Woodgrove Castle [REBOOT]

Upon reaching a bustling marketplace, an intricately-decorated merchant caravan slowed to a stop with a little jerk at the end, jolting Mina awake. The Drizarian spy had managed to sneak onto the carriage when it had stopped for a rest on the way to Woodgrove. The vehicle had been transporting silks into the kingdom, and Mina had found herself buried under the luxurious fabric, which she had thought convenient, as she had taken her ride into Woodgrove. She had not expected to fall asleep, but the cargo had proven to be more... comfortable, than she had thought. It was only fortunate that she had awoken on time to avoid getting caught.

She could hear the footsteps and chatter of passing crowds through the walls of the carriage, and quietly slipped out through the back doors before anyone got to them. There were too many people in the area for anyone to suspect that she did not belong within the walls of the kingdom. She began to look around, hoping for an opportunity to start her search for information. However, she knew that she would probably only make significant progress when night fell, for that would be when the ones who were more likely to take a bribe would be active.

Agent R and Dr. Scarlet exchanged glances after Cloud spoke. Despite the both of them not saying a word to each other, it was clear that they were thinking the same thing - what the spell-casting swordsman had just said did not sound any less threatening.

The scientist nodded. "Right, I'll see what I can do. Since we have Zack's emblem, I should be able to use it to..."

That was when she turned to Zack, only to see him suddenly vanish from the place. "and... this just got a whole lot harder. Ah well, I'll still work on it, but for now, you guys really have to go."

Something about Raven made Lena uneasy. The older girl seemed distant, and was rather difficult to read. Lena had a strong feeling that she was internally troubled, and immensely so. In spite of her kind words to everyone around her, Raven's demeanor, coupled with her unusual abilities made her come across as quite a frightening, yet intriguing individual to Lena. The Seijin was curious to find out more about her, but now was not the time, for they were needed elsewhere.

At Raven's words, Scarlet urged the rest of them out once again. "I'll be here with her as well, so get going!"

R nodded and turned to Raven. "Sure, don't strain yourself. We'll be right back."

Rex was again, hit with how familiar everything seemed to be. The sleek, angular vehicle they were currently on reminded him of the ones back at Providence. Then again, the teenage EVO would probably be into any machine he would come across. Even the whole situation of being part of a team preparing to battle monsters was something he went through on a pretty regular basis, so naturally, he was more than ready for what was coming. At least that was what he expected.

"According the the coordinates I've gotten, the ride shouldn't be too long," J informed the group as she and R loaded their handguns and slid them into their holsters. She then checked to see that they were approaching the business district. "And here we are."

Upon landing, the streets were just as Lena and Raven had left them - deserted and in disarray. The chaos and destruction that had taken place earlier was apparent, and Lena recognized the manhole that she had seen the aggressive shadow creatures emerge from. That was when sounds of crashing echoed from the sewers through the opening, alerting the group of the commotion taking place down there. Were those who had gone before them already engaged in battle? J and R nodded to each other before approaching the manhole to check for any immediate threats. Finding none, they then led the rest of the team down into the sewers to look for the source of the earlier attack.
