So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

"We all knew this moment was coming. We knew that everything we did, would never be enough. Federation and Conglomerate joined together giving the world a sense of unity it has never before seen, it was not enough. We have lost contact with Admiral Constantine, who took the combined Martian and Earth fleets to confront the Devastators. Genesis protocol is now in effect, we are leaving Earth. We are trusted with the burden to continue humanities legacy out in the stars. There can be no turning back."

This roleplay is set in a (hopefully) fictitious future, where in the year 2196 experiments with a new type of faster than light (FTL) technology resulted in an attack by an alien race which tore through our defenses in the Three Day War only stopped by a joint defense in the orbit of Mars lead by Admiral Roland Constantine. After the war humanity banded together like never before, all factions uniting under the banner of the United Earth Council. Ten grueling years past, leaps in technology from shielding technology to artificial intelligence were abundant all in the hopes of preparing for the next wave. Nobody was of the impression that they wouldn't return, when deep space scanners detected them amassing a fleet far larger than the one that decimated our system a plan had to be concocted as despite advances in technology there was no way Humanity could survive such an onslaught.

Project Genesis was concocted in secret, 12 Arks would be constructed to ensure humanity survived. Filled with the best and brightest humanity had to offer, each ship capable of hosting 100,000 waking people with a further 500,000 in cryogenic stasis. At the same time a hyperspace gate would be built in orbit, sending each Ark to a different distant solar system to minimize the chance of being followed or the possibility of sending the Arks into a dangerous system. Each Ark built with the best technology, the best resources humanity had to offer however the labor was mainly done by robots and trusted individuals to reduce panic. As soon as the cryogenic bays were completed healthy young individuals were chosen from the population at random and brought aboard the ships in secret.

10 Years later, with the Devastator fleet on the move again Project Genesis was made public, riots happened as expected however many people seemed to understand the necessity of their sacrifice. Admiral Constantine, a hero of humanity delivered the address and promised that he would lead all military units willing to fight against the Devastators. Not one member of the military went A.W.O.L, or asked to be released from service. In the mean time the best servicemen were assigned to the Arks, as well as Scientists from all fields, historians, doctors and engineers.

The Vitae, our Ark and our home. Left Earth five years ago, with no sign of a habitable planet tensions begin to rise on the Ark. Divisions between members of the four nations is rising, political unrest growing at the lack of a democractic society. How will you ensure humanities continued survival?

In this Roleplay we'll start with a Prologue as the Devastators make their attack, and the Vitae escapes into the void, simply as I feel it's an incredibly important and interesting part of the story. After that we'll be skipping five years, to where we are now. With our characters trying to do all they can to try and keep humanity in one piece.

You may have some questions. Feel free to ask them, I've ran this roleplay in the past (before Real Life got in the way) so while there is room for those of you who are creative and like to world build there is already a lot of canon available to you all.
@Dedonus well in my defense I didn't see Maximum when I gave that suggestion, it's two months old and was probably opened when I left.

Also guess who actually has enough time to RP.

This guy, for reasons I won't bore you with. But with all this talk I'm gonna hold off the Cap'ness.
@Dedonus I did not realize there was one currently running.

Also I meant more A New Frontier style.
If this was rebooted, with the permission of @Dedonus I'd probably pick up Hulk again but only Hulk and keep him solo till my time is more liberal.

Mission Log, Rancor Company, Cpt.Thereon: It's been four months since the battle of Endor, a lot of soldiers felt that with the fall of the Emperor and Darth Vader that the Empire would just lay down and roll over. It's doing anything but that, though it is fractured and weakened. High ranking Imperials form their own little enclaves, or surrender to the 'New Republic' in the hopes of a good deal. We had come to Taris under that pretense three months ago. Governor Arold Venuti promised us his Star Destroyer as well as control of the system, it didn't go to plan. We dropped out of hyperspace and as we entered orbit the trap was sprung, TIE Interceptors burst out of the skyscrapers as ships dropped out of hyperspace cutting of our escape.

We lost more than half our company that day. Ever since then we've been working on two goals, contact the New Republic and take out the Governor who did this to us. Though both have proven difficult, and it is unlikely we're going to get anywhere until we find a way to liberate the planet before we can contact our own forces and nobody has seen the Governor since before we got here.

The Imperials keep closing in on our location, the local populance so far seems largely unwilling to help with the exception of a couple of Rebel Cells but they need more time to be trained and equipped than we have. The New Republic is surely to send a scouting party sooner or later, but with all that's going on in the Galaxy it's hard to know when. Though we're getting desperate, and it doesn't take a genius to know that if things don't change soon that we're not going to make it off Taris alive. End Log.

Welcome:

Welcome to Star Wars - Desperation. As you may have read this Roleplay takes place on the planet Taris in the months following the Battle of Endor and for continuity sake we're going to be following the current Movie/Book/TV/Comicverse of Star Wars, as in we're not going to be following Legends. Though like the aforementioned continuity we can borrow from Legends so long as it doesn't cause any contradictions.

We're going to be playing characters on the world of Taris during the final days of the Galactic Civil War, Rebels (or members of the fledgling 'New Republic') were caught off guard in a trap and are now stuck on the surface, on the run and outnumbered hoping to gather more support so they can liberate Taris, find a way off world or contact the fleet. The Imperials are trying to hang on to everything they can, they know the Battle of Endor was lost but to give up now would likely result in dire consequences. These desperate times has made them crueler than ever.

Possible Questions:

Can I be a filthy Rebel New Republic person? Why yes, yes you can.
Can I be a filthy Imperial? Why yes, yes you can.
Can I be a filthy Jedi? Why no, no you cannot.
Can I be a filthy Force User of some description/ex-Jedi/ex-Inquisitor? Subject to sheet, which will be Pm'd to moi after sheets are done.

Sep, what are we going to be doing? This will be plot driven, but also partially sandbox (within the confines of Taris). For the New Republic it's going to be simpler than it is for the Imperials, or at least initially. The further down the rabbit hole you go, the more that will be revealed.

Sep, can I ask questions? Well you already did, but if you mean a question on the RP. Sure, go for it.

I like that people like this.
