"A Detective?  Really?  Well...nice talking to ya."

Heather has dyed blonde hair which is chin-length and layered with side swept bangs covering her right eye. Her hair is somewhat disheveled and shaggy and has dark roots showing.  Her natural hair color is brunette, similar to Cheryl, Harry's first daughter, who is also, along with Heather, a reincarnation of Alessa Gillespie.  

Heather doesn't usually wear make-up. Freckles and blemishes can be seen on her face, arms, and legs. The skin around her eyes is sometimes portrayed as pink and reddish, giving the impression that she has been crying or is teary-eyed. She also sometimes has slightly dark eye bags which give her an exhausted weary tired look.

Her default outfit is an orange, sleeveless turtleneck under a white, hooded vest with four front pockets used to hold a flashlightand ammo, and a dark green denim miniskirt.  After sobbing on her father's bloody corpse, her vest remained bloodied for the remainder of time between Harry's death and her time in Silent Hill searching for Claudia Wolf. She also wears tall brown boots, a digital wristwatch, and orange wristbands on each arm.

Heather is a seemingly normal and carefree girl who loves to shop. One trait of Heather is that she is moody and loses her temper quite easily at things that frustrate her, which are considered normal traits for a teenager. Heather can also be very sarcastic and humorous .  Because of her snarky sarcastic streak, she adapted rather remarkably to the disturbing spectacles she found on her journey.  

She feels her ordeal has numbed her senses.  Her bravery and nonchalant reaction to various creatures and horrors late in her traverse through Silent Hill, forged by her resolve later, all point to a rather feisty and hot-headed temperament.

However, Heather is still vulnerable, as there are moments when she can be quite sensitive and emotional.  

Heather is a scared, stressed, exhausted and frightened teenager struggling to realize her identity (Alessa) and find her place in the world.  She views suffering as a natural, and sometimes unavoidable, part of life, yet doesn't like the idea of anyone hurting and killing people to achieve their goals.  

This shows that she has a strong sense of "justice."

Heather also has mild to moderate Spectrophobia, or fear of mirrors.  She claims it's because she feels that when looking into a mirror, she is actually staring into another world where her reflection exists as a separate entity.  This may be due in part to Heather struggling to come to grips with her identity as both herself and Alessa.  Heather also has a strong aversion to fire, or Pyrophobia.  This could be due to the fact Alessa was burned alive as part of a ritual by the religiously fanatical Dahlia Gilesspie, Alessa's mother, who was believed to be murdered by Harry Mason, Heather's father.

Current Story:

It had been almost a year since those tragic and horrible events had taken place, yet Heather felt as though it were yesterday.

After killing the Order's demonic God, Heather tried to move on with her life.  She continued to attend school while living under the surrogate parenthood of Douglas Cartland, and eventually graduated at age eighteen.  It was when she was getting ready for her Fall Semester at Ashfield College that everything had once again took a turn...for the worse.

Douglas was found murdered in his appartment, his mangled, bloody corpse lying in the middle of the floor.  Painted in his blood on the walls, various occult sigils and...the Halo of the Sun.  Heather knew the Order had killed him and were once again after her.  Soon, the visions returned to Heather of Alessa, Claudia, and a newly rebirthed God.  Silent Hill was calling to her again.

But Heather had made the promise she would never step foot in that evil town ever again.  Nevertheless, the visions persisted as the town's wicked influence crept into her soul.  Before she knew it, she began hallucinating, believing the Otherworld was taking over Ashfield.

In truth, it was.

Heather had no choice but to return to Silent Hill, to lay to rest the past demons that kept haunting her.  But this time, there was no Douglas, no Father.  Heather was truly alone.
