It wouldn't be unusual to carry auxiliary equipment like actual smoke bombs, and as said, Steam is pretty close. It would suit your character too, though personally I'd put a maximum use on it, since your character is at the point where you really have to ask yourself... "Is this too much?" The guy is packed full with everything, rifle, sword, dagger/pistol side-arm, a Semblance that not only buffs his own capabilities and allows him to track, but also summons a wolf pack.

I think you should stop there with intrinsic capabilities and consider what extra equipment like smoke bombs and flash bangs you can bring along.

"I see... Akane, draw the knight away. Sato, Kotori, clear a path for me to the pot", so the idea was going to do it all at once. Rui had a Gale Slash ready to cut through the projected wave that would emerge to defend the pot, the knight was the only rogue element. If Akane was careful she could keep it busy for long enough for the pot to be dealt with.

"I'll take care of this pot, it might be the source of this small swarm of shadows", a scan could confirm, but that would take some time, regardless it was going to be a good idea to take care of it now.

As the knight charged in, it was met with a stiff defense, and punishment. The Debilitate from Mako was really taking effect as its speed, power, and its defenses crumbled, yet another Mazio came out from Kami as everyone laid on as much damage as they could in this short space of time. It worked, causing the knight to go stumbling back,

"Not enough, significant damage but it's still standing",

"So another wave then... Also these ghosts just won't let up", he was right, they kept coming back no matter how often Kami destroyed them. The Debilitate helped a lot, so this didn't seem to be too difficult a fight. Ayano still didn't have proper visual, so she couldn't properly scan the ghosts to figure out the source, so for now the pressure was still on and all they can do is counter-attack. If they go too far it becomes difficult for Kami to cover them with Mazio.

"Well this academy is new, I guess it's natural they'd want us to like it as much as possible", he commented as they poured into the hall. He wasn't new to this kind of scene, he was always dragged to parties by his parents along with his sisters, they enjoyed it, he didn't, those were always so stiff, but this was a lot more his speed. No one here seemed to be pretending to be anything.

By the time Julio turned to speak to Asher about getting in line before the food ran out, Asher was already gone. He would turn and see Asher already in line with a plate. He was hungry, and packed his plate with loads of meats and fried foods, along with a small portion of vegetables of his choice.

If you came like, 2-3 days sooner, this would be so much simpler because we've just established teams. There's very few of us, so most teams are actually NPCs.

I think our only concern is how you'll be placed in a team. Being a solo player with three NPCs doesn't sound like too much fun, having at least one other player would be suitable.

Asher couldn't help but smile a bit being handed the position, but at the same time he was part bit apathetic to the decision, and part thinking "what else was there to expect?". Regardless he seemed to take the decision in stride, as the grand master had described, he did have a good mind for tactics and was indeed quite confident in his combat capabilities, and he had the skills to show it. Question was whether or not he'd actually make a good leader, his only experience with this was when he kind of sort of led a gang of hoodlums, he didn't make any gang, they kind of just gravitated to his strength, as that was what mattered on the streets.

He turned to his team congratulating him and doing the usual pleasantries, so he thought he should too,

"Yeah, I guess that means we're all stuck together for a few years then?", he didn't look as thrilled as the others, but only time will tell how he fits into his position. When he thinks about 'working together', all he can think of is how everyone can contribute to the team, their skills and whatnot.

"Well, we should figure out our team... Dynamic, so to speak. Not now though, right now I'm hungry", that and, they needed to pick up the keys. He was probably going to take that... If there was anything new he learned being picked up by the Brandt family, it was that responsibility was an important thing, so he figured this was part of his responsibility as leader,

"After that, I'll pick up the keys and we can head to our dorm afterward".

After the ceremonies for those teams were done, his was the third up. He recognized everyone who went up with him... Most familiar to him, regardless he stepped up to the stage. There was not much else to do but wait for the team name and leader to be announced, and then dinner. That said he disliked needing to wait for food, usually he'd sneak out to go to his favorite stall, but that was not a luxury afforded to him while he was here.

I think we had at most 5 people splitting up, with one kind of randomly gone, so we may end up with a total of 2 groups of 2.

So, in the Dune Town group, who will be splitting up to where? Rylen is heading the same way as Hotaru, to pick up a Golett, or something else maybe.
