Sup im sword just got here and am getting a feel for things.
Well i got a feel for things and i think ill stay... also recovering from spine surgery sucks but is better than ending up in the emergency room again.
That and because what we learned earlier from Goblin Grandpa. Was that the god of the sun and the goddess of night are still heavily worshipped by humans, gaining their attention at all will be hard won. Where the nature Godess has mostly been forgotten.
The APC's two escorts had been taken out. Smaller vehicles with only a driver and passenger, it didn't take more than a few shots with the AK to take them out. However, his attention was brought back to the radio as it crackled to life. Someone called themselves Aether seemed to be calling the shots. At least she was fairly well descriptive when it came to her plan of attack. Steve didn't look to sure but kept driving anyways, the truck stayed on its current heading.
“Affirmative Commander” Romans robotic voice did have a slight Russian accent. Just a small program he added to the voice box. “This is Troll former Spetsnaz officer. My friend and I are on a collision course with incoming N.O. forces. Please advise running low on ammunition with two smoke and fragmentation grenades.” he paused for a moment as he looked over at the flashing red light on the dash board. Their battery bank had been hit, and they were losing power.
“Current plan, dig into enemy forces and engage in close quarters. Battery bank took a hit we won’t be running for much longer.” the Russian paused for another moment. He was assessing the situation, it didn't look good for them but at least it was going to be fun. Steve didn't look like he was enjoying this plan as much. Roman did notice he had put his seat belt on though.
“Recommended breaking off before contact. New fish will be dropping smoke and presents behind us.” Roman was quick to double check the grenades and kept one of each on Steve's person. “How copy?” roman kept the radio on as he also began to strap himself in. things were about to get very dangerous and interesting.
Still, roman had an idea. They were still going fast enough that anything that came off their truck debris wise would still do some damage if it broke off. With this thought in mind he opened his door and shot the hinges until it was about to break off. The dust cloud from the other vehicles was getting closer, and they were now on a head on course with them. A single truck and motor bike playing chicken with several other vehicles.
The rather angry dust cloud was starting to get closer. Nearly in range, the masked man stood back out on the running boards only now noticing the tear in his clothes at his shoulder. With a trained and steady aim even with the vehicle moving over such bumpy terrain. Roman began to take a few shots at the approaching vehicles. Only aiming for tires it wasn't long before they began to fire back.
A large transport truck remained in the middle of the group. It had a tarp over the back of it and Roman was unsure how many contacts would be in it, “Steve ram into the side of the middle truck. The safety features in this rig should save us from most of the impact.” Steve didn't look too happy with this plan but kept going. After emptying one of his magazines in the AK he sat back down in the rig and strapped in holding the grenades in his hands and pulling the pins.
The shots from the N.O. group began to do some damage to the rig. Windows busted, mirrors gone, multiple warning lights on the dash board, and loosing air pressure in more than a few tires. It was too late for them to do anything else they were inside the ring of N.O. vehicles. Just before their vehicle impacted the transport trucks passenger side, Roman dropped both grenades out the side of the truck. The sudden bang of steel on steel and the hiss of high pressure air systems were heard for a moment as everything went black around him.
The safety features had deployed. A fast acting foam that hardens to about the same strength as Styrofoam. Released after a high speed impact enveloped their cab. The truck they smashed into also stopped but didn't have any safety features deploy. The smoke and frag grenade did go off damaging a few other vehicles and effectively spreading chaos throughout the group.
Hunting with Goblin Luz >>> Ambushing Alphas /// Day 4 // Afternoon
Gird was definitely feeling more confident, not only in his skills but also Luz's as well. Their team work had improved greatly over the last two days. That and he rather enjoyed the change in leadership after every hunt or mission. The goblin suspected that Luz felt the same. Their hunt so far had gone exceedingly well, other than the first alpha they hadn't incurred any injuries. He only hoped that it would last.
After finishing their meals the duo set out again, Gird followed quietly behind Luz. He made sure to be several steps behind her, this made it so they could still communicate with hand gestures while being unlikely to run into each other. The forest was rather calm and quiet, they were definitely on the edge of whatever barrier was forcing the animals away from the church. Gird kept his eyes sharp, stepping quietly and looking through the bushes for any sign of movement.
A slight flicker caught his eye, and he slowly dropped to one knee, hoping Luz would pick up on this as well. Crawling on his hands and knees he inched up to a bush on their left and peered through it. On the other side was a small opening under the trees. In the middle of the opening was three rabbits. Two of them seemed to be squaring off and getting ready for a fight, the telltale red stripped fur marked these rabbits as alphas while another sat and watched. A female maybe.
Gird slowly drew back and away from the rabbits back towards the way they came. With a subtle motion for Luz to follow. Once he believed they were out of ear shot of the two alphas and the female. Gird looked at her and kept his voice at a whisper, “we have a few options here but since you’re the leader on this one this is what I was able to observed.” the goblin paused for a moment and looked around, “we got two alphas getting ready to fight each other with what looks like a female watching. It’s a small opening with plenty of cover around the edge and a few large trees nearby.” again he paused for a moment while thinking about a plan that could work.
“We could climb up to the tree tops and drop down on them from the branches with spears or charge them with spears when they are busy with each other. Our main targets have to be the alphas, but we still need to be wary of the female if she sees us she will alert the others.” Gird took the short spear he had out from the vines on his torso and smiled at her. “Either way if we mess up we will have two alphas on us so it’s going to be one hell of a fight. But I do believe we should at least wait till they start fighting, let them tire themselves out or injure each other before we go in for the kill.” that rush was starting to well up in his gut again. It was the same rush from the first alpha.
@Guy0fV4lor don't worry, technically Gird is wearing a bush. Also hello don't mind Gird if he's a bit rough around the edges, he really just wants what's best for the clan.
Hunting with Goblin Luz /// Day 4 // Morning - Afternoon
Gird could only smile at Luz. The look she gave him after his little 'joke' could almost kill. The hole that he searched through wasn't very impressive. A few sticks but none as good as the alphas. The goblin didn't spend too much time in the hole, he was trying to plan ahead. This area had proven to be fairly good so far. Perhaps in time other rabbits would move back into this area.
The goblin had moved a little ways away from the hole now and seeing as how Luz was still eating and being rather defensive about her food he decided to keep his distance. “So what do you think of this goddess business going on with the others? You going to join up with them?” he was curious and currently there didn't seem to be any danger around. This still didn't stop the young goblin from keeping his eyes out and watching the surrounding forest.
Seeing as how he still had some time as Luz was eating the goblin began to attempt to tie the new rabbit horn onto his tough branch. Although favoring his hands, he did know that it was only smart to have a spear handy. While doing this he continued to speak, “I don't think I will, at least not that god anyway.” he was using some more of the vines he had wrapped around his chest. They were beginning to dry but still felt strong just not as pliable.
Finally, feeling like the horn was tightly secured on the branch. Then he turned to the small rabbit pelt. It was a light brown and matched the color of some dried dirt. It was however, smaller and felt thinner than the alpha's fur hide from earlier. Gird looked at it for a moment and pulled his sharp stone from the vines on his chest. He had wrapped it in some leaves earlier to keep it from hurting him as he walked through the forest.
“That other god, Duvelna, the one for death.” he spoke up again while cutting the rabbit pelt into two smaller pieces. “I think that one will be more my style. Although I understand the importance of life, somehow I don't think we could have life without death. I for one enjoy keeping a balance between the two.” he would occasionally look over at her as he poked a few holes in each piece of fur. “That doesn't mean I'm going to go fight the others or convince them otherwise. We should still respect their choices after all we are a clan.”
Gird began to poke his fingers through the holes he made in the fur weaving it in-between the vines before tying the strips at his wrist. He was trying to make more padding between the vines and his hands, so he could strike things harder without risking as much injury. “Anyways, I do believe it’s your turn to lead. I think we should continue on our circle around the church though, then tell the others later what we found.” after putting the sharp stone away, Goblin Gird stood with his new hand wraps and spear in hand, food in his belly, and a smile on his face. He was happy to be out here hunting, it was exhilarating and a fun thing to do with a friend.
