Current @Riven Wright that is, in fact, the point of door-to-door proselytizing; membership retention. Deliberately put into uncomfortable interactions with outsiders, make them scared to leave The Group

I just saw the new Masters of The Universe, would recommend, especially if, like me, you were in the target audience back in the 1980's

Bio

Bios are stupid; oh, sure, everyone can see them, but I bet nobody reads them.

Rude hand gestures and shpadoinkle, there.

No, I wasn't drunk when I wrote this, but I was very tired.

The rest of the class fell in line shortly after the first three, with a lot of murmuring.

They were led to some cubicles that had rapidly been set up in the gymnasium. The detective sat everyone down on the one side of the gym, gesturing to the far side where they'd set up. "Alright, we're going to be interviewing you all one at a time, and we expect complete honesty from you. I'm sure you all want to help your classmate, and get out of here as quickly as possible, so by all means: full cooperation is in your best interest. Does anyone have any questions before we get started?"

One student in the class slowly raised his hand, "Yes?"

"I-is this gonna be on the final?" The detective simply went wide eyed, as Professor Abraham heaved a sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose.

@Martian
"So, how well would you say you know your classmate, Kylie Griffin?"

@DrDistasteful
"Would you say you have a positive or negative relationship with her?"

@Theyra
"Do you know if Ms. Griffin had any enemies?"

The detective and others go through several more questions like this, in various combinations, as they work through all the interviews.
Ok, well, 1 week, 0 feedback, or responses. I'm inclined to move on, and give you all more to do with some overt and clear prompts.

I openly encourage y'all to message me directly if you have ideas in mind for your characters, an arch you want to pursue, whatever will improve engagement here.
@DrDistasteful@Martian@Theyra

Alright, got a post out. Y'all can react however you like, don't sweat posting a large post since I only gave you so much to work with. soon though I'm going to move it along.

I was thinking about including y'alls brief interviews with the poli of oly, but if y'all would rather skip that, it's fine with me to move on with the plot.

Thoughts?
As the professor continued, he was interrupted by the doors opening, flooding the room with light and ruining the projector image. Professor Abraham shielded his eyes from the light, complaining loudly, "Ah, this must be Mr. Rivera, gracing us with your presence-"

"Actually, Professor, we're with the City of Olympia Police Department." The lights flicked back on, revealing two officers; one in uniform, the other a plain-clothes detective.

Professor Abraham raised his eyebrows, shaken from his annoyance with an apparently habitually tardy student. "Oh, uh, well, might we make an appointment, officers? I'm in the middle of a lecture-"

The detective stepped forward, flashing his badge, "Actually, Professor, with all due respect, this is a matter we're taking just a little too seriously to be brushed off." The detective's tone was aggressive, but they became more diplomatic when they addressed the class, "I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask all of you to cooperate with an ongoing investigation regarding one of your classmates. You too, professor. The dean has given us permission to interrupt normal classes, as this relates to the public safety, so if you would all please form an orderly line-"

Zadok interrupted again, "Now hold on just a moment! I haven't consented to you absconding with my students! What gives you the right to storm in here like the gestapo and-"

The detective held up a hand and cut him off, speaking in a hushed tone, "Sir, perhaps you didn't here me: We need you to come with us, as well, and since this is investigating an assault on one of your students, I'm sure you'll be happy to aid this investigation however you can."

He hesitated, shocked to hear one of his students had apparently been attacked?

Stunned, all he could do was nod and mutter, "Y-yes, of course..." He turned to the students, "Class, uh, is dismissed... I hope you all took good notes, but, the, uh, Detective here needs to speak with all of us, and I've assured them of our cooperation. Come now, let's go..."
Dane Whitman was donning his armor, taking a moment with the left gauntlet to make sure it was still in good working order. The brilliant orange glow of the light shield made for a good match with his armor, he thought, even if it was a little "trick or treat".

As he continued suiting up, he reflected on the conversation with Blade, and by extension, with Director Rogers. Dane respected Cap, Blade, as well, but he had his reservations. Sure, Castle Garret wouldn't exactly fall apart without him, but he'd come to think of the castle and England as his home, and since it was the last place he'd seen his uncle alive, he had some admittedly irrational attachment to the place.

He sheathed the sword on his left for the right-handed draw, put on the red cape and finally settled into the helm. Looking himself in the mirror, Dane hesitated at the striking resemblance to his uncle. He muttered to himself, "Well, knowing who all is on the team, here's hoping none of them try to kill me... Show time."

He marched out of the castle, where a winged horse awaited him. Mounting the animal, it quickly took off with a few flaps of it's powerful wings, carrying him into the sky and towards Brighton...

---------------------

The horse neighed out loud as they came in for a landing, starting at a trot once on the ground before coming to a stop. He gave a look around at the group (those who'd stepped off the quinjet, anyway). He was unimpressed by the apparent children, but at least nobody was trying to jump him, yet. The helm hid his raised eyebrow at Blade, one of the kids at the Day-Walkers' feet. "Playing nice, my friend?"

Dane dismounted, and walked towards Torch, his armor clanking slightly as he moved- it looked heavy, but he moved as if it weighed nothing. The wind made his red cape billow, and he stopped just in front of Torch. "You would be Torch, than? Dane Whitman-" He offered his right hand, "-The new Black Knight."
Not a waste of time, at all! Thanks for showing interest!

I meant Blade, but you can react to it if you want.

Nah, I don't think I'm going to do that. Just wanted to clear that up. Thanks.
Ok, trying to get a post out today. I appreciate everyone's patience.
alright, trying to get something out today. Appreciate the patience.

Uh, did the speedster bump into Blade, or was it meant to be implied he bumped into me?
@BangoSkank@Cao the Exiled

We just had our session zero last night, I'll check in with my players since we haven't gotten started properly yet.

feel free to pm me with concepts if you like, and if I get a green light from my group, I'll post a fresh invite link.

Important factor: we're operating on a hard schedule for game sessions; every other saturday at 6pm PST (next session is May 14th). If that doesn't work for you, or you can't guarantee having that time, well, it's non-negotiable. So, think about that before investing any time and energy into this, please.
