Skarsneek of the Red Hill

"Hey, looks like we're working together." Skarsneek opened his arms and smiled at the wererabbit and teased her. "Try not to get too distracted, wouldn't want me to pull you out of trouble, would we?"

Though the light from the temple distracted him as he narrowed his eyes before releasing that tension away. He remembered seeing that in his travel, looks like more backup had arrived.

Great timing too since the scope of this operation, was already a lot bigger than he expected.

Seeing the new presence was a Gremlin however, had him slightly disappointed, but he'll take whatever he can get at this point. Though it was rare for him to see one.

"Welcome to Shizuyama island, Relica." Skarsneek said with a smile and extended a hand to her. "Where it's always sunny with a chance of a catapult, arrows and Varjan attacks. Also, the locals are just as likely to attack you since they're raised to hate Mamono!"

"But enough of that, I'm Skarsneek by the way, and here's our dashing leader, Takeshi Oja!" He swiveled to Takeshi as he moved in to settle the awkward moment before whispering to him. "Relica's a Gremlin, no worries, everyone gets confused. I couldn't tell most of the time actually. Best way to figure it out are their fancy metal toys."

Though he looked up and down on her, he added a bit more information. "She's a little bit bigger than most of them. So there's that too."

"We're about to go on a mission." Skarsneek added before pointing and gesturing to the rest of the team. "If you're feeling up to it, you're more than welcome to join in."
Just to inform you all but I'm busy till Saturday, so if people want to reply first without me, go ahead.

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

Standing around the plaza as he relaxed himself, Skarsneek kept eyes and ears out for any information he can find.

Though a familiar skittering had him smiling and turned, that quickly changed as he noticed the unusually serious look of his wife and sister.

Being dragged off quite forcefully, Skarsneek had to double his steps if due to the rapid speed and long legs of Atsuha. He then turned to Hinami and quickly inquired. "What's wrong?"

In between receiving his answer, Atsuha finally stopped as they came by Takeshi and a monk. The two looking at a hot spring.

Come to think of it, he never been in Shizuyama hot spring until now. A lecherous thought came and snickered, it'll certainly be a good place for a quick coitus-

"Hey, young master." Skarsneek shook that thought away when he heard his name being mentioned. Looks like they have to find this Yurine the Death Keeper.

Honestly with a title like that, it was not an auspicious title. He wagered that it hides some really nasty things, if his experience with necromancers and undead was to be believed. "If she joins, try to make sure she doesn't kill Io or try to put her to an early grave a second time."

"Get it?" He then snickered.

Gringor & Skarsneek

Staring at the ending fiasco, Gringor body and eyes looked warily at the Mad Hatter as she landed. The other underboss came as Takeshi caught her before she landed.

Eyes twitched, the usual fighting air was gone from her. So when she placed a hat on him, Gringor didn't react at all. Waiting for an attack that never came but also not letting his stance up till she was far away.

Only then did he stood up, grunted, rolled his shoulders and tossed the hat away to the sides.

At least, that was what he planned until someone tossed a shovel right toward him.

---

On the other side, Skarsneek waited with bated breath to intervene as his club was held loosely.

He let out a relaxed breath when Takeshi showed up, finally stopping the entire fight. Skarsneek followed suit as he stepped out from one of the onlooker shadows, hidden to all as he rested his weapons on his shoulders.

Idly, he looked at his food and realized it's probably all cold now. Sighing at that, he made his way back before hearing Ayu arrived and taking stock of the situation.

A moment passed before Skarsneek walked away quickly as he spotted said tools to the side.

Taking two of them, he quickly moved back and tossed one haphazardly with an obvious motion. True enough, the High Orc barely turned to catch it mid-air.

"Come, bet I can dig faster than you." He cheekily challenged, twirling the shovel in hand as the shovel looked comically ill-suited for his size.

Snorting, Gringor ignored the goblin as it was a waste of his time but he did keep the shovel. It was his now.

"Oh, what's wrong? Scared?" Skarsneek said, and those magic words had Gringor swiftly turning back to start digging. A single thrust to the ground and he nearly uprooted an equal amount of dirt that Alice's explosion did.

Meanwhile, Skarsneek did the same, and the two finished covering the hole in a blink of an eye.

"And done!"

"I'm faster." Gringor huffed as he stood tall and looked down on the goblin.

"Yea, yea." Skarsneek waved his hands before idly pointing out to the side. "So what caused that?"

"Hrng." Gringor clicked his tongue as he headed off, muttering something under his breath.

Skarsneek could barely hear it but it was sword boi?

Meh. Skarsneek thought and shook his shoulder.

He'll leave the heavy lifting to them, his job is a much more delicate one.

Still, if their muscles wasn't enough...

Skarsneek wondered if there were any poisonous plants here.

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

Waking up to the next morning and stretching himself, he looked at what kind of things he needed to do.

This time however, he patiently waited for both the sisters before proceeding.

Still, they could help out the woman that needs food, or recruit another of Takeshi associates. Getting all of them together would greatly increase their manpower.

So with that, Skarsneek kicked off as he find Ayu and see if she can explain the whole overview of their current situation, stock, logistics and morale. It was important to keep track of these things.

Skarsneek and Gringor

Skarsneek listened with a raised brow and clicked his tongue at Gringor words, that was a first.

An orc being picky? It might as well be raining with demonic energies if that's the case.

Seeing the rejection quickly devolved into a fight, that had him turned from his seat with one hand on the twin clubs he wielded.

Though when Shizuka came out of now where to intervene, Skarsneek shoulders lowered marginally though he kept an eye on the orc.

This was why when it was the mad hatter that continued the fight, it had Skarsneek blinked for a moment trying to understand what happened.

Gringor on the other hand kept a sharp look, not moving an inch at all even as Shizuka underboss appeared from now where. It had him twitched for a moment before he held himself back but he did not dropped his stance.

True to his expectation, the mad hatter went onward with the fight. Heart pounding and blood rushing through his veins as Gringor saw the multiple motions. From fire coming out, an explosive sound echoing moments before the fire jumped and then reached the top. The mad boi figure seen within.

While Shizuka made his move, Gringor kept still. Eyes tracking that singular moment that the mad hatter did as she somehow jumped off her weapon and going to dive.

Adjusting his grip and the length of the axe for a compact style, the blunt end always trained at the mad hatter.

Slow.

It was slow compared to the real thing. Gringor figured.

Body relaxed, Gringor waited for the last moment where the mad hatter would come into range. Shizuka attack might have worked, but it matter not.

The moment she came into range, Gringor would snap his weapon forward.

All present however was unaware that Skarsneek had already stood up, weapon drawn out and quietly moving forward. Clubs at the ready to intervene.
@Rezod92

ouch, yea, that sucks. Everything okay?

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

"Hmm." Skarsneek nodded as he digested the information, and also will need to clarify with Atsuha on Sorae ability. If it works as intended, that was undoubtedly an arsenal that they can use, or abuse, with Sorae.

Still, he supposed that such a technique had its drawback. Otherwise, she wouldn't be having so much trouble in the first place.

Also, that's dangerous. He saw Hinami eating and chewing that fish bone like it was nothing.

Then feeling the approach of another, his fingers twitched before relaxing themselves. Seeing who it was that made their way to them.

At Atsuha's affectionate gesture, he didn't hesitate as he threw his hand upwards to let her get closer. "Of course, of course."

He then took some of the rice ball with his hand, and proceeded to stop just before Atsuha mouth. "Open wide."

And just as promised, Skarsneek fed her. Though in one instance between he gave a light kiss to a rice ball cheekily and gave it to her. "With a little extra love."

"So, I heard some details from Hinami but I want to know more. Sora can turn into a ghost?" Though his attention will be taken soon as he heard a commotion outside.

Gringor of the Ironhide Tribe

Gringor turned around at her declaration of orcs having no sense of humor. Of course orcs had a sense of humor. Where had she been living, under a rock?

Already, he told her why he don't want to do it. Now she suddenly says something else? Then what did she want? Another fight?

It's worse now that she's speaking eloquent words in a language that he struggled already to understand and speak so it was hard to tell what she meant. Though his eyes twitched when he did recognize one particular word that she called him, and her getting into a familiar stance was enough to tell her what she wanted.

"It's." Gringor hefted his weapon and went into stance. One that he had been thinking about non-stop since the fight. His eyes reddened and most of all, a shot of pheromones came pouring out this time. Invisible to all but it was enough to rile the blood for excitement, but most of all, for battle.

Because to Gringor, what he saw wasn't the Mad Hatter but rather, the Shizuyaman warriors, in her place.

"High."

Axe held high and over his shoulders, it was compact enough and obvious for a downward chop but still had enough flexibility for a side strike should he choose to.

"Orc." Gringor emphasized as he readied himself. Hair bristling, and so ready for a fight. The wound he took earlier, pretty much healed, had a single droplet of blood coming back out.

Gringor of the Ironhide Tribe

Gringor looked at the Alice eagerness for a lay with a tilt of his head before planting his axe upwards to the side.

Then without any word, his arms wrapped around Alice own. Eliciting shock from everyone around but that was as far as the shock went.

Hmm. He tapped her arms first, slender and slim, then moved to pat her down to her waist and thighs. Inspecting her even before standing straight back up.

Brows furrowed, Gringor clicked his tongue and shook his head.

"Too skinny." Gringor said, before lifting his axe again and left. That was the end of it. "Youz want a fight, sure. But a mate, no."

That he barely had any pheromones, while a constant, being emitted out or at its weakest. Was a definite sign. Gringor just wasn't interested.

Skarsneek of the Red Hills

Seeing Takeshi taking his leave had him waved to the young lord before finally leaving out of sight.

"Well, let's go get something in our stomachs." He put both hands on the back of his head before eyes tilted to Atsuha's own words and snickered. He suppose he'll have to stop teasing her on it.

Though as they left to get some food, Atsuha chased after Takeshi. For a moment, he wondered if he should follow.

Well, it's not something he can solve. Honestly, this was a situation with no happy ending. Well, not for Takeshi's family as a whole. He certainly can get one but Skarsneek doubt Takeshi would be happy to hear that conclusion.

That and well, he wasn't the best for such a delicate situation. Skarsneek was an outsider, even though he spoke near-perfect Zipangu language. He'll never be seen as anything but that, even if he was human. Better to leave it to a local to handle it. So in the meantime, he'll have to take care of the younger sister.

With that in mind, he followed Hinami, completely missing out Alice breakdown as he sat and dine with the younger Hangai sister.

"Slow down. You don't want to choke, and chew your food properly." Skarsneek said to Hinami and then used his finger to pick off some of the stray rice off her cheeks.

"By the way, how's the mission with your sister?" Skarsneek asked in between bites with a nodding look. "Did Sorae go nuts again?"

Gringor of the Ironhide tribe

"Underboss," Gringor greeted and inclined his head. "You missed the fight, want to join in next time?"

Though on hearing of him being asked to join others for dinner, Gringor grunted and gave a small wave.

That's when he saw the spider lady, Atsuha was it? The one that's infatuated with that garbage of a goblin.

"Underboss says to go eat dinner." He said to the spider but seeing how determined she was, he'll let Takeshi handle the discipline.

Moving back to the group as he tromped forwards, his wound already scabbing after the day. By tomorrow after a good night's rest and he'll be right back to full health.

Though seeing everyone gathering around, he wondered what was going on before reaching the mad hatter. An eyebrow rose as she looked hunched over and threatened to cry.

Was she that upset over the loss? Or was it because she missed out on the fight?

Probably the latter as his eyes looked upwards, he'll feel a lot bummed out too if he knew that he just missed a good fight. Especially since she fought against them before.

"Ey, mad boi." Gringor bit the side of his lips before admitting that he hadn't beaten them. "There's plenty more of those basket 'eads that we need to bash their heads in, you in?"

He got no other choice but to get more hands to join in for this one. Some of the task force already know earlier, but if Alice bothered to look at Gringor, she'll notice the wound and slight bruises around his body.

@Enkryption

I will prob try to get my post by tonight.

Mind, its Gringor that will be interacting with the group.
