Men of the Internet! TRIPLE N IS OVER! The month was long and the challenge hard. To those who faltered, I wish you better luck next year. And to those who stayed strong, I say... enjoy your freedom!

Heheh, sorry I couldn't get a reply up today. Had a big D&D session tonight that I had to prepare for (a finale to a massive story arc). I almost even forgot to do my Neopets dailies until the last moment before the clock rolled over xD

It must be a big one if it nearly made you miss your Neopets dailies. I wish you well for tonight's session.
Skobeloff

"Is it, err, that obvious?" Rudrick with a small laugh as he set off down the corridor.

"Yep." Skobeloff replied blithely as he moved to follow the dragon.

"Yes, I haven't really had the opportunity to speak with Garrock in quite some time." Rudrick continued. "I've been trying to meet with him for a while, in fact, but he always seems to be otherwise occupied. I thought now would be a good time to try and clear the air as it were but, err..."

At Rudrick's hesitation, Skobeloff's head tilted just a little as he regarded the faltering dragon speculatively.

"I suppose he has just gotten back from a mission, and is probably very exhausted."

The frustrated strain to Rudrick's voice set Skobeloff's head into the motion of an empathetic nod. He had seen first hand how frustrating Garrock could be when he wanted to, and he imagined being related to the grumpy Warrior only did so much to make dealing with him easier.

"Well, it's fine." Rudrick concluded then with a bout of forced laughter. "I'm sure we'll get a chance to talk properly before he leaves."

"That chance will need to come quickly." Skobeloff informed Rudrick. "Garrock doesn't want to stay for long... What is it that you want to speak to him about exactly?"
Skobeloff

"Oh hello!" Rudrick said cheerfully as Skobeloff emerged from the room.

"Hi there!" Skobeloff replied with equal cheerfulness.

"Sorry, I don't believe I got any of your names before. Again, I'm Rudrick." Rudrick apologized with a small laugh.

"Don't worry about it. I forget to ask for names sometimes too." Skobeloff reassured the dragon. "Speaking of names, mine is Skobeloff."

"I don't know if Garrock mentioned me while you were all traveling together. Knowing him, probably not. He's pretty tight-lipped about... well, a lot of things, but especially things regarding himself."

"He didn't mention anything about you, but I managed to loosen his lips about a few things." The Myndoth Trickster said with a sly smile. "Back on the subject of you though, you seem like you've been wanting to speak to Garrock from the moment you first joined us."

Sorry, there's a reason why the module will not let me grant inspiration to anyone yet.

Oh? What's the reason?
Unfortunately, he does not.

@Guardian Angel Haruki

That's a Persuasion roll of 4 and an Animal Handling roll of 20.

Does Brutrumukk have Inspiration by any chance?
Brutrumukk

Brutrumukk sighed in relief along with the scarecrow as the bugbear gnome managed to prevent Jub from casting the spell.

That relief did not last long though.

"STOP! By order of King Gullop the Nineteenth, you are under arrest! Stop running!"

"Oh bugger!" Brutrumukk cursed as he watched the knights approach.

"Oh dear, well that simply won't do!"
"You'd best take a swamp gas balloon out of Downfall!"
"Unless you wanna end up like us! We can chat forever!"

"As much as I'd enjoy a trip down to Acheron, I'd much rather go on that trip as more'n just an 'ead." Brutrumukk commented. "Where can we get one o' these gas balloons?"

"You can grab a balloon and escape over there! Hurry!" The scarecrow answered while pointing out a nearby building.

"Cheers." Brutrumukk said before turning to Jub. "You 'eard the scarecrow, booyagh! 'Urry!"

As Jub got moving, the sound of birdsong met Brutrumukk's ears, giving the bugbear gnome an idea. Calling upon his newfound gift for speaking with small beasts, Brutrumukk began making sounds and performing gestures that would communicate to the birds that he would give them food if they helped him and Jub escape the knights and make it to the gas balloon.
Just small birds

That is precisely what I wanted to hear.
If horrific stuff can exist in Domains of Delight, who's to say goofy things and fun Musical Numbers like Barnaby's aren't possible in Domains of Dread?

You make a fair point.

Either way, I have a question. Can Brutrumukk hear any birds nearby?
Got a little inspiration for the Chase from this fun song I stumbled upon last night. XD

And now I know what Mordent would be like if it were a Domain of Delight rather than a Domain of Dread.
