Alright, all the votes are in, but I'm at my day job and without my laptop, so I'll count the votes and share the results later today.

Alright, people- here it is, the poll for what rock you land on, and what manner of critters are just-a scribble-scrabblin' around on it. :P

First, some reminders: This is two separate polls, so keep that in mind when submitting your votes to my inbox. In each poll, you will have 3 votes- you will assign 2 votes to your first choice, and 1 vote to your second choice.

Planet:

• Earth-Like Planet
• Earth like, with unnatural biomes; think “single biome/climate per island”.
• Death World; predominately jungle, and excessive volcanic activity. Single super continent

Lifeforms:

• Mostly Alien with some Earth wildlife
• Completely alien, wildlife is hyper-aggressive and prone to rapid mutation in response to injuries

Note: There are only 2 options on the Lifeforms poll because 2 nominations were basically the same.

A whole day has gone by with no response from dragonfly; if somebody knows why they aren't responding, feel free to PM me, otherwise I'm aiming to get this started while people are still interested, and if they come back later they can drop in via stasis pod or something. I do prefer prompt responses when addressed directly.

Cybertron is, for the first time in a long time, divided.
A Predacon, claiming an ancestral title of 'Megatron', gathered a party of fellow Predacons and committed crimes against Cybertron, herself.
The last that was heard on the matter was that an exploration vessal, captained by a Son of Primus, no less, was diverting course to pursue the criminals.
Either through some cosmic anomaly, or mutual destruction, they haven't been heard from since.
Cybertron is of two minds, on the matter. Old resentments have been renewed, it seems, and authorities are barely keeping the peace.
To mixed responses, the governing bodies of Cybertron announced a bipartisan effort; A search would commence in the hopes of finding their lost comrades, with cooperation between Maximals and Predacons. The people don't seem convinced, presently having their own ideas of who their 'comrades' even are, 'Fellow Cybertronians' not seeming to catch on.
Tensions aside, a crew was assembled, and sent off into space, to the last known coordinates of the Maximal vessel.
It wasn't long, however, before this mission, too, went missing...

The last transmission was garbled, and chaotic- as though there was fighting aboard? Under it all, though, was an unidentified energy signature, and a transmission within the transmission:

"Ah, Cybertronians. Let the experiment begin."

Welcome to my latest attempt to do a fanfic of an rp

The nature of the setting will be voted on by the starting players. Players will submit there nominations to me via PM, followed by my presenting the options here on OOC prior to starting the RP. The submissions we're looking for are the planet/ecosystem (Earth like, ice planet, desert planet, something to communicate what kind of ecosystems to expect), and the nature of life on the planet (Earth like organisms, alien, particular types more prevalent such as insects or plants, something to inform what kind of options players can choose/conjure up).
Please limit yourselves to one submission in each category.

We'll determine which wins by way of ranked voting; each starting player will have 3 votes. in each category you may cast 2 votes (again, submitted to me via PM for secrecy) for the idea you like the most, 1 vote for a second choice, and 0 for the remainder/ideas you simply didn't care for. This should help avoid ties, despite so few players to start with.

Once we've finished this, only then will I provide the character creation materials, and the polling will be closed, so no votes from later applicants will be accepted.

Character Sheet

Name:
Faction: Maximal/Predacon (more options may open up over time)
Protoform: (spybot, science bot, battle bot, skybot, etc.) What sort of roll does your character fill in their group/what sort of abilities does their base form predispose them to?
Beast Mode: If you know Beast Wars, you know what this is. Just in case, though, this is your choice of alternate form. Characters just starting out will be able to (mostly*) perfectly imitate the form of a natural animal.
Personality: Tell us about who your character is.
Background: Tell us how your character came to be on the rescue mission when things went awry, be sure to include where your character stands on the current controversy on Cybertron.

*: Larger organisms get scaled down to still fit a near human form when not in Beast Mode. Smaller organisms get scaled up the same way. There are still size variations between Cybertronians, some more pronounced than others, but their aren’t massive giants running around, normally.
