I will go ahead and post a character sheet template here tonight at some point. Look for the OP on Thursday (though if more time is needed/preferred let me know), we should be able to rope our fifth person by then. 🙏
I know we're not making statted out characters, but do you have a rough idea of what 'level' you think characters should be?

I would say in the range of level’s 6-8, regarding scope of abilities.
hmmmmm

Following the disbanding of the League of Silver Marches the region of Luruar has stood divided for near a decade now. While the great cities hold steadfast against the dangers of the far north the various smaller settlements and hamlets of the frontier must often fend for themselves. Such is the fate of the town of Deadsnows sitting at the feet of the foreboding Nether Mountains. Threatened by orcs, goblins, dragons, and other menaces the folk of Deadsnows are always vigilant and never stray far from their walls. The roads are just as dangerous, only the bravest travelers walk “the Fork”. You are one such traveler daring the far reaches of Faerûn. Weary from your journey and seeking shelter from the cold you have arrived in Deadsnows.

You find that the people are without welcoming words and kind smiles, a grim aura resonating in the air. Facing food shortage and constant attacks across the countryside morale is low and the town watch are pressed to retain order, the Seneschal having naught to offer locked away in his manor. A sinister shadow presides over Deadsnows misfortune, the eyes of tyrants have come to rest on what they see as theirs to be dominated. Willing or not you will find yourself swept up in the coming events. Will you seek to help the people, muster riches for yourself, or merely survive?

This RP is set in the D&D Forgotten Realms universe - or “The Realms” as it is also known. Our tale takes us to the town of Deadsnows, an isolated settlement in Old Delzoun, a region on the far northern frontier of Faerûn. Players will start off in Deadsnows and from there can journey about the region visiting locations such as The Fork, the Nether Mountains, the ruins of Ascore, and so on. Deadsnows itself currently has a range of problems from a lack of leadership to a food shortage which has lead to unrest among the people. Not to mention the usual attacks by aggressive beasts and bands of goblins and orcs. As suggested above this series of occurrences is not coincidental but the work of malevolence, the machinations of those who would seek to subjugate Deadsnows and it’s people. You and those like you must choose to merely survive and tend to your own affairs or take up the mantle and help the people from the coming storm.

Further detail will be provided via query as well as when the official thread/OP is posted. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have! Below is a listing of rules and guidelines as well as some “resources” (wikis) for those who wish to familiarize themselves with Deadsnows, The Silver Marches, and the rest of the surrounding area. These are after all locations that will be visited in the RP. The official thread/OP will have further details as well as other features, for now I am focused on gathering those interested and providing any requested clarity. I will also add that any helpful suggestions are welcome!

• General guild rules and expectations apply.
While not tabletop, this RP is set in the current edition timeline. (5E, Current Year 1495 DR)
• Players begin with a single character. An additional character may be created later. Players will have a maximum of two characters allowed.
• Players are expected to notify OP of any extensive absence so that we may work something feasible out. If players wish to drop out I consider it a courtesy to let me know.
• Godmodding, flaming, metagaming, bullying, and general harassment and poor conduct will not be tolerated.
• Typical post length expectation will range from three to six paragraphs - five to eight sentences - although I do realize that certain circumstances will mandate less content than others. That said, one liners and low effort posts will not be acceptable.
• Graphic violence is permitted though I would prefer we not go full Michael Bay, please.
• Character intimacy/relationships are permitted but any sexual content must fade to black. NSFW content and graphic sexual descriptions will not be tolerated.

For those who want to further familiarize themselves with the region. This will be further expanded later. Ask me any questions you may have!

SCARLET SHADOW
红色阴影

This is probably the stupidest gamble I’ve taken in… some time.

Scarlet Shadow had no intention of leaving with these tattooed men and their leader. The heart at this point was lost to her and while beyond displeased she knew when it was time to bail. Even as the goons made their way across the rope to her she glanced back to the man holding the device. It’s a bluff. All the big talk is to just try and cement his position. The rope could be cut easily and the two goons sent hurtling down below, but even then there was the risk that the master thief would just take a bullet or crossbow bolt to the back while scrambling back toward the vent.

Gāisǐ…

Scarlet Shadow turned, twisting about as if to take the hand of the lead man on the rope. But she did not. The master thief put all her force into a hard vault and instead sailed back over the two men, twisting midair as she came down. There was a glint of metal followed by the snap of the rope. A blade in her left hand Scarlet Shadow gripped onto the tightrope with the other, swinging downward just above the inferno and then arcing up, the two goons meanwhile hurtling down toward their death. After jumping she had swiftly cut the rope between her and the two men while grabbing hold of the end that stretched across the chasm.

The rope made an upward swing on the opposite side, the hard descent and rise having enough force to give Scarlet Shadow the room to let free and summersault down toward the platform. No sooner had her feet hit the platform floor than the thief “disappeared” in a streak, the detonator yanked free from the hand of it’s owner a second later.
