[Shiny Keldeo]

Welcome! If you're reading this, than you decided to drop by for a visit and check out my profile! If not, then why are you still reading this right now?

The name's Keldeo, Shiny Keldeo. I joined the Guild about a two years ago after my first forum fizzled out. I thought I knew what I was doing with Roleplay when I came on the scene, when in reality I had barely scratched the surface of what I had to learn.

My first few RPs went bust, but with each failure I gained valuable experience to learn from, and eventually I started up a fairly successful RP known as Digimon: As the Lights Fade. However, it eventually went bust as over half the RPers, including my Co-GM, poofed and dropped without much warning.

Then came two of my longest running RPs. Pokemon: Legendary Guardians and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Shadows of the Past. Both were filled with great characters and I made a ton of new RP friends in them. Sadly, too many problems arose in both, and I was forced to shut them down.

I wasn't done with Legendary Guardians, however, and rebooted it to try my hand at it once more. So far, it's still going strong, thanks to dedicated people like Ninian and Light Lord, who've helped it stay alive through it all. I'm still not done yet, there's still more creative genius in me waiting to be tapped into!

Roleplay Information

I like to stick to Casual mostly. I've never tried anything in Advanced, but I just can't do anything in Free. I like to include way more dialog and information in my posts than I can post in Free.

I usually prefer to RP with Multiple Characters. It's easier for me to say more and do more, whether that being a Digidestined with a Digimon, a Pokemon Trainer with their Pokemon, or multiples of either.

Speaking of which, there are several subjects to which I usually work with in RP. The biggest being Pokemon. I'm up for (almost) anything, Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, or just being a normal Trainer is completely fine with me. Other interests include Digimon, Star Wars, and various other subjects that would be too numerous to name here.

So just wanted to say here that I don't think this is dead yet. I've been busy IRL, along with rebooting an older RP, and having to deal with a collab that just didn't quite get off the ground. Hopefully this can get back on track now though.

Just as the battle was going to commence, a call to the twins rang around the corner. "Rico! Lulu!" The twins stopped and looked out the door. Running in where Lulu's friends Peach, Flare, and Lyla. They looked terrified. "Oh wow, you guys look like you saw a hoard of Ghost Types, what happened?" The three Pokemon rushed over to them. Peach spoke up first.

"We... we went out to Lilac Meadow, like we always do. But... something was wrong... it had a really weird vibe, much weirder than i've ever felt. Then... we... we were attacked! I couldn't tell what, I'd never seen any Pokemon like them before, but we took off running. By the time we got back here to town, we realized... Krissy wasn't there!" The twins were in shock. Lilac Meadow was one of the safest places around the Village, and some Pokemon had taken up root there, and they had Krissy!

"We have to do something, Rico!" Rico looked over to his sister and nodded, then looked back to Zaru and Milton. "Sorry, looks like our battle is gonna have to wait. Let's go Lulu!" Lulu nodded and looked over to her friends. "Lead the way, we'll protect you, don't worry." The trio nodded, and the group took off towards the south gate of town.

Spirit and Omen looked at each other. "I know, I'll watch over them. You worry about getting the town ready, it'll be the tenth anniversary in two days, everything has to be ready." With that he was gone, out the door and out of sight, just like that Absol...

"You're pretty trusting to spat our your entire moveset, ya know. If someone were to stab us in the back, we'd be completely screwed if we blabbed about what we knew. I prefer to keep mine on a need to know basis, as in you'll know if I use it." The Beartic, Machamp, and Hippowdon nodded in agreement.

"But so, we know our opponent. Rayquaza... what have we signed on for... No, I can't think like that. We need to know our advantages and disadvantages in this fight. Rayquaza is Dragon and Flying, so Beartic will be super powerful against that. So will Drago, but he'll also be weak to Rayquaza. Machamp should hang back, unless you know Ice Punch. The rest of us should just be distractions, doing little bits of damage but drawing attention away from the heavy hitters. Everyone agree on that?" The Beartic, Hippowdon, and Machamp nodded. The Bisharp looked to Valentine and Drago, awaiting an answer from them.

Well, he'd at least partially gotten his message across. The arguing had stopped, but he was concerned about a few of the trainers as they set off on their journeys, particularly the fresher ones, like the upstart brat with the oddly colored Duskull. She had no interest in making any kind of friend, it seemed. That could be dangerous, especially during such a troubling time in Viore... not that anyone realized this of course. To the naked eye, Viore was the usual PokeManiac Paradise. If only they could see what lay beneath...

He wouldn't dwell on it. He had other things to do, he'd gotten distracted as is. He turned to the uniform clad girl once more. "Please take what I tell you to heart. Only you can decide how your journey goes, how you and your Pokemon grow. There's no set path for a trainer to follow. If all else fails, just follow your heart." He closed his eyes and turned, calmly walking down the street. He could feel the battling spirit in one of his Pokeballs. "I know, maybe next time. We haven't gotten a good challenge in far too long..."

[Several Minutes Later...]

He now overlooked New Amber Town, his stay had been brief. He'd heard of troubling news coming from the triangle of Riviera, Dorado, and Lilac as of late. Someting so close to home... he wouldn't have it. Events were beginning to unfold before him that had been prophesied since ancient days. Something he wished would never have come. "Well, it's a long road ahead of us, let's get moving." He clutched one of his Pokeballs in his hand, tossing it into the air revealing a massive hulking form, a Feraligatr. Around it's neck a special brace, within it was an odd gem. The Feraligatr began walking steadily alongside his trainer.

It had been several minutes since the Professor had disappeared into the back room. Finally, he revealed himself carrying two miniature computer devices, one Orange one Green. "I had to find just the right colors to fit you two, but here you go. These are the Viore Model Pokedexes." He placed them in their respective hands, and they looked at the vital devices. They greatly resembled the Kalos Model Pokedex, but it didn't seem to open...

"If you're confused on how to use it, try scanning your Pokemon. Just point it at the Pokemon you want to scan and click the red button on the side there." Brent was the first to try it, scanning Lily's Chikorita. A hologram appeared above the Pokedex, showing a 3D model of the Pokemon and displaying it's typing and important info around it. "Chikorita, the Leaf Pokemon. Chikorita emits pleasant aromas from the leaves on their heads and they love to sunbathe. They are also one of the three starter Pokemon common in the Johto Region." The device said in a feminine voice.

"Wow, how neat. Let me try!" Said Lily, pointing the device at Brent's Cyndaquil. "Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokémon. Normally mild and even tempered, Cyndaquil will shoot a scorching flame out of its back when upset. It is also one of the three starter Pokemon common in the Johto Region." It replied in the same feminine voice.

"Now, these Pokedex's have more importance than just an encyclopedia, be it may it is it's primary function. It also serves as your Viore Region Trainer's ID, which you will need to register for the Viore League or Viore Grand Festival and begin collecting the necessary badges or ribbons for those." Professor Maple explained. He pulled out a Blue Pokegear, looking at the clock. "Ah, 2:48. If you'll excuse me, I have to prepare for our departure. Good luck on your journeys! If you have any more questions, my aids should be able to help you." The Professor waved goodbye, and returned to the back room, backpack in hand.

"Well... now what should we do?" Asked Lily, turning to Brent. "Well, that all depends. What are you planning to do here in Viore?" Lily turned and gave a wide grin. "I'm going to take on the Viore League! I don't know how far I'll get, but it'll be a lot of fun I know it!" Brent lit up a little hearing that. "Well, just so happens I am too! We could go together if you want, my brother Ryan always says journeys are much more fun with friends by your side." Lily thought about it for a bit. She had just met him, but she had to admit they had become fast friends. It just felt... right.

"Sure! It'll make the journey way more fun!" Well, that settled that. "Alright! Oh, by the way, I'm guessing you have a Pokegear, right? I mean, who doesn't these days?" Lily nodded, pulling out a Pink colored Pokegear. "Let's get each other's Phone Numbers then." The two exchanged Phone Numbers, then Lily tried pulling up a map of Viore. "Uh oh, I forgot, I still haven't updated my Pokegear with the Viore Region Map and such." Brent nodded and motioned to the door. "The Pokemon Center should be able to update that for you, let's head over there now. The crowds should be broken up by now too."

The two started outside, but halfway down the steps they looked down the road they had come down and saw the stream of trainers coming their way. The ones that stood out the most were what appeared to be a trio of trainers with a massive amount of Pokemon out. For some reason, instead of taking a different route, they waited. They couldn't explain it if they tried, but something told them to wait and meet these new trainers.
Most Likely they will just be revealed as the RP progresses. Most of the Mega Stones haven't exactly been found/recovered as of yet.
Something I kind of forgot to mention: This will feature several Custom/Fan Made Mega Evolutions, Formes, and Items. I already have a good group gathered and created, and will be revealing them as the RP progresses.

Also, I will be using several characters that have appeared in the Anime but haven't been looked at in literal years. Examples being characters like Ritchie from Indigo League and Johto Arc, the Characters from The Legend of Thunder, and several characters that have just been tossed aside and forgotten about as the series progressed.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, just ask.

The group walked into the now almost empty lobby of the lab. Near the back was a young man packing a large backpack. "Yes, yes, one moment please. Oh this time of year, new trainers coming left and right..." He said, his attention completely on the task ahead of him. Brent's father shrugged. "Too busy to say a proper hello these days, Edward?" The man stopped and turned, a smile coming across his face. "Ah, Leon, it's about time you showed up! And... no way, is that Brent?"

Brent stepped forward and waved. "It's been a long time, I think. I'm finally ready to start my journey today!" The Professor's smile widened. "Wonderful! It's great when I can see fresh trainers off on their first journey, something that can shape their lives forever... oh, and what about you? You wouldn't be his sister would you?" He asked, looking at Lily.

"Oh, no no no no no. My name's Lily, Lily Meadows. I just flew in from Johto and kinda bumped into them, so I came with them here." The young professor nodded. "Ah, I see then. Judging by your age, you'll be going on your first journey as well, correct?" Lily nodded. "I would have gone through Johto, but this place seemed full of way more adventure and mystery."

The Professor beamed. "Ah, and right you were. So many ancient secrets that remain hidden across Viore, endless journeys and mysteries are abundant here! But I don't want to yammer. Leon, you should head back to the trucks, we'll be leaving any minute now. I'll return in a moment with your Pokedex's." The Professor vanished into a back room, with Brent's father following behind. "Good luck on your Journey, Brent. You too, Lily." Then he too disappeared behind the doors.

It had been a long time since he'd been here... it seems things never change. Trainer after trainer stepped out of the airport, heading which ever way they went. Although the nostalgia was refreshing, he wasn't there for sightseeing. Times were changing again, things were becoming more dangerous. It seemed like everything was fine here, so he headed over to the Pokemon Center.

That's when things got interesting. There was a growing group of trainers gathering just outside the Pokemon Center. Arguments were beginning to arise. It seemed to be between several different groups, concocted of veteran and fresh trainers. One girl looked like she was ready for the military than being a trainer, but clearly had no clue how to BE a trainer.

Another looked to be a Coordinator, he never really understood the appeal of contests during his journey, but to each his own. An older trainer with a Blaziken had caught his attention, he carried a Keystone. Interesting... There was another boy, a year or two older than him. He had a collection of Pokemon with him. A quite clearly upstart brat of a girl was near the center of the arguments. Then there was a boy who looked like he was ready for the blizzard of the century, and a girl who, dispite her age, had a Dragonite with her.

He was confused at first, but listened carefully to the ensuing conversations. The girl in uniform caught his attention the most. "Excuse me, but I can tell you're quite confused about being a trainer." He walked through the group, eventually facing her. "There's nothing set in stone about the best way to train your Pokemon, to bond with them. It's all about the path you take, the experiences you share together as partners. The path is long and difficult, and only you will know what the right path is."

He turned to the rest of the group around him. "Now, let's not have so much arguing. When trainers meet, they become friends and rivals. The goal isn't to become enemies. Let the town keep its peaceful demeanor at least." He said all of this with the air of a veteran, experienced trainer. A glimmer of sunlight glanced off his Mega Ring Keystone on his finger, a full set of six Pokeballs glimmering on his belt. "If all else fails, why not have battles with one another? I find there's no better way to learn about a person, one on one to make it completely fair."
@Dynamo Frokane About your post, you need an official Pokedex given to you by a Professor to challenge Gyms in most if not all regions. That's been set in stone in the Anime I'm pretty sure. I could accept that the Pokedex Model you put in your post was the one you were given, but one would have expected you to have at least the Sinnoh Dex since you came from Sinnoh and such.
My characters haven't had much interaction at this point. And for now I've just got them headed towards the lab to pave the way for the rest of you to follow.

And I will say, having a Pokedex is VITAL in the Viore Region. Without one, you won't even be recognized as an official Pokemon Trainer, and thus will be unable to compete in the Viore League or the Viore Grand Festival, or collect the Gym Badges or Ribbons required for each. This way the Pokedex kind of serves a bigger purpose than being an encyclopedia for Pokemon.

And I've kind of got an idea for as the story Progresses, maybe Devon, Celes, Brent, and Lily could travel together as a foursome. They'd work well together, three fresh faces and one with some good experience, each learning from one another. @Ninian @Light Lord

[New Amber Town - Airport Street]

As they passed the Pokemon Center, the group continued to grow and grow. Lily guessed some people didn't take the message in the airport seriously or something. Almost out of earshot, a bit of arguing began it sounded like. They were already on their way, though, so she didn't dare stop and try to eavesdrop. "So, I'm guessing you know what this Professor Maple guy is like. What is he like?" Brent turned to the green haired girl as the kept walking.

"He's... different. Most Pokemon Professors center their research around Pokemon. That became a kind of side hobby to him though. His real passion is Archaeology." His father chuckled. "Passion is an understatement. He's a maniac about ruins, and Viore is a Ruin Maniac's Paradise. There are tens of hundreds of undiscovered ruins spread across Viore, and he wants to find them all." Lily let this sink in. She new Professor Elm in New Bark Town studied Pokemon Evolution, was one of the top Evolution Researchers in the world even. She wouldn't have thought the best Pokemon Researcher in Viore only researched Pokemon on the side.

"Not only that, but he's one of the youngest Pokemon Professors in the world." His father nodded. "Yep. He's only twenty-one years old, and he's a genius on Pokemon, especially the legends aspect of them. He himself has managed to translate every known Viorian Legend from our ancient script, something that was almost impossible. He's found links to many Legendary Pokemon in them."

"He's also started studying Mega Evolution since a few months ago, If I remember right." Brent finished. So, a Ruin Maniac, Pokemon Prodigy, a History and Legends Buff, and now he studies Mega Evolution. This guys sounds amazing! "Wow, I can't wait to meet this guy then!" Brent's father chuckled yet again. "It's hard to catch him in his lab. He's there for a few days, then he's back out looking for undiscovered ruins. Just so happens we're heading out on an expedition today."

"And since I'm old enough to start my Pokemon Journey, he brought me along to get my Pokedex. You see, he's basically Prof. Maple's right hand man." Brent's father stopped and pointed to a large ovular building atop a grassy hill just ahead of them. "There's his lab, if you can even call it his. Let's not keep him waiting."

They came to the stairway that led up to the building. There were already quite a few people leaving who had come before them. A girl with an Espeon, a boy with a Typhlosion, another girl with a Kadabra and one with a Misdreavus. There were quite a few others as well, but these few stood out the most because their Pokemon were out of their Pokeballs. But now, it was their turn to get their new Pokedexes.
