I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
"Oh you're going to love what I cobbled together." Cinnis chimed up as Lokea finished filling her in on the situation. "This is a fun little adventure into a sordid, exciting past of black operations."
"Oh do regale me with your ever so pleasant tones." Alexis couldn't help but to roll her eyes as she gave a sarcastic reply.
"A genetically modified sniper, abducted at a young age." Cinnis droned, but a loud noise from the offices caused Alexis to turn her attention back to the offices, reloading her guns in the process.
"Hey! I heard something that sounded like a Krogan playing whack-a-volus with a Vorcha." She shouted over the comms, being too far away to really check on the situation herself. Looked like there was another human there? He didn't seem hostile, but one couldn't be too careful. Seemed awfully aggressive. How fun. "Tell the new guy to spend less time breaking walls and more time breaking the face of the Blue Suns. What else you got, Cinnis?" Alexis voice crackled off over the comms.
"She was one of the best snipers Cerberus ever had, barring yours truly of course - no one beats my precision aim." Cinnis' normally dry voice was punctuated by a brief high pitched tone of self praise. "Information was silenced when she was picked up by the alliance. real name unknown, and after an incident she came to Omega to redeem herself it seemed. Very Anti-Cerberus. You two should get along lovely. Some pretty advanced cybernetics too."
"Advanced cybernetics, huh?"
"Oh dear. Note to self. Refrain from mentioning cybernetics in people." Cinnis groaned. "I'll tell you more later. We have incoming."
"Hey, I think we can trust White Glint." Alexis shouted over the comms. "She's been on Omega awhile and been cleaning up some gangs around here for a few years now, besides, we got incoming!" Gunships and drones, hah! They were making this too easy.
"I got the airships! Just try and keep the drones off me while I line up a shot! I only got a few shots, so lets make every one count, heh!" Alexis holstered her Hornet, quickly pulling the Hydra from its holster, lining it up and aiming.
Hero's District, Priestella Death count: 1 Reset Count: 4
"Donovan you villain!" Chieko's eyes widened, yelling after the doctor and unable to even understand why Donovan just simply left. Was he the culprit after all? He was at least complicit, which was just as bad. He didn't deserve to be a doctor. Not at all. He deserved to be hung, quartered, and - Chieko bit her lip, she didn't have time to think about such things. Her mind raced in the few seconds afforded. What could she do? What should she do? She wasn't a fighter. She couldn't fight. She'd die again if she fought.
She was helpless, unable to do anything. Some hero she was...unless. Maybe. Maybe she could use those candles to her advantage? It'd be risky, and she'd need a small room, and Aki's help.
Quill's blade sunk into Flame's chest.
"Aki, come with me...!" Hopefully Flame brought her just enough time, but she'd need Aki's air magic and ability to cure the incense poisoning. A hero had many things in their arsenal. Strength. Skill...the ability to use their brain. A measure of luck. Chieko ran to the back rooms, deeper into the clinic. Heading to the front door as long as Quill was there was a bad idea - and the Candles would be deeper in the clinic. How many would she need? Two? Three? Even a single might help. Focus. Find some first.
"Hide further in, Aki..." Chieko released the other girls hand, giving her only a soft command. Maybe a bad idea, but she was banking on herself being the more priority target. Chieko headed for the first patient room she could find that was empty. As luck would have it, one of the first items she found was a half-burned Candle. If it was good, then she could use this to her advantage.
Chieko lit the candle immediately, and began barricading the door with whatever she could find. It wouldn't likely hold Quill for long, but if she could just let the candle burn and fill the room for even a few seconds, then it could make this that much easier. According to the others, it didn't take long to work...but there was no telling how long the candles had been burning, or how many of them were there even.
She was oddly calm, despite the imminent danger.
Mie Yukima
Below Ground - The back rooms
Mie seemed wholly unconcerned with the danger she was in. If anything, she seemed entirely entertained by it. She obediently followed, making a few interested smiles and glances at guards and other people as they passed. Had to look the part, after all, but these people weren't making it overly hard to blend in, and soon enough they reached the offices and were immediately met with Ruri who went on to immediately berate them for their appearance.
Rude.
"Fufu, don't be too hard on the kitten. She's new to this, after all, and isn't quite so welcoming of the stares." Mie's impish grin turned into a playful pout. "Sloppy makeup though? Tsk, I'll have you know I am pretty enough without it." Mie had confidence, if nothing else at the moment, but banter was only going to get so far.
"And what are you talking about, oldie? Tsuki and Hana are our names, or were you under the impression they were different?" Questions though? She was being oddly polite, and this didn't smell like a trap. None of her fur was standing on end, and her ears weren't twitching in any particular direction. She could be trusted. Hmm, questions questions. "But enough banter. You seem to know what we're here for." Mie smirked. "The only questions I have are what are we looking for, and where is it? And is there anything you could do to...make it easier for a little fox and kitten to, shall we say, redistribute some information."
"Ah..." Momentarily surprised by Mirithals swift approach, Tania made a small noise of surprise. Good! He didn't recognize her. Now she just had to keep up the facade until he realized she was in fact, Tania. If he did at all, heh. She didn't care either way, she'd get giggles regardless. For now though, play the fool and no one would be the wiser.
"A pretty flower...for me?" Tania grinned, smelling the flowers presented to her. "Aw, thank you treeman. Since you introduced yourself, its proper I do the same. I am simply known as Tea." She twirled, spinning on one of her heels as she took a few steps away from Mirithal. "A friend? How cruel. Leaving such a pretty tree all by themselves...I may have seen a little Aetheri pass in quite the hurry. Shall we look for her together? I'm not doing anything important right now."
Aelsu had thought the Order would be a place where she could earn her freedom, but it seemed to quickly not be the case. The heavy shackles were only a minor inconvenience, really, but it was a statement. An infuriating reminder that she was owned. Property. She'd rather have died honorably on the battlefield than this again...but perhaps, such was her fate for not being a true Orisiri. Her gods perhaps, enjoyed her torment and rightfully so. She should have died in the Arena years ago. She was just far too stubborn too. If the gods wanted to constantly test her, then she'd overcome until she had earned her freedom and redemption, even if it never came.
The Orisiri listened with only trained attention to the words of the lieutenant at the port. As the shackles came off, Aelsu merely flexed her hands, taking a moment to get the feeling of them off of her body, ignoring the shouts of anger. Understandable. Criminals and outlaws being bought to your land? No one would find the idea welcome. She'd probably do something similar. Perhaps. Perhaps. The people of Haev were simply being cautious of troublesome outsiders that they didn't ask for or want.
She followed the others obediently, without much thought, taking note of the different people. She had spent most of her life in the Pits, in and out of cells or stone buildings...being outside for a change was refreshing. What wasn't though, were the merchants from Eroammir, peddling their wares. Anyone watching, could easily tell Aelsu was having to physically restrain herself from doing something rash, but thankfully once they reached their destination Aelsu's thoughts were focused on it.
At least it was outside, and not something that barely passed as an upgrade from a cell. Better than the Pits, at least. She'd take it.
The Lieutenant began speaking again, telling them this was to be their home. Aelsu folded her arms across her chest, but said nothing. As long as she wasn't in the Pits, she'd live. Lions, beasts, and blood thirsty criminals had yet to best her in combat, she wasn't going to complain about being a little cold. The only thing that seemed to catch her attention, was the ring people were using for wrestling. Hm. Perhaps she could find some decent entertainment there, but she was quickly ushered once more towards an important looking tent.
Commander Vaughn was quick to introduce himself, and Aelsu immediately didn't like him. Talked too much, and that word 'redeemed' again. Annoying. She had nothing to repent for in these foreign lands. What she had done, was merely try to earn her and those in the pits their rightfully deserved freedom from a barbaric society masquerading as enlightened. She ignored her companions. She didn't care about their immediate opinions, but it sounded like the Order had no business being in Weirn anyways, if they were met with such resistance.
But that wasn't her place to say such things.
"...you took me from an honorable death," Aelsu replied coolly. She was still wearing her armor, most of her appearance being completely hidden, but her voice likely now gave her away as an Orisiri. "at the hands of those godless mongrels of Eroammir. Yet you give me some semblance of freedom, despite being so blatantly shackled...so you have my spear, for now. Don't squander it."
Slowly, Ash roused herself from sleep, stretching her body and yawning tiredly as she heard the others around her doing the same. Urrgh, she wanted to sleep a bit more, honestly. Curl up under a blanket and do absolutely nothing. Ugh, she missed her human life slightly. She was not suited towards roughing it, as they say, but oh well. She'd slowly gotten used to it over the past week. Stretching her neck and working walking out of the temporary burrow, Ash quietly observed her surroundings, taking note of the others and making sure they were mostly alone.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for now.
Walking over to the creek, Ash took a big mouthful of water. Now all they'd really need is food, and they could spend the rest of the training and practicing. Oberon and Mourn were likely a good fit for that. Keep Digbie around to help fend of anything that might attack them, and send Torrent and Reoth out scouting around for trouble.
That aside - they had made some extremely good progress last night. She did, at any rate. Taking a look at her skills she made progress on a good number of things she wanted too in the magical department, and her Analysis skills seemed to have synergized into something new as well. Good - she could spend less time actively thinking about doing both in that case, and likely gain just as much, if not more information.
Which skills to use though...she had 14 to spend, but if she was to be completely honest. Nothing stood out a whole lot to her. She could more or less eventually train everything she had so far, so spending skill points felt somewhat pointless. All except that one at the very bottom of her list...Rabid Fit. Something similar to Rabies then? Increased attack strength at the cost of something else? Perhaps that could synergize well with her Overwork skill. Hm.
"Nine points into Rabid Fit...and three points into Meditate." That would leave her with two left over for later. No need to use all resources right now, and she was curious as to this Rabid Fit and what the next level of Meditate could do. Now what to do next...before she could tell, there was the feeling of someone watching, just barely, and she could barely make out the sight of the goblin from the hill. Ash tensed her body, making a move to chase after, but he was gone before she even had a chance too.
"Ugh, damn it..." She held a claw to her nose. "Why is it always something with these interruptions..." The Pygmy drake ground her teeth together, obviously not quite happy at the prospect of potentially being interrupted by some nobody goblins.
"I agree with Oberon. That didn't seem to be any goblin from the cave. There's likely another tribe around here." Ash said in a matter of fact tone. "All we can do is either move out again, or prepare for the worst. Hm, I doubt we'd have time to construct fortifications. We lack the materials and we could expect something in the next day or two." Ash sat up straight, thinking about their situation. She had hoped now that they were out of the range of the cave goblins, she could finally have some measure of peace to study without worry, but of course nothing could ever be that simple.
"So I think our best course of action would be to continue as we were. Training our skills, sharing knowledge, and working on our teamwork. If we must use force to overcome our obstacles until we can finally be settled in some place safely, then that's simply how it must be." Turning her head to the others, she began handing out instructions. "Oberon, Mourn, you did an amazing job yesterday with the hunting. If possible, head back out and see if you can hunt some rubber frogs for food and their skin. Their skin is highly flexible and durable. Might make for some good armor. They don't seem to have any magical abilities other than trying to swallow things whole so I doubt you'd have trouble."
Flapping her wings and hovering lightly off the ground, Ash continued.
"Meanwhile the others and I can see about foraging, scouting, and perhaps practicing some." She did want to learn that Scale Shift move from Reoth. That would be incredibly helpful - and well, also her vanity was getting the best of her. Being able to be whatever color she wanted to be would be absolutely amazing. Now if only she could work on this ugly lizard face of hers. "I, have a few things I'd like to do with this mana crystal."
Her blow struck, and she was struck by a brilliant flash of lightning.
Seleth was sent flying backwards from the blow, tumbling and landing upon the ground some distance away. Her spear clattered to the stone ground uselessly next to her. Damn it! Damn it! She could feel her body protesting her trying to move. Blackness colored the edge of her vision, try as she might, Seleth's dazed body could not move no matter how much she tried to force it...
...
Consciousness soon returned. She couldn't hear any cheering. What had happened? Seleth's vision soon returned as a deafening silence permeated the arena. She needed to raise - get up. Gritting her teeth, Seleth moved an arm, firmly planting her hand on the ground as she slowly rose to a kneel. Her breath was heavy, labored, as she tried to make sense of what had happened, an audible gasp from the audience that was quickly followed by one of her own.
Lisia lay on the ground, completely unconscious from their fight.
An applause followed, as Seleth grabbed her spear and pushed her sore body to her feet. She had won? She was in as much disbelief as the crowd was. There was no cheering, no boast of victory. Only a look of shock from the Dark Elf as she processed the situation. Oh, even if she didn't win against Varjan, she could go home slightly less disgraced, right? Right?
"Ha..." A quiet laugh of relief, before she was unable to completely entertain her excitement, before she lifted the spear high, at least giving the crowd something to talk about...before promptly turning to leave and tripping over her own feet, hitting the ground again. Quickly, Seleth pushed herself to her feet once again, face red with embarrassment before leaving the arena, intending to head back to the Cathedral unless stopped by someone.
Tania was feeling pretty confident. He was simple minded, to be certain, but there was no way he'd get that lucky. Or maybe he would. Even if he did, she had a few more tricks up her sleeve. Unfortunately for him, however, his luck was not fortunate. The roots twisted and grew down the hallway, circling around the false projection - or rather, the false projection moved right through his roots as his roots had the wall earlier.
Tania had seemingly escaped, and Mirithal was alone. A little further down the hallway Tania was laughing lightly to herself, having successfully evaded capture for now. Well, lets see how smart this tree really was. Tania's feet hit the floor, growing temporarily to the size of a small human. Her inhuman features were quickly hidden behind a veil of illusions. By all accounts, she looked completely human. A flimsy disguise, but one she could still have fun with.
She just needed to learn a bit more alteration magic and then she could completely blend in.
But for now, the Aetheri waited for Mirithal to make his next move.

Name: Vi
Species: Misdreavus
Age: 20
Appearance: Vi's appearance isn't too different from most other Misdreavus one might find. A necklace of ruby colored stones, that shriek when you hold your ear to them. One notable difference however, is this particular Misdreavus' blue colored eyes, which seem to shine slightly with ghostly energy.
History: Vi was a pretty normal kid, growing up if a bit of a loner. Average middle class family, but a bit of a black sheep compared to his brothers and sisters. They took to mundane studies. Academics. Physical pursuits like football, trade jobs. That sort of thing. Things people might have considered normal. Vi though, always carried a fascination with the occult. Ghosts. Macabre tales of death and such. A bit of a goth and a lover of history, as they might say. Truthfully, there's not much to say beyond this.
When Vi was 18, they got a job as a cameraman for a small time internet vlog channel that went around exploring abandoned places - urban Exploration. Some weird other occult stuff, occasionally too. Anything ghost and historical and mystery related. It was during a lock-in, when the group locked themselves in an old abandoned factory did Vi end up sleeping alone in an old boiler room.
When they woke up...they were a pokemon? Well, this should be interesting.

@Lucius Cypher Alright, here we go. A little light on the history and stuff but I don't think I need to go too much in depth.
