Unfortunately for the young huntress, her awareness of her surroundings and readiness wasn't enough to stop what was going to happen next. A thick rope net shot out of the lake as she approached it, wrapping around her body in a swift motion. When the net had been draped over her; something pulled hard, causing Aelia to be swept from her feet. The net was quickly dragged into the water by something.. Or as she would soon find out, someone.

The young man, whom seemed to be around her age, if not slightly older, realized what he had pulled into the water, a confused expression written on his face. A young woman? He quickly pushed the huntress to the surface of the water, allowing her to catch her breath at the surface, where he soon joined her, his face quite close to hers, his hands holding her above the surface of the lake.

"Uh.. My apologies, miss. I mistook you for something else." He said in a slightly playful tone, giving her a slight smirk. "Although, you might be a better catch than most." He added cheekily, winking at her, before untangling the net that was still constricting the young woman.

When they had made it back onto land at the edge of water, he noticed her bow and arrows. "Oh! You must be the new Silent Hunter candidate that moth--Talia sent." He said in mock surprise before deciding to introduce himself. "Name's Lazarus, nice to meet you." He stretched out his hand toward the huntress in greeting.

Yu Zuiren

Yu enjoyed Chen's reaction to her offer of a reward, however she hadn't really put much thought into what that reward might be. She may have to follow up on how suggestive it sounded. Maybe.

Bran's statement made a some sense. They could possibly overwhelm the creature with numbers and their combined strength, but Yu had no idea what it was, let alone what it looked like; she just knew the general direction of the fight due to the noise.. Noise? She could hear something a little odd in the distance.. it sounded like a guitar of some sort? Perhaps it was worth joining the fight after all.

Yu merely gave Chen a smirk when he referred to her as 'drunky', "It's Yu, not drunky." She responded simply as she watched the two shorter boys run ahead toward the fight. She stood in the clearing for a moment, taking another gulp from her gourd. She considered how she should go about joining them, but she decided to scrap whatever she was trying to think about. Best to just go with the flow.

As Yu exited the trees, her eyes were immediately drawn to the massive beast with a ton of faces. Hard to miss really. She had arrived just in time to see Bran and Chen attack the beast to little effect. There were a few other people nearby, whom she assumed to be other students, but now wasn't the time to think about them.. Or rather it was difficult to, since she had drunk a lot throughout the day.

She could feel her energy flowing as she took another swig of her drink. That music was really something. She broke into a somewhat clumsy sprint, running toward the Falthon, narrowly dodging acidic spit that flew about. As she drew closer, she pulled her fist back in preparation. When she came within range; she planted her foot into the ground, causing the ground around her foot to shudder and crack slightly. She swung with incredible force, her fist slamming into the creature's skull causing a loud impacting sound.

Perhaps I should finish Noise's Sunday job..
Alya stared at the small fluff ball which now sat in her hands. She hoped that Rilana was okay.. she didn't know what happened to her friend after she had gone into the burrow. Her worries faded away as she watched Rilana regain consciousness. The battle that raged below her went largely ignored as she had been worrying about her friend; but now that the half-elf knew that she was okay, the sound of clashing weapons rang in her sensitive ears. Alya wanted to talk to Rilana, but this was neither the time nor place to do that. As much as she wanted to learn more about the Moon Fey, that would have to wait until the journey was over and everything was resolved.

She was rather glad that she was a fair ways away from the conflict, as the sound would most likely give her a concussion without even being hit by a weapon. Her gaze swept across the mayhem, only to see Echo growling away at a skeleton. It made a clumsy swing at the Wolf pup, but Echo was able to leap out of the way of the weapon.

Alya needed to help somehow, but she didn't quite know what to do. In her mind, the Note of Ice seemed to resonate like an unforgettable tune. Something clicked. The half elf remembered that she had learnt a magic.. Named 'Elementalism'. How she knew this was a mystery to her, but she chose not to dwell on it too much. Putting her flute to her lips, she played the Note of Ice. She wanted to stop the skeleton from attacking Echo. But how? Memories of the frozen statues in the tower came to mind. The way the Charr's pet started freezing over was also a vivid picture. I hope this works.. She thought to herself as she concentrated on her note.

The bard felt the magic flow through her flute as it usually would, however it felt slightly different. It was hard to describe.. It felt less fluid than her usual Song magic, almost fragmented?

--
As Echo growled at the skeleton, he noticed that a sheet of ice was crawling up from it's feet. Of course the Skeleton didn't notice it at all, taking another swing at the animal. Echo leapt back to stay out of reach. The undead warrior tried to move, but the ice had already grown passed it's knee. It wasn't long before the skeleton was frozen solid, much like the statues in the tower.
--

As the ice grew on the skeleton, Alya could feel her magic draining away. She could feel it draining at a faster pace than it would when she played regular music. The half-elf could feel cold droplets of sweat form on her brow as she persevered in her casting. When the skeleton had been fully frozen, the flute dropped from her trembling fingers, hitting the ice floor with a loud 'CLANG!'. She fell to her knees and hands, her chest heaving from exhaustion; she could barely hold herself up. It probably wasn't the best idea, but hopefully Echo will be okay for awhile.

She knew that she wouldn't be able to help Rilana at all now. Not that she could do much in the first place. But she hoped that the Moon Fey, as well as everyone else, would make it out safely. I could use a nap.. was a thought that crossed her mind, but she made an effort to keep herself conscious.
Rahna Altema

As Rahna tried to calm Lee down, she heard Gaius call out to the two of them. At first glance, she thought Gaius was unhurt, but she noticed his slightly pained look and posture. He wasn't okay. But she couldn't help both of them at the same time, so she decided to concentrate on Lee.

She didn't want to be too rough with Lee. Grabbing her too firmly might hurt her more.. The fact that her mind was starting to blur wasn't helping at all. She could feel a pain, throbbing in her head; It was becoming hard to concentrate, but she needed to make sure Lee was okay before worrying about herself.

"L..Lee, I need.." Before she could even start her sentence, her chest forced out a cough in nausea. She felt like she was going to be sick. "I need you.. To calm down.." She said quickly, her heart rate soaring in panic.

It wasn't long before the headache started to overpower her thoughts. She held her head in pain; it felt like her head was being stabbed over and over. She could feel her vision fading in and out from the pain.. But then.. There was a small light. The pain slowly began to subside. Her vision cleared as the headache faded away. She noticed a small.. Ghost-like thing curl around her shoulders. It looked kind of.. furred? No, more like mossy..

Her gaze almost immediately moved to Lee, only to see a bright light and then a ghostly.. Snake? Things were getting pretty weird. But Rahna's thoughts about what was going on was interrupted as a massive white monster burst from the trees.

Rahna sat there, her eyes staring up at the beast in shock, and maybe some awe. She didn't know what to do. She knew that she needed to run, but her legs wouldn't obey her. Looks like she was the one with leg problems now. Not really something to laugh about either.

I think I might change Noise's header to that!

Yu Zuiren

Bran's reaction was something that Yu was aiming for, for the most part. He looked quite cute when he blushed. She grinned at his suggestion, "Sounds like a good plan~" Just as she went to move, another person strolled out of the trees to greet them. She would've responded to the other girl's introduction if she didn't have a gourd tip in her mouth. She decided to cut her gulp short to respond, but then another person walked out into the clearing. Some guy that called himself 'Chen'.

He looked.. short. Then she was hit with a realization. Bran and Chen were about the same height. They were both midgets! She tried to hold back a laugh, although it came out as a muffled 'pfft' sound as she turned away slightly. 'I guess it doesn't matter either way~ I'll get to know them in our own time~' she thought in a rather gutter manner.

When Vi spoke of a 'Retrograde', Yu didn't really know what she was talking about.. Or rather she did, but she was half drunk and hungover so thinking was a hard thing. Retrograde or whatever, Yu would face whatever came their way. The word 'Teamwork' was something Yu liked to hear. It meant working with others, which can be fun. Especially when they're all drunk with her, but now's not the time for that kind of teamwork.

The roar of a massive creature sounded in the distance, it was something that Yu had never heard before, but she saw glimpses of something big outside the forest. She could feel the atmosphere turn from rather calm to rather weary. "Falthon? Sounds weird. It can't be that bad~" She shrugged in some mock confidence. Of course, she knew that if something like that set everyone on edge, she should take it so lightly. However, Chen's idea was quite nice.

"Being the one that's--hic going to go get the relics, we'll most likely be at your funeral~" She said in a nonchalant tone with a playful smirk on her face. "But, I'll be sure to give you a.. reward if and when you get back safely~" And with that, she turned to walk toward the cliffs

Rahna Altema

Rahna barked in laughter at Eli's response to Nikki as she flew off the edge. "No need to thank me~ I'll always be around to help you out, you know that!" She responded, patting his back in a familiar manner. Eli's words of concern were a little lost on Rahna. It was pretty amusing to her for him to be telling her to be safe. The person who should be saying that line was her, but she decided to let it slide. She was happy that he was worried about her.

"Cold feet? Me? Ha!" She snorted as she picked up her belongings and her glider. "See you down there kiddo~!" She smirked playfully at him before jumping off the edge, following everyone else. As her glider unfolded, the rush of air pushed upward on the wings, slowing her descent by a significant amount. She leaned it forward, allowing the glider to dive downward. At this point, she donned her goggles to stop the rushing air from tearing her eyes out.

Getting a clearer view, she saw some of the other gliders having trouble staying in flight. Her inner doctor stirred as she saw the Gaius plane crash into the trees not too far off. Should she go help them? Of course she should. But... She caught a glimpse of Blin having troubles with his glider too, his screams inaudible to her as the wind rushed passed her ears. However, she realized that Nikki and Sera had gone to try help him, so he should be fine..

She turned her gaze back to the general area of the Gaius plane crash site and decided to turn her glider in that direction. 'I hope they're not too hurt..'

Getting down there was no easy task, since the pair had plummeted almost straight down, so Rahna had to tilt her glider to make slow circles as she spiraled down to them. When she got close enough to the trees, she realized there was no real open ground to land.. Well it was time to be daring now. She folded the wings of her glider as she approached the trees and pushed her feet onto the glider's main body plate, slamming into a thick tree.

All hopes of surfing down the tree trunk like a badass were dashed as a giant branch got in the way, knocking her clean off the packed glider. Luckily for her there were plenty of branches and leaves to slow her fall, although it still hurt like anything.

THUD.

Her body hit the soft earth below. She lay there for a moment before slowly getting up. She was glad that she didn't land on her back, or else all her belongings would be ruined. However, landing any other way hurt just as much. "Ow ow ow.." She whined as she slowly got to her feet, dusting herself off roughly. She glanced around quickly to look for Gaius and the woman. Speaking of which, she had heard a scream earlier... And then She saw movement among the trees. It was someone. Probably the woman? What was her name again...? Lee?

She quickly jogged over to the person, leaving her glider behind. It was Gaius, and Lee.

"Are you alright?!" She called as she rushed over to Lee. She could see that Lee was injured, hopefully not too seriously, but she was trembling and it didn't look like she could use her legs. Most likely shock. "Please calm down, take some deep breaths.. Don't worry, I'm here to help you." Rahna said in a calm manner. She couldn't let the woman see that she was also a little panicked. If the doctor is panicking, then the patient will too. She thought that she'd take a look at Gaius once she was done helping Lee. The man was tough, he should be fine for the moment.. hopefully.

"Where are you hurt? Can you move your legs?"
