Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

...well, if you guys are on the Guild Hall, then one of you should probably save Rajin's character. Since you know, he's sort of just fallen off the top of it.

Also, Ceri's there, too. She's gonna freak when she see's so many people there.
@Whimsley
Oh, sorry Whims. I didn't realize the encounter was supposed to be over with. I was assuming I was being given a little bit of leeway with having to find where the Xatu supposedly were. Finding them in just one post would be a little...dull? I dunno, It just didn't seem like that was the end of it.

That said.

Lynn's gonna totally nab that Pancham.
'i'll' be honest... I've never gotten to play blood-borne 'nor' do I know who Aldrich is XD... unless he's a dark souls thing I missed somewhere... and I always thought that Dark souls lore was rather 'enigmatic' and 'unexplained' officially... at least, that was the feeling I got last time I seriously looked into it, like they designed the lore to inspire speculation and imagination on the parts of the players.

Aldrich, The Devourer of Gods is basically a boss and a Lord of Cinder in Dark Souls 3 who 'devoured' the Gods (Gwyndolin is the only the confirmed one, but many people speculate he consumed more) And basically absorbed their powers. (which, he did through cannibalism, by the way, so I would imagine if your character did something similar he'd have to do it as well to make sense lore-wise)

It's mostly designed to explore a conceptualized philosophical approach to being undead. [Which to my knowledge is something dark souls tried to inspire, making the players imagine all the 'what ifs' because it never truly explained anything with surety itself.] I mean, I can put him down as a normal undead and just roll with his 'quirky ideals', I actually only included the absorption idea because it kindof fit with his Philosophical theme of replacing 'his' old with a new 'him', in a way, which made since that it could be influenced by something he might be replacing it 'with'.

I think that's the beauty of the Dark Souls universe, honestly, that it never fully explains what it is. Because then, everyone can come up with their own ideas and theories and as you said, philosophies. That said, there is pretty much the option for 'Undead are actually just the true form of humanity' hinted at multiple times through the games. In dark souls 1 the ending where you decide not to Link the first flame. So, to further say I just don't think the abilities your guys have make sense lore wise, unless he was similar to Aldrich.

Which is a huge 'no' from me, since he's well...a Boss. Also, not undead, and in fact an enemy from the Abyss, I believe.

Basically, I just don't see any feasible way for this to work in the setting of Dark Souls established setting.
Well, I wasn't here for the first iteration, so I know nothing xP

But that's rather interesting. Maybe we will have a similar dynamic, this time~
...I'll be honest, gave it a read and I'm not a fan of the 'absorbing monsters power for your own thing'

Reminds me a bit too much of Aldrich, if I'm reading that right, and I think he was probably a special case. And while that's not necessarily a bad thing...it just seems to well, break away too much from established Dark Souls lore and things. Seems like he'd...I dunno, be something that'd be more of a boss or NPC type thing.

I dunno, I'm not sure why at the moment, but it just doesn't sit well with me.

Seems like it could easily just become quite overpowered, I think, compared to the rest of the characters.
Ah? I haven't been able to beat Dark Souls 3 yet, my computer is currently having some problems xD

Anyways, that's cool, thanks for the info. Moved to the Character tab~

Foe: Noctowl & Hoothoot Flock
Level: 20
Ability: Tinted Lens
Gender: Female

Hoothoots range from level 3-6

First, their home had been destroyed.

Then there was fire. One of the humans was attempting to burn the forest. Not only that, but the Hoothoots as well. One was even using some annoying electric pokemon. She would not stand for her hatchlings and the others being harmed. Not a single, damn, one. The Noctowl spread its wings as an ear shattering screech pierced the night, its body glowing a light gold in the process. It would not let these humans...these trainers leave here alive. The Noctowl, beat its wings, its mighty wingspan easily reaching as long as a human was tall. A powerful gust of wind swept through the area, and before the fires got too large the sheer force of the gust put out most of the fires.

As the one burning things assaulted the hoothoots, they began to scatter from in front of him and his pokemon. Instead, they circled around back and began pecking at him and the Houndour. For everyone they burned and put out of commission however temporary, another seemed to take their place every time. Occasionally, one even used Hypnosis on Noah.

The Noctowl, though, focused on the girl with the Mareep.

Another screech, and the owl pokemon left its perch...and slammed at full speed right into Mareep, certain to probably knock it out, or at least bring it very, very close. The Mareep was knocked off its feet from the force of it, gravity failing to do it's job as it was sent flying. The Noctowl then turned its attention right to Ivy and glared at the small trainer, red eyes full of nothing but malice.

~Abigail Blanchett~

To say this was bad...was an understatement. What the actual hell was Noah and Ivy doing?! They were going to get themselves killed! He was burning things, and she was...well, doing a fairly smart thing and trying to paralyze all the Hoothoots. Still, attacking them herself? That was fine and all if that was all you could do, but that wasn't going to do anything but get her hurt!

"Are you two idiots!" She snarled at them, but her voice fell on deaf ears, and she had her own problems at the moment. Most of the Hoothoot were focusing on Noah and Ivy, but they had their fair share of attention as well. Both her and Cerise were surrounded, along with Yuu. At least a dozen or so Hoothoot separating the three of them from the other two trainers, and it was unlikely they were going to be able to get to them easily.

She grit her teeth. This entire situation was bad, but she wasn't about to go quietly into the night. Hell, she wasn't going to go at all, and she wasn't going to let these morons die either, if she could help it...even if they were being goddamn idiots, it'd leave a bad taste in her mouth to sit idly by and do nothing.

"Tyrian, Peck!" She shouted, pointing to one of the Hoothoot. She might as well attempt to try and clear a path. Tyrian was too far away to do much else, and there was no way he was gonna get to that Noctowl unless she like, threw him at it, which was a terrible idea. Even Tyrian could tell something was terribly wrong here, and obeyed, surprisingly fairly competent. He slammed his horn right into a Hoothoot, sending the bird pokemon flying, bouncing right into another one.

She spared a glance over at-Oh no. That Noctowl was not good news, and from the looks of it, Ivy was about to get hurt.

It slammed into Tesla with a Sky Attack like he was nothing, which meant that Noctowl wasn't gonna be easy to take down. If they didn't have to deal with this horde of Hoothoot, then maybe...first thing first, she had to make sure Ivy wasn't going to get hurt.

"Cerise!" Abigail shouted.

"Yes?" The redhead answered. She was clinging close to Abigail, Sage glaring menacingly at any Hoothoot should they get to close and using Peck on the Hoothoot without even having to be ordered too. The smaller girl looked surprisingly calm for the situation she was in.

"Ally switch on Ivy, NOW!"

"Sage-!" The Natu didn't even have to be ordered. His eyes flashed with psychic energy, a flash of white and Ivy and he Switched places, with Ivy now floating a few feet above the ground in front of Cerise. Sage, was now in front of Noctowl, who was only momentarily surprised.

"Any bright ideas, Yuu?!" Abigail called out over the constant hooting of the owls. She didn't want to admit it, but unless they put both of their heads together, they were probably not gonna get out of here unscathed.
I swear to god these Application Errors are about to cause me to rage quit the internet xD
~Neix~

She fell quiet soon enough, lost to her own thoughts. Chances were, these people were in a similar situation as she was, but she didn't know any of them, and as such didn't really have any desire to make small talk with them. It would honestly probably be a good idea to at least get acquainted with them, but...meh, screw that. She had her own problems at the moment. Sure, the idea of being a kobold was fairly neat, and she wasn't gonna question how or why too much. She was here, not much she could do about it at the moment. That didn't mean she wasn't upset or trying to fight back losing it.

As interesting as this was, she had a life back there and it had all just been taken away. She supposed being alive was better than being dead, after all, but...

"WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND HERE!?"

Someone loudly shouted a similar thought to her next one. Looked like a goblin of sorts. She looked around, noticing a few new additions to their little party of recently deceased humans turned monsters. An adorable looking Arachne. She always had a thing for them in DnD campaigns and games. Or was she a Drider? Eh, didn't matter. Spider people were cool. Some sort of bird-brained looking harpy, two fluffy looking cats she sort of wanted to cuddle with. One of which looked pretty spooked. Lastly, some sort of slime thing. Well, Slimes were cool too. A little annoying though.

"No idea, but shouting ain't not gonna help, ya big nosed idiot." She said to Nox, a slight smirk appearing on her crocodile like face. "So instead, how about you use that tiny brain cell of yours to maybe do something productive, yeah?" She chuckled, before introducing herself...actually, how should she introduce herself. Her name, was in fact, Alexis in her past life. That was probably not exactly a good name to go by now...so...hmm...why not use the name of her character in the DnD game she was just at?

"Call me Neix." She said, chuckling lightly. "Bit of a shitty predicament, isn't it?" She took a few steps away from the pool, getting a better look at this cave they were in. Cramped, since there was quite a few of them here, and she didn't see any sort of visible exit at the moment.

...well, she needed something to distract herself with, but what? She wasn't really feeling up for idle conversation at the moment, and since she didn't have any work or home work from college to distract herself with...well...this body looked awfully scrawny, and she wasn't really used to moving in it. So, well, why not a work out or something then? She didn't have some poor guy to take out her frustrations on at the moment, but...meh, she needed to do something.
