I just finished The Secret History, a very Gen X book. Never Let Me Go before that, which I'd recommend to any writer outside the MFA atmosphere who wants to know emotonal restraint.

What does my introduction got me doing tho?
Ultimately up to you. Where did they go after the team was disassembled? What have they been up to? For Jean that meant NYC, and college.
Whatever your character ends up doing, they'll have some phone (even a sat phone if they're out in the middle of nowhere) ring and Sharon Carter on the other end telling them it's time to "come in." Sharon will give your character some flight information, and that's it, you're on your way to a small country airport in the Virginia sticks. Everyone's gonna meet in the airport for a round of posting, then they'll get picked up.
