I never said anything about new posts. My suggestion is that forum subscriptions only send notifications about new threads.

Eh, I don't think it'd be needed.


The same could be said for thread subscriptions, but we have them anyway.

My suggestion is that we take the already present ability to subscribe to individual threads and apply that concept to entire forums. For example, if someone wanted to be notified of new threads in one of the interest check forums they could go to that forum, hit the subscribe button, and be kept up to date on when new threads appear there.
