Character Origin & Backstory:Born Victor Von Doom as a Romanian Gypsy in Romania his mother was a sorcerer while his Father was an aide to the royal family. However everything changed after a monarch under his fathers care died due to illness. While it was no fault of his fathers they were forced to flee. He had already seen the worst of the country but now Victor being on the run saw a completely different aspect too it, and it disgusted him. However he was too young to truly understand and comprehend what was going on. His Mother trained him, as best she could for they faced many threats on the roads and there was something she had not told him.
On the eve of his tenth birthday, his mother disappeared. Currently camping in the wilderness there were no tracks, no signs that she had willingly left them or that she had been taken. She was just gone. His father never explained why, Victor suspected him in having a hand in it. The days turned into weeks, and into months. It was not until the dead of winter till Victor demanded his answer. Upon crossing a frozen crevice, the ice shattered and his father fell in. His arms grabbing on to the ice, Victor just turned to face his father and though he knew the best way to get his father, surveying the Ice and the way he had fallen in he did not move.
Confronting him, he demanded to know what his mother had been so worried about for she always had been when he tried to remember a time when she didn't seem to be looking over her shoulder. It wasn't until he began to slip that he confessed. He had talked Victors mother into signing a pact with Mephisto in order to take on Guardsmen who terrorized Gypsy camps throughout Latveria, however she discovered that for every guard she killed an innocent child in the village died. The compassionate soul that she was she renounced her power, Mephisto then appeared before her reminding her that her soul still belonged to him, and he would take it in his own time unless she decided to give him her son. She refused and Mephisto just vanished, that was until the eve of Victors tenth birthday where he kidnapped Victors mother.
Enraged at this prospect, that it had all been his fathers doing. He had given her the greatest burden to carry rather than trying to carry it himself, without thinking he let off a blast of dark magic shattering the ice and sending his father into the depths, where Victor presumes he died.
Alone in the wastes, he wandered on. Where near frozen to death he stumbled upon another Gypsy camp. Temporarily renouncing the name of Doom he lived a happy life. It was here that he met his first love Valeria and throughout his teen years the two were close. Learning magic from the few who taught it within the camp, and more importantly
studying. Once he had started it could not be stopped, it was as if his mind had a hunger for knowledge. After all, when it came to saving his mother mere magic wouldn't do it. It was time to update himself and the country and bring them on part with the rest of the world.
On hearing about the up and coming genius, wishing to increase the reputation off their university he was offered Scholarship at the University of New York. This is where he met Reed Richards, who tried to befriend him however Victor refused. He even tried to construct a dimensional teleporter, when Reed pointed out a flaw in the design Victor in his arrogance refused to believe it. How could he afterall make a mistake? This was his technology and his designs. He knew the physics and the maths. So when it failed, and caused an explosion he blamed Reed for interfering in his experiment however the damage was done.
He was expelled for "unethical" and "illegal" experiments, despite the fact that boundries had to be pushed for the continuation of science. He did not see people complaining about the
pretty boy and child prodigy Howard Stark, who quite often felt threatened by those who could rival him in both the fields of science and in terms of appearance so never hesitated to gloat about his wealth to Victor. This was made worse by his physical scarring, while minor made Doom hide his face. He was damaged, and the world had done that to him. Though he would make a new face, like he would make a new
better world.
Hearing word of a group of Tibetan Monks who dealt in magical affairs he travelled to their temple, where after months of meditation they helped make him a metal suit of armour. The last piece he insisted upon, in order to become an ideal and perfect he needed his face to be concealed behind a mask. Rather than merely attaching it to his face he had it placed onto his face while still red hot. If his face had not been imperfect before it certainly was now.
Returning to his home country he saw a chance to make a difference. While many in the country did not like the current Baron or the Monarchy due to the tensions in the region he felt he had to be very careful in how he took power of the country. Through clever assassinations, with no tie to him, disappearances and people fleeing the country there was eventually just the Baron himself. Doom, instead of just killing him started a revolutionary movement, though always keeping a hand in the shadows. Riling people up in the right places, an ensuring that nothing untoward would happen to his movement.
Within two years Doom sat on the throne.
He cares deeply for his country, trying to do what's best for it and it's people. Revolutionising Robotics himself to patrol the country and keep it safe from external and internal threats (Some of those internal threats can sometimes be due to differing opinions) and using them as a prime export for other countries Latveria has been experiencing an economic boom like it never has, and in the background Doom is planning to expand his reach. To gain more power, to make this a perfect world.
Powers:MagicDoom has trained in the mystical arts for many years, since he was a child. His mother taught him the basics, and then after her passing he devoted his life in order to become more powerful in a bled of technology and the mystical arts. He could fire magical blasts, create force fields. He can also currently perform some basic enchantments however without more training these abilities while powerful are not as strong as many other Sorcerers who have spent more years perfecting their art.
However, do not mistake these for parlor tricks. These abilities can easily kill regular people, and make fighting him a bitch.
TechnologySomething he has spent equally as long on as his magic arts is his mastery of technology, gaining himself a place within the ranks of Tony Stark and Reed Richards in terms of intellect (Though he himself believes himself superior). His armour is as strong as Iron Mans, and completely self sufficient. He is also capable of developing advanced weapons, and even robotic replicas of himself.
- His armour with or without magic is capable of expelling bolts of electricity.
- His armour can also generate a force field.
Abilities:Super-Genius class IntelligenceAs mentioned above he is on the level of intelligence off Tony Stark and Reed Richards. To date he has already created several advanced inventions, though mainly he has worked on his armour, shielding and weapons he has also worked on robotics creating A.I so sophisticated that his "Doombots" can be used as body doubles. Like his old rival Reed Richards he is also working on trying to crack Dimensional Travel, seeing it as the gateway into cracking time travel.
Doom specializes in physics, robotics, cybernetics, genetics, weapons technology, biochemistry, and dimensional travel. He also has natural talents for leadership, strategy, politics, and manipulation.
Diplomatic Immunity:As the leader of a sovereign nation, Doctor Doom often visits the United States or the United Nations for political reasons. He enjoys diplomatic immunity during these trips, and his embassy is considered foreign soil.
Hand to Hand CombatThrough time, patience and training (That at times required no small sum of money) he has trained with some of the best swordsmen on earth and with various other instructors to become proficient in armed and un-armed combat.
Story Arcs:These are just three concepts, I have more written down somewhere-Politics: While he officially has diplomatic immunity (Unless he is called to court for War Crimes) there is still a lot of politics that he needs to get involved in. Which is difficult for a man of his position.
-Latveria Prosperity: Latveria while contested has little in way of natural resources, and Doom only ever strives to make the country better. How will he do this? Though not only does he need to think about the economy but he has to think about all the threats surfacing in the world.
-Heart of Doom: He once had love, how will she view him now?
-Dooms World: World Domination, duh. Though I think he may be stopped.
-A Mothers Love: Finally having the power he will travel to meet Mephisto to win back his mothers soul, however what price will he pay? How will she react?
-Death of Doom: When Doom has severe head trauma much of his past is forgotten, what will happen to this new Doom who only remembers his life as a student and a ruler and a complete personality twist makes him no longer strive to take over the world. Though part of him wishes to regain his memories, especially as some of his intellect has been lost during the injury.
-Throne of Doom: He took the throne, and disposed of most of the family.

Sample Post:"Do you have any proof though Director Fury?" Doom could smile under his mask, it was always at this moment where he had his opponent in his grasp that he enjoyed the most. Once again allegations were flying at him as S.H.I.E.L.D were
inquiring about activities going on concerning the sale of his doombots. It was a political game, and one Fury was poorly equipped to play, though in the end how could he not be outmatched? He was against Doom after all.
"No we don't, Sir-" Such spite in the use of the word Sir. There was no respect in it, there was loathing and hate. Fury had played this game with Doom many times, Doom could almost feel sorry for him. However this was precisely why he refused to speak to anyone else
except Fury when it came to dealings with S.H.I.E.L.D. Being the ruling monarch of a country had its advantages after all. "-However your robots are being used by several criminal groups-"
Doom raised his hand in a gesture to stop. "I'll have to stop you there Director. You know full well that I do not personally oversee every sale, however I can assure you that all our clients are vetted to ensure that they will not cause harm to any of our allies either in Europe or overseas-"
allies, as if they were on par with Doom. "-Do you blame Tony Stark for when his weapons were used against U.S. Forces?"
Doom had him, and Fury knew it. "No but-" Doom raised his hand again. "I am sorry Director, however this seems entirely unfair and judgmental. Just because we are a fledgling country, you feel you can bully us around and sell only to you. However I will not stand for it, and if I hear off this again I will be sure to bring it to the attention of the UN when I meet with them, and on speaking about the UN I will require an escort." He could see that Fury was already thinking on what he could be up to. While to the public Victor Von Doom was nothing but a caring monarch several heroes who decided to poke their noses in his affairs often caught wind of some of his plans, though never enough to bring him to any form of trial as he had diplomatic immunity it would take a war tribunal to do so.
"An escort Sir?" The silence was broken.
"Yes, there have been several breaches in my perimeter and while I have been able to combat these threats outside of my borders where I have less control of the variables I require an escort who knows the lay of the land better than I to keep myself safe. Will this be suitable?" Fury almost groaned, he could tell. "Yes Sir, anything else."
"No thank you." With a wave of the hand the transmission was gone, and he turned to the table behind him where he was working on some of his latest designs. He had to be ready.
