anything with it, how am I meant to remember that?

But if Maiya is totally fine with Diarmuid despite being remarkably not impressive, I don't think the spot's such an issue.

Or we could have Medea stab him in the face. That might work.

Diarmuid doesn't have a good record of actually influencing people, even in /Zero. He managed to get the one person that was engaged to someone they weren't into.

And meanwhile failed on Saber, Irisviel, and Kiritsugu's flunkie. One of them isn't even a mage.

But you can't blame them for Zouken, Kirei, and Archer (without making it convoluted). And that's most of the plot.

The degree to which it can be called cheating when you make the rules is an interesting one.

Though, really, the PROBLEMS in the Fifth War aren't really their fault.
