Bio

I'm Randomness. I also go by others names when it's unavailable, but those are usually some variation of Randomness or Random in general.

I like anime, video games, and science. I'm currently in school studying to become an radiologic technologist. I'm in the initial stages, so I'm on my way. My favorite anime is Eureka Seven, and my favorite video game is a tie between Kingdom Hearts and Etrian Odyssey.

I have several story ideas, but currently lack motivation to write them out. I have plenty of notes for some of them so when I finally get around I'm prepared. That said, I absolutely enjoy group story telling like you do through role playing. One of my interests involved is world building and the connections between them if any.

One of my characters travels between worlds, dimensions and universes. What these are meant to be are different RPs. There seems to be some taboo around such a character, but I feel that is should be judged on a case by case basis. The idea of a seasoned character who has been on many adventures being able to share stories in passing sounds like a fun idea. I thought it would be an interesting idea that those stories could be from other RPs. He isn't meant to highjack the current RP, or be over powered. I admit, I can see that concern. Really though, he is meant to be an eccentric character with stories and treasures not before seen. The effects of these stories are meant to be entertaining, like fairy tales to the current cast. And what treasures he has or can use I'd restrict to what makes sense in the current world. But like I said before, it should be case by case. A learner, and a story teller. I think it's fun to link concept together through this character so the story could live on in new ways and perhaps give new RPs a different kind of character. Without upending everything of course.

Yeahhhh... about that. Just go ahead without me.

Imma withdraw from the RP b/c bad sign: I'm just staring at the page and coming up with nothing and its my opening post. I keep reading over everyone posts and I realize I'm in over my head with the science-y stuff.

Sorry to hold you guys up but alright. Good luck to you all! Later!

That’s mainly coming from the science characters IMO. When we get into the actual operation, I think you’d be able to take charge.

Mason woken earlier that morning. Life on a space cruiser has far different than what was experienced during the summations. He wasn’t uncomfortable, but the near weightlessness and the feeling of the artificial gravity upon his bones was anything like on Earth. Even now, while he slowly got accustomed to the feeling, he would wake occasionally to a sensation of falling.

Sighing, he got up from his bed and sat down on her personal terminal. His computer was linked directly to the med-bay and other various records from the crew. He spent a good portion of his time familiarizing himself with the crew’s medical history. Since he was up now, he might as well continue to look over them for a bit before breakfast. He started reading the charts involving the nonnatives. It might have been a bad idea since that would have slowed his progress since he’d essentially have to learn the anatomy of another species all together in order to understand what he was reading. That didn’t bug him though, he found it fascinating. Besides, a lot of their physiology matched similarly enough to other species on Earth that he could fill in the blanks.

He reviewed all the medical records before they took off just to get an idea for any preexisting ideas and allergies. He had to make sure that their inventory was properly supplied for the endeavor. There were some things that jumped at him, but nothing he didn’t think he couldn’t handle. While he hadn’t met any of them much before the launch of the Prize, the team seemed well equipped to deal with the new discoveries they hoped to make past the wormhole.

His train of thought was interrupted when his communicator beeped. Only a few hours passed and already, the captain was calling them into the situation room. Mason guessed that something must have happened. They were fast approaching the wormhole, so perhaps they were going to prepare for the passage. He hung out, leaning against the wall near the door, looking down at his tablet. He thought that this would just be a prep talk for what was to come. However, when Captain Carabello started talking about a rescue mission, he put the tablet down and paid more attention.

Mason listened as the technical personnel spoke about the Captain’s plan, adding information, and providing suggestions. Mason didn’t have enough technical, nor tactical experience to comment. The plan seemed risky either way. Freight ships usually didn’t have enough fire power for an all-out attack, let alone to help cover the Prize. Captain seemed confident that it would be enough, and Mason shrugged slightly. Perhaps his combat team there could make the best use of what they’d have available.

Once the back and forth was done, Mason took a quick step forward, “While something like this isn’t really my expertise, I can use the emergency medical kit aboard the shuttle and provide medical support in case any of the hostages were injured. There’s a good chance someone got hurt. I highly doubt the pirates took their wellbeing in mind outside of keeping them alive for their trade.”
They can be in whatever condition you want them to be to fit your narrative. Mason may be a little too giddy and sadistic when it comes to Injury, but it’s not required to do his job. He’s a professional.
Mason wouldn’t fit either, but Probably alpha to help treat the hostages.
Mason joined for the mission. So whenever that is is when he boards.

Dolly, wasn’t much crying as she was just trembling from the scene she had just seen. She wasn’t sure who, what or why everyone in that room were dead, but she knew enough that you should not be able to see their insides. She was overwhelmed at the sight that she had lost her ability to take it in and cope, crying as a way to express her fear for the gruesome sight.

She tensed when she felt the hand on her back, but relaxed when comforting words followed it. She looked up to see one of the shadow creature’s companions. While Dolly was not entirely sure of that group’s intentions, this act of kindness had helped comfort her. Blades hand upon her head also helped. Her eyes still watered as he kneeled down to her level. Seeing how Blade was still calm but comforting made her feel much safer. Since they had met, she was probably more of a burden than an ally, but she loved how he continued to show care for her. She stood there, still sniffling trying to stop crying as he embraced her, wiping her eyes when he let go and stood back up.

She still sniffled a little, but now she had stopped crying tears, trying to put on a brave face. He didn’t say it, but somehow Dolly knew that even though the scene in the cafeteria was frightening, they needed to move forward. And moving forward started with a full stomach. She agreed to wait outside while Blade returned to the cafeteria. She was sure she could muster up enough courage to follow him inside now knowing what to expect. It was a relief that she wouldn’t have to.

Blade walked in the cafeteria, and Dolly’s sight followed him in, turning away before she risked seeing too much of the scene. She looked around. Of their little group, she found herself alone. She was with strangers now, but much like that girl said of the shadow creature before them, they didn’t seem like they would hurt her. Still she stood wary, keeping to herself, clutching the doll she had with her.

How many had entered the cafeteria? She knew Blade and the woman who threw him. The group with the red patches seemed to have vanished, so perhaps them as well. The woman who helped comfort Dolly had left, too. That left the shadow creature, and someone else behind him. It wasn’t an ideal situation, but it appeared that everyone was scared and confused, not just Dolly. Taking a quick breath, she took a step forward to the one hall with the most people remaining out. They had yellow patches on their clothes, in the same place Dolly’s group had purple. Nervously she waved her hand, saying hello.

...and not Lt. Ve'Tame? Something against the reptilian Tactial Officers? ;P

Don’t worry. Everyone will get their turn to be dissected, I I mean treated.
Mason will love her, no question. He’d love to study what makes her tick.

Not quite sure how far medical technology has come, but here is my character.
