Current I'm a pretty good writer and former site staff; I still deal with imposter syndrome every time I log on. You're definitely not alone. And t's worth trying anyway.

Don't worry, D3AD ST4R, most of us feel like that. <33

I just started watching it.

I just finished The Secret History, a very Gen X book. Never Let Me Go before that, which I'd recommend to any writer outside the MFA atmosphere who wants to know emotonal restraint.

I at least am doing fine, going to try and have a relations writeup finished by the end of tomorrow night.

Very cool, thanks! Lemme know if I can help. <3
Lemme know if anyone needs help. >>
For some reason I'm really onto the idea of doing a 1x1 game centered around relatively low ranking members of the Galactic Empire. No plots or stories otherwise set in stone for it, just that basic premise. Curious to see if anyone would be interested.

Up in the Characters tab.

If anyone wants to talk to me about relations sheets re: Vic, shoot me a PM. Is there a template you want used?

Nah, whatever template you want.
Now, a few things:

1) We're doing a "Relations" post.

They're fairly simple, straight forward things. It's essentially a little blurb about how your character sees the other characters. It's entirely okay to make up that one time where the other character bonded with your character over...cheetos, or music, or whatever. Maybe there was a rivalry to begin with. Maybe not. Iono, be creative with it.

Confused? Let me know. Or just wait until I release one for Emy, probably do one for Ash, too. Remember, this group (sans Emy) has been doing this for around a year. They eat lunch together, hang between classes together, they presumably have a weekly ritual like movie night together on Saturday, or whatever.

2) How well do we want the Scoobies already knowing the Watcher so far? Very little? Not at all? A lot?

3) Let me know if you have any monster, theme, idea, whatever, you loved from the canon material and would LOVE to have it included in this RP. Let me know if you have a character story arc you want to explore IC. The goal for me is everyone enjoying this game, not "here's a story, here's a setting, make a character, now start writing." Nah. Let's try to make this as much your game as it is my game, and we'll both be better off for it, I think.

ETA on CS is a couple hours from now. I might PM it to you before I post it here for a few reasons.

Name: "Dana Griese" ([???] Kawaguchi / "Kawaguchi-chan")

Post them in the Characters tab, please.
That is an exotic bio ^^

Indeed, and a friend of Blaine's, no less. :D

Dana and Victoria approved.

I'll hold one slot open in case someone still wants to put in a CS, otherwise we'll be off and running.
Still a slot left on this for those interested.
Character tab updated.

One more accepted character from starting the IC. Two more from considering the game "full" for now.
@Ruby

Nice! Well, if you think he isn't the fatherly type, we can easily go down the route of: One night stand, mother takes custody, but dies in some way so he has to begrudgingly take care of the kid. Would you like me to send my CS (When I get around to making it) to you via PM, so we can discuss their backgrounds?

I wouldn't say I never saw him as the fatherly type, just having his own child never entered into the calculus behind the character as I originally envisioned it. It might be a father-child relationship fraught with some baked in issues; I can't imagine something more important to a Watcher in that organization than actually getting assigned to a Slayer near a Hellmouth. A scenario where Watcher-father tells child, "For now, during this time, my duties to the Slayer are more important than my family" isn't exactly hard to imagine. So some serious potential for conflict and drama, should we want to go that route. Lots of options to survey and explore.

And sure! Send away.
