They say it's about the journey, not the destination. This is true of many things. Pizza delivery is not one of them.

TFW you know what you want to happen but the words aren't cooperating. Why is plot suddenly so much harder to write?

Glad to see I'm not the only follower of Lord Cato, god of wisdom, on this most auspicious Superb Owl Sunday.

Bio

I am an adult, though I don't usually act like it. I'm a voracious reader, and not overly picky about books. I am artistic in a variety of areas, including music, drawing, writing, and sculpting. I have a minor obsession with dragons, and love the color violet. Fantasy is my preferred genre, be it past, future, urban...as long as it has a fantasy flavor to it. I also like scifi, mystery, and some horror. I am crazy, and I like tormenting my characters. But I don't bite...much. ^.~

@Scout I read it now because I suck at self control. I like this Asta! A rather different life from that I imagined for the tribe Amune's father came from, but that could be due to living in different areas. And she wants to see the world and ends up not in the best place, then it gets better, but she slips up....I very much like her. ^.^ It'll be interesting to see what Amune thinks. My guess is that she's most used to Ydrans that are like those from her father's tribe, who interact with Murans a lot and are likely a little less rough, though certainly there are hunters and fighters among them, and many have at least basic training in self defense (not to mention survival skills!) That means Asta will be strange, to her way of seeing. Should be fun!
*cracks up*

@Scout *tackleglomp* Scouty! Welcome back~ S'good t' see ya 'round. *wiggles* I'll nose through Asta's stuff when I have a free moment. I owe people various things. x.x *flops right back out*
@AlexStarsion Depends on how he goes about it. Wyth is primarily concerned with his girl right now. And I don't think he has much against Zander, other than Amune doesn't really like him.
*collapses as an entire week attacks at once* x.x
The child blushed at the praise, but nodded. Her parents were absolutely wise! She looked at various things around the shop, but rejoined Ethan in time to pay the herbalist. The old lady's words to Zander reminded Amuné a great deal of something her mother often said. All the knowledge in the world was no good if you didn't use your heart. The man brushed Mae's advice off with a snarky comment. The girl smothered a giggle when he ran into the closed door, and turned her attention back to Ethan.

He had their purchases, so she called Wyth to her side and hurried to open the door. Of course he didn't remember which way they'd come from, but she did. "I don't know where the smithy is, but we came that way." Amuné pointed off down the street. "But it's going to take a while to make stuff there, right? So there's no hurry. And, um, Nymira gave me some money and said we should get things. Like maybe a bit of per...per...um, the type of food that doesn't last long?" She couldn't remember the right word for it, but she knew fruits and vegetables were important for staying healthy, and it was best to have some with every meal.

Zander rejoined them, after having lagged behind for a ways. The girl looked at him in surprise when he suddenly decided to use his magic to help Ethan. If he was going to help, why had he taken so long? Maybe he didn't want the lady at the shop to see? But then he turned and walked off. What was that about? Amuné couldn't make much sense of a lot of things the healer did, so she just looked at Ethan and shrugged.

@Mokley I'm doing better, though apparently I have allergies! YAY /sarcasm -.- Anyhow, I'm feeling like myself, this super busy week is over and I've...sorta caught up with RL? I'll be tending to my posts over the weekend, provided I can dig my muse out of whatever hole she fell into. Half the rps I'm in -- if not more -- died over the last month or so, and I seem to be entering a new cycle in terms of where my interests and inspiration seems to point. x.x That means I may have to drop things if I feel I'm no longer giving them the attention and care they deserve, even though I've never liked dropping. My meds need adjusting anyhow and my doctor and I are working on that, but it could take months to get right...and by then it'll be winter and I'm usually a bit less enthused then. I don't even know. *flop* I guess I just have to see what happens.
@Belle Oh no! *hugs*
@Ojo chan 42 I hope I've not made you uncomfortable. I know I tend to poke at things, but it's almost always out of a desire to see how things fit together, and to make a good story. If something doesn't make sense I want to understand -- but I'll also argue about it, and that's really not a good thing. If I've been a pest I apologize. I'd hate to see you go as well.

I didn't have time while at work to make a post. As I said, this week is super busy. I may not have time to write before the weekend. =/ I'm very sorry about that. I feel awful, what with being so antsy and then THERE'S A POST but whoops, I have zero time. x.x
@Prince of Seraphs A POST! *tackles* But you had to do it the week I'm books solid! I'll see if I don't have time to whip something up while I'm at work. My job gives me a bunch of time to myself, though I don't always have a computer (or enough quiet to think).

As a note, I think Sini has found what she likes doing. *amused* She takes pride in being able to handle whatever is thrown at her, though I suppose she might see value eventually in specializing.

@BlackPanther Perhaps the guards were alert the entire time, but wanted to see just what she'd do? She's a (currently weak) fey trying ot pass herself off as a human, and clearly out of place. It wouldn't take but a few moments to apprehend her -- and if she's strong enough to disguise herself that well they probably need help anyhow. Of course, this would negate the idea of Laira being held responsible for Lyra's injury, but...*shrug* It's a thought.
@LadyRunic Yep, Falk's definitely up to something with Aisling. ^.^
