So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

I don't thinks she'd have something like that. (Crystals are heavily regulated under Palpatine's Empire, as far as I've read. EXTREMELY hard to get a hold of.) Though having Saleen angrily intrude is always an option.

It's something a Hutt might be able to get through Black-Market means, but not something anyone else might have.

That is true, hiiighllyyy kept an eye on. Also a training saber isn't quite the same as a normal lightsaber. They're designed to give a shock and possibly burn but can't cut through anything.

Just a heads up.

Also you don't need to be injured to visit Tadia.
I'll wait until someone comes to the med bay, I don't really know what I can post that i haven't posted before.

Was probably McKay....
Sent you a PM @Elekrisk about your character. Couple of minor points though for your first sheet on the Guild it's pretty good.

I quite like how you balance the powers out. I'm here to help :P
I'm going to throw up a short answer.

You wing it, everyone has their own way but really you need to decide yourself. In terms of my own Crisis: Mars which bases around people gaining super powers in a futuristic colony on Mars people are running with what they want.

I have a plot on the top, and I'm kind of nudging, not pushing or shoving, them towards it. However I also am letting them know that there are consequences or rewards to their actions via the comments of the Watcher who right now is a mysteriou figure of unknown origin and unknown motive.

I think it's important to make people WANT to continue the plot, the more bored they are the more likely they are to try and derail things. At the same time you don't want to FORCE them along a certain path. They are players after all, not characters. You need to make it interesting and intriguing and I feel give them some time to perhaps go off to develop their own characters on their own.

Challenges you need to know the reward/consequence at the end and know how it's gonna play out. You also gotta give them hints (subtlely if possible to not ruin it) on how to solve it.

Longer than I meant it to be, bt I've said by bit. Farewell.
Casual is the only one I tend to bump. Though to be honest (I myself need to do this) I always think its nicer if a going RP has a new Recruitment thread and doesn't use the old IntChk if it's just looking to recruit.
<Snipped quote by Rilla>

The GM owns their thread, decides who is in and not in, and can essentially decide to kill off characters or kick people out. If they aren't breaking Guild rules, we tend to side with the GM.

On the other hand, players are just as able to talk to each other and start a new thread, so being tactful is a damned good idea -- players also own their characters (if they created them in the first place, anyway, but that's most players) or are playing canon characters that belong to neither of you. Just because they write one into your RP doesn't mean they are forking over the rights to you (and in the case trying to claim ownership of a canon character, you'll get laughed all the way to the door.) They might have to take out specific names that you came up with in your RP if they reference them, but otherwise, free and clear.

So yeah, they own the sandbox, but you can take your ball and leave the sandbox. It's not an East German sandbox with a big wall and barbed wire that forces people to stay. So it's a good idea, even as a GM with lots of power, to be a nice person, unless you want to just play with yourself all the time. I mean, if you don't already.

I know people are going to try to nitpick what was said, and I'm going to sort of head that off by saying -- consider the general principles being stated rather than trying to find ways around it. :)

True. In terms of my own Sandbox RPs I treat them like the likes of Fallout or Skyrim. I have an plot that is always "there" in a way. It doesn't go away. Though that doesn't stop people from going off and participating in their own little sidequests.

Though they have to realize, they can interfere in my plot I can interfere in theirs.

Though in terms of death, I always ensure that people know that over heroics/stupidity in those situations is likely to result in death.
