In SoL, the 'goals' become the drama and interpersonal connections/histories players make with each other. Plus setting in in places like a school/college for example give you a timeline to work with.

Starting RPing at the tender age of 15 back when Bebo was a thing. A year later I found myself forum Roleplaying and haven't really looked back since. Over these past ten years I have done practically every kind of RP you could imagine from Nation RPs and Arena RPs to 1x1s and Large group RPs. My last RP hobby was fighting RPs, which I have now decided to leave behind in order to pursue more SoL style Rps. Outside of RP I am an aspiring writer, despite being terrible with words, as well as an avid gamer. If I am not on discord with the Guild or RPing in some way, I am probably on either my PlayStation or on Steam. Moved into D&D and ended up starting a podcast that has been an interesting journey. |

@LHudson I saw. The only thing you need to do is add your Relationship sheet but asides from that you are approved.
@codex don't worry about it, once @Old Amsterdam and @LHudson have completed their CS and Relationship sheets they will be posting their prologue posts. So it will be a while.

@Old Amsterdam As of right now no faction is really top heavy so you can join either.

@ihinka I like her. If you want to finish the relationship part, I would say that is perfect. Don't worry about justifying the Captain position in the CS, we can reveal all that in the RP. Once you have done the Relations bit feel free to post your first IC post :)
@Old Amsterdam I don't think it is too powerful in power respects, I think the issue I am having is it would give one side possibly too much if an advantage. At the start of this RP, it is going to be small groups of subterfuge, and having those kind of powers tilts the scales a little too much, so after reading if, I would push you to possibly try another power? That is if you are still interested. If not I understand.

@FrankenDaughter is amazing, and Codex has been helping make some graphics for the RP too. I am really pleased with the way the roster for this is turning out.
So from the top:
1)In terms of power i am currently allowing people to submit what they like and move from there. The only thing i would say, is that @Codex's character is supposed to be the strongest, so try to keep it lower than that, and usually only one ability.
2)There are no age limits, however i would give any character under 18 a higher bar, it's not something i am keen on, but if someone can convince me with a good CS, i will bite.
3)Time travel would be only no no, everything else; try and amaze me.
4)We are in 2017, as you see it today, Trump and all. So if you see it today, it is allowed.
5)There is no current conflict between tech and magic. I know that it is something that might become a thing, but if you need it to make the character you want, add it into the CS and if it works out we can implement it.
In summary, i really want to try and avoid dragging peoples creativity.
