What inspired you to make a topic like this, @Ruby?

Met a Guild member who I'd never met before in a private Discord server, got to talking and once they realized I was site staff they had some questions.

I imagined they wouldn't be the only such person, so why not an OOC thread that people can drop questions in from time to time? Already gotten a few questions in private, so already not such a horrible idea...but it's early yet. Disaster could still strike.

Can I just say...the responses I've gotten about stuff people ALMOST posted if not for the rules.

Some ground rules:

1) Talk to me, don't address anyone else. At best I will delete the violating posts. At worst you will earn an automatic 24 hour site ban.

3) Don't openly criticize specific users. Don't even veiled/generally criticize specific users. Wanna do that, PM me.

4) Rules still apply, most specifically don't openly discuss bans, past or present. You can ask about them in PMs if you like.

I'm well aware this could turn into a flaming mess very quickly, hence the rules above, but I'd like to give most folks at least a chance.

Stop name dropping. Stop personal attacks. Stop doing things that result in staff getting an endless parade of reports, because this thread is approaching, "Don't waste staff's time."

Let me keep this simple:

1. Harbinger said he was done trying engage with penny, and so by engaging with penny he is going back on himself. That's all I'm pointing out, the contradiction, obviously he is free to argue with whoever he wants.

2.There was never any hate campaign against you, it was just that one Troll Tulpa, everything else was in your head.

3.Nobody stalks you, Buddha hung around popular threads because he's a narccisist, you happen to also like popular threads for whatever reason so you frequently cross paths.

4. If you want your asexuality to be respected, which I think it should be, you also need to respect Trans people, their experiences and feelings are just as real as yours.

Bio:

A pretty mid-western farm girl that never lacked in charm or talent. Arriving in Hollywood in the mid 1940s, Gwendalyn was certain she would be a big star. It was just a matter of time. Where some girls get lucky with their Hollywood dreams, Gwendalyn Vance was not one of those lucky girls. The victim of a crooked Hollywood pretender and a mob boss, Gwendalyn very quickly found herself the victim of a system set up to use and abuse naive young girls who came to Hollywood with no more than dreams and talent. One night she was sobbing into her cup of coffee (the only thing she could afford in all the world) in the back of a LA 24 hour diner when a voice appeared at the edge of the table:

When Gwendalyn looked up she saw Eva for the first time, smiling and warm. Gwendalyn told the woman everything, instantly, even though Gwendalyn hadn't told anyone anything before; she was still lying to her family back home. Eva offered Gwendalyn her hand without another word...it was a leap of faith that this mysterious seemed to want from Gwendalyn. Desperate and tired of being hurt, Gwendalyn lept. Gwendalyn would watch as Eva and Yanci destroyed the Hollywood wanna-be in every fashion imaginable. All three women would watch as the wanna-be shot himself in the head...that ending Eva's mercy for the man.

Gwendalyn was there years later when Eva and Yanci, literally, burned down the mobster's little crime empire. Just when then actual Hollywood actress Gwendalyn thought the two women would end him, Eva took her. There was pain, Gwendalyn recalls faintly, but in the moment and even in memory what Gwendalyn was overcame with was...pleasure. When she woke up, the Beast wanted blood. The mobster that had beat her into submission as his personal arm candy play thing was shoved into the room with only the just awoken Gwendalyn. She has never forgotten the sound of his screaming, the futile flailing of his body.

Her acting career short but memorable, Gwendalyn felt sated on every possible level. All she wanted at that point was to stay with Eva and Yanci forever. Over time Gwendalyn learned just what Eva was, not in vampirism, but in function: Eva was behind not just Hollywood, not just Los Angeles, but much of California. Eva was certain Gwendalyn could help her in this impossibly large task. So Gwendalyn went to work behind the scenes, instead of in front of the camera.

She fell in love when she met a Kindred LA thug named Andre, the man who fought his way to Eva's side, in the 80s. She lost Andre in the fighting that resulted when the Kid went mad, just as she lost most of her coterie mates. Though she did not technically lose Eva, her sire's physical absence due to torpor has hit Gwendalyn especially hard. Before Andre the only person who Gwendalyn felt truly safe around was Eva. After Andre, even Eva was taken from her. Though she loves Yanci, though the two are lovers, they both know that Gwendalyn clings to Yanci out of need.

Recently Gwendalyn has begun to find her footing. While Yanci was left as the Baron, Eva left Hollywood with Gwendalyn. The mid-west farm girl with stars in her eyes now runs Hollywood from behind the scenes. It's the thrill of any lifetime for Gwendalyn, and though Yanci had fears Gwendalyn would be too emotionally shaken to do well, Gwendalyn has done better than anyone but Eva imagined she would. Now Gwendalyn has a strength and confidence all her own, and she remains lovers with Yanci out of affection, not need.
