Finnlay shook his head at what Alistar said considering he wasn't in a position to fight with Jocelyn the way she was. As he continued down the stairs he came to a metal door that he presumed lead into the garage and hopefully would give him a way to get to a car. Kicking hard the door flew open as it smacked hard into the wall that it was attached to causing a loud echoing sound in the mostly empty garage. As he entered into the garage he was met by the looks of what appeared to be 5 swat members who all instantly trained their guns on the door. Under the mask, Finnlay’s eyes grew wide as he intuitively turned his back to them trying to shield Jocelyn's body from the inevitable gunfire while trying to get behind cover.

As he made a move for a nearby wall he felt white hot pain go shooting through his left shoulder. Making behind the wall he stopped for a moment to get his being as he heard the gunfire stopped. He felt his arm slowly going limp from what he thought were multiple gunshots to it. He had been shot before but it had been far too long. Placing Jocelyn down nicely he sat down as he laid his head against the wall cursing at himself. He heard the Agents stop from getting any closer to his position probably from fear of what would happen. “Look we didn't do anything wrong. I have someone who is injured with me. She needs attention right away. I just want to get her out of here.” none of the agents said anything back to him which was slightly irritating. “I know you all have a job to do but what would you do if you were in my shoes?” as he was talking he was hoping he could stall them just long enough for himself to recover a bit. Looking at Jocelyn again he nodded his head slightly before he heard a guard yell “surrender now and you and your friend will get the attention you need.” closing his eyes for a second confirmed with them before putting his hands up so they could see. As he slowly rose over the wall he kept his arms in the air. Listening to the orders of the guard he slowly made his way around the wall as he faced away from them.

After a little bit of time, he came to stop as a guard came up behind him with a pair of cuffs in hand. Being pushed to his knees Finally allowed his arms to be brought behind him as the guard was getting ready to cuff him. “I know you have a job to do, But so do I.” as soon as Finnlay had finished his sentence he instantly disappeared leaving only the cuffs where he was once kneeling. A moment later he reappeared behind one of the guards as he grabbed the poor man's sidearm with his good arm while kicking him away at the same time. By the time he turned around, he had already been shot right between the eyes. Moving around quickly he made sure to keep the agents guessing when it came to where he was. He did his best to keep the attention away from where jocelyn's body was laying by staying by taking shots at the agents from the opposite side of the garage. Popping up from a car he was able to hit one agent in the chest as he fell to the ground before he knew what hit him.

After a few more minutes of fighting Finnlay finally had managed to kill the last of the agents as he felt his whole body begin to rebel from the torture he had just put it through. Tossing the agents to the side he made his way back to where he had left Jocelyn. She looked peaceful almost in her current state. Regaining his thoughts after shaking his head a bit he bent down to pick her up before he felt his whole body tense up again bringing him to one knee. “Damit” he yelled in a hushed voice as he felt pain all over his body. Trying to reach for Jocelyn once again he began to feel a weird sensation going through his body. It almost felt as though his body was breaking down like what he did but different in a seance. Not a second letter he found himself and Jocelyn in what seemed to be the hanger of an aircraft. Jumping to his feet he was waiting for a shield agent to be waiting for him but rather he found the others that had been in the meeting room earlier in the night.

Turning to the new figure that looked like a blue version of venom and Silver he groaned slightly and let his guard down slightly. After hearing what his options were he instantly replied with “Drop me and Jocelyn off in Boston. Doesn't matter where just anywhere in the city and I can take care of the rest. No offense but I rather you do not know where I live or where my friends live.” he paused for a moment as he looked at everyone else waiting for someone to challenge his decision. Part way through waiting for someone to say something he felt his whole body tense up to an unbelievable degree as again dropped to one knee. “Aghhh! Damit” he said angrily through his teeth. “I'm fine I don't need your help,” he said when he heard what sounded like footsteps coming from this frost weaver person. He forced himself to get back to his feet indicating that he was fine before he felt everything shut down as he collapsed with a loud thud as he fit the floor of the hanger helmet first.
@Lord Wraith Unforently I don't believe I can join at this time as I just got swamped with finals and work. perhaps at another time.

Zakhul

Zakhul’s senses were slightly overwhelmed as he ran along the road. After being unused for centuries it was quite a shock to be passing by so many sights and smells. The pair of Aldon and Zakhul had been making their way down the coast of the peninsula for the past few hours. With night falling a few hours ago they were close to reaching their destination. In the distance, Zakhul could hear a mass of noises steadily drawing nearer. Wanting to take a look he propelled himself up into the branches of the trees. Climbing higher while maintaining pace it wasn’t long until he reached the top of the trees. Skipping along the top of the trees he could see the bright lights of the city ahead of him. Looking to Aldon he pointed ahead of them, “I believe we are nearing our destination.”

“It would seem so Zakhul,” he said calmly as he looked at the large city which could be seen for miles even to a normal humans eyes. “We should start traveling as mortals again and try to keep a low profile from here on.” after saying that he dropped from the top of the tree he had been balancing on, landing on his feet as his features began to look more human. His fangs disappeared and his eyes turned back to their icy blue color but they still held a sharpness to them that threatened one to challenge him. He waited for a moment before he heard Zakhul drop behind him before he started to make his way to the city. “With any luck, we'll be able to get what we want.”

“With luck.” Zakhul began to layer more illusion magic over the layers already laid upon him to disguises his eyes. Now they were a calm hazel instead of a piercing red. As they walked along the road Zakhul was noticing the steady flow of young men heading towards the city. “It seems as if the humans are gathering most of their fighters. This could be a fairly large army.” While these men kept their faces blank, Zakhul can smell their fear. Each and every one of them had it in varying degrees, some to a larger extent than others. Many of these men will have never seen war before, but they have probably all heard the stories. “Many will die.”

“As they always do in conflicts such as these.” Like Zakhul, Aldon had been paying attention to the people he saw gathering near the city. His sharp eyes began scanning them over trying to see what kind of people they would find within the walls. Most seemed like normal peasants if not slightly better off, but every now and then he would see someone who was clearly a true fighter. “We should be able to blend in rather well with all the warriors hear but we should still be careful not doing thing out of ordinary.” he paused as he could see the gates of the city nearing. “I think it's best if you let me do the talking until you get used to the ways things have changed in your sleep.”

When both he and Zakhul made it to the gates he could see a small line as people were being checked by guards as they entered the city. After a short wait, they had finally made it to the front where a guard sat in front of a small wood desk with a skater of papers and a small lantern on it that provided the guard some light to read the papers. “What's your business here.” the guard said in a tired voice clearly not in his best mindset.

“My friend and I here are hoping to look around your lovely city if that would be ok. We also are lo...”
“Yeah yeah, whatever. You're free to enter,” he said not bother to hear the rest of Aldons explanation as he waved towards the gate.

Zakhul had forgotten how impressive Tarantis was since the last time he had seen it. It’s shining lights were meant to amaze the peasants and foreign emissaries alike, much like a military parade. The streets were crowded to the point of suffocation and personal space was a memory of the past. Unable to stand being smashed in with so many lesser creatures Zakhul stepped into an alleyway. As soon as he got free of the crowd he stealthily leaped up onto the top of a nearby building. He began to calmly walk at his own pace, jumping over streets and alleys as they came. Taking this chance to survey the city he could see the castle off into the distance. “Why don’t we just go kill the king?” Zakhul was speaking to no one in particular.

“Because that wouldn't be near as much fun now would it?” Not long after saying this a bat came hovering next to Zakhul as it continued to talk to him. “And what part of staying under the radar did you think meant jumping up onto a roof?”

“I am fairly certain everyone in that alleyway was either dead, drunk, or high so I believe I am fairly safe.” Continuing along in the same direction Zakhul kept on the lookout for humans who could see them. “It is not as if I have the luxury of turning into a little bat and flying around. By the way, where are we going, because I am completely lost?”

“Well, I suppose we could head to the Castle and see what's around there and maybe sign up for the army.” After Aldon had said that both he and Zakhul made their ways back down off the roofs into an alley before joining the people in the streets again as they began walking towards the castle. The streets were still rather busy but it seemed as though people were far too busy to be paying attention to anything that was happening around them which was nice for him. As they continued he could see what looked like the remains of a house that had recently been burnt down or collapsed in on itself. Once he got closer he began to examine the sight more closely trying to see what had happened or if anyone seemed to care about the city. As he looked he could see to figures standing by the house inspecting it that bore the sign of justice on their armor. As he looked one of them, a female it seemed, appeared to notice him he thought before he quickly turned his head hiding his face behind his hat. “Shit”

“What’s wrong?” Zakhul hadn’t even bothered to notice the figures or the house, thinking of them as insignificant as mice. He scanned their surroundings looking for something he considers a threat but saw nothing. “Where are they?”

Aldon made sure both of them continued to walk as they left the house and the to figures behind them. “The two people by that burned house. They’re members of the justice of order. And I think the one noticed me.” He paused for a second as they kept walking. He wasn't scared of them by themselves in the slightest. He was fairly certain he could take them on with ease, but the idea that one had taken note of him made him uneasy if they decided to investigate leading to way more attention than he needed at this moment. “They're very keen on finding things out and enforcing laws, But l,ike all humans their just ais blownr corrupt group looking for power.”

“So what if they are adept at finding things out? They are merely humans, we can just wait a few years and they will be dead.” Zakhul barely glanced in the direction of the house as he continued on his way. “Maybe we should go join the army, though I am uncomfortable about fighting around such weak beings. What if I accidentally kill a bunch of them. BOOM!!! Cover blown. We should find a more elite group to attach ourselves to.”

“Because I have waited a long time and I would rather our cover not be blown. In case you forgot to talk about us would not stop in a couple of years. But I suppose that we could try and join a more elite group.” he stopped for a moment as he could see the castle just before them. “Well, let's hope this goes well.”

We back baby
It was a bright and sunny day much to Aldons annoyances. It did little to him at this point in his life, it was more like a nagging mosquito hovering around him. Looking up at the blue sky above he thought it was odd how beautiful and peaceful it was as if it had no idea the storm that was brewing in the world. Lowering his face back down to guard it against the sun under the hat he wore. As he scanned his surroundings in the forest he could tell they were arriving closer to his destination.

After a short while longer he stepped out from the tree line and entered a clearing that was empty save for what looked to be the ruins of an ancient temple. “Hmm. Ironic really, a demon living in an old temple. You really are asking for it aren't you?” he had said out loud to himself. He didn't need to fear if anyone heard him considering he would have noticed them following him. As he approached the crumbled remains of some old forgotten god he began throwing massive chunks of stone out of the way as he searched for any kind of door or secret passage. As he continued to look he found what looked like a normal stone floor but with his sharp vision, he saw the slightest lines in between the stone slab and the rest of the floor. With a smirk on his face, Aldon brought down his foot with all his force shattering the stone floor as it gave way to a set of stairs that descended deep into the earth. As he continued down the steps he was engulfed in the dark as he could feel the irritation leave him. Finally, at the bottom of the steps, he rounded the corner and entered into a large room with a single bed in it. “You really are a sloth aren't you?” he said out loud as he drew closer to the bed that had a figure sleeping in it. Looking at the man that was sleeping in the bed his eyes narrowed. “I could kill you without the slightest sweat and you wouldn't realize it until you woke up in hell.” raising his hand slightly he smacked the sleeping man across the face with a force that would possibly kill a normal man. “Wake up Zakhul.”

The trading post had been fairly busy since the summer solstice, which had happened around two weeks ago. People of all kinds were passing through, coming from the south on their way to the North. With the rivers slowing down, a lot more crossings were available for the next few weeks. Throughout the trading post, a motley collection of sounds could be heard constantly. Dogs barked, horses whinnied and people shouted. Merchants comparing stock and deciding on prices for the coming months. There were even some purchases happening between the merchants themselves. Near the entrance, two figures could be seen in an animated argument.

“I don't care how hard it was to get that cask of ale, you can't just double the price!”

The other voice was relaxed and soothing as it spoke, “It is not merely the difficulty of obtaining the product, but the rarity of it as well that raises its price. This is one of the last casks from a very specific batch that was said to be much better than normal.”

“I know exactly what that is, but you are still charging a ridiculous amount for it. If you don't want to sell it, then I'll just buy it somewhere else.”

With the other merchant stomping away Zakhul let out a soft laugh. Every year they went through this same routine without fail. Turning back to his wares he placed the cask back into its original position on the cart. Humming a simple song while closing up the cart he felt a tug in his head. Immediately the world around him stopped moving and the light of the sun dim. Talking to no one, in particular, he looked up towards the sky. “It seems as if someone plans to wake me from my sleep.” The world around him collapsed as a single tunnel of light appeared around him. Reaching out a hand he pulled himself through the tunnel. As he opened his eyes he felt a strong force hit him across the face.

“Ow.”

“Please, I barely put any force behind that strike.” He said in an even and serious tone. “Come on, it's time for you to get up. You’ve been asleep for far too long.” He said as he turned around ready to leave when Zakhul was done getting ready. “And don’t take forever will you.”

Zakhul slowly stood up from the bed and stretched his limbs. Grabbing a sword that had lain beside the bed he strapped it to his side. He began to follow Aldon up the stairs while he pulled his shirt on. “What is it that you require me for? I can't imagine you woke me up to have a chat.”

Smirking slightly at his friend's sarcasm Aldon replied “of course not. There are some interesting things happening in the world now that I thought you would want to see.” Taking a moment to pause he continued “there’s talk of a large war breaking out that could be of interest.”

“What interest is there in the squabbling of children? Why are you so interested in this conflict, like so many others?”

“Because these sort of things always bring out the best and the worst of humanity and I want to see which takes precedence over the other. And I believe this world has done without us for far too long.”

“That just sounds like an excuse to go to war if you ask me, but what do I know.” As he said those words Zakhul took his first step into the sun in centuries. He felt the warmth on his skin and the light wash over him. Taking a pause to relish the feeling he just stood there for a few seconds. Glancing out of the corner of his eye Zakhul flashed a devilish grin, “Doesn't the sun just feel great?”

Making sure his hat was securely on Aldon looked forwards at Zakhul who was soaking in the sunlight. “Yeah, it’s fantastic.” He said with a deep sarcasm in his voice at the obvious. As he began to walk forwards he stopped as his ears twitched a bit. Scanning around he narrowed his vision at what looked like a normal tree line. “You can come out if that tree line now. I know you're there.” He yelled out as four armed personal made their way towards himself and Zakhul.

As the four made their way out towards the pair they spread out a bit until coming to a stop a “safe distance away. “How did you know we were standing there?” The leader of the men asked while place of a hand on his sword. “No man has that good of sight that I’ve heard of.”

“Come now you must have known what I am. After all, that is why you been watching. But if you're still confused, allow me to show you.” As soon as he finished Aldon looked straight at the man as he let out some of his Vampiric power. His once ice blue eyes became a deep blood red and his fangs began to show. Just the little bit of power he was showing was enough to frighten the younger members of the group but the man only drew his sword awaiting the fight. “I hope that answers your question.” He finished with a smirk that said he had already won. Turning to his friend he whispered, “you take the two on the right I’ll take the leader and the one on the left.” Before drawing his own sword and wright at the man to the far left in blinding speed.

Zakhul watched Aldon charge the man on the left with apathy. Turning to his “targets” he slowly began to walk towards them. Drawing his sword he suddenly dashed towards his enemies. He managed to get a good hit on the foe to his left before they reacted and began to fight back. Zakhul quickly swung at one foe as he ducked from the other’s blow. The fight only lasted about fifteen seconds, but for the combatants, it felt like hours. Zakhul stepped away from the fight with a hairline cut on his abdomen, but not much more. Finished with his fight he looked to see how Aldon did.

Aldon had flashed behind his opponents swinging his sword straight at them. They managed to barely dodge out of the way before they had their heads cut off. Aldon focused on the more expire fed of the two knowing it would be child’s play to finish off the youngster. As their swords locked Aldons smirked evilly as he pushed through with all his might as his opponent's sword broke along with his spirits. As the sword drove deep in his chest Aldon looked behind him to see the younger hunter running straight for him with a dagger. Aldon simple vanished and appeared right behind him as he grabbed the boys head snapping his neck in an instant. Aldon was pleased with his work as he began walking towards Zakhul who had also finished his fight in about the same time. Pointing to the slight cut on his chest “you losing touch with all that sleep?”

“I am not losing my touch, I am merely rusty from sleeping for a century. Not using your muscles for that long of a time tends to do that to a person.” Looking at the horizon where the sun was setting he could feel his heart beat a small bit faster. “So, where are we going first."

Turning towards around Aldon looked out to the distance thinking of where exactly he should begin to head. “Kron-nesis,” he said matter of factly. “They are attacking a small kingdom that once belonged to them. It's a decent trip but with our speed, we should make it there it time to see the troops moving.” he paused for a moment before adding. “They will be looking for warriors on their way I'm sure perhaps we can weasel our way in.” after finishing both Aldon and Zakhul vanished from sight as they made their way towards their destination.
ULTFIC

Ultfic sat looking deep into the mug that, much to his displeasure, was empty. He had awoken not long ago with a throbbing headache from where he had been knocked out. There wasn't many other patrons in the bar with him except one of his men who had apparently drawn the short straw and had to watch to make sure he didn't go off the rails again. Ultfic laughed while staring at his mug. “You know you don't have to babysit me like i'm some kid stuck to his mother.” Ultfic appreciated the fact his men cared and worried about him but it could get annoying at times. “Sorry sir. No disrespect I was just ordered by one of the Kingsguard to watch you.” “suit yourself then.” was all he was able to retort back at the man sitting in the booth behind him.

He continued to think about last night and the events that transpired. He had gone from being on top of the world and being crowned champion only to have his best friend slaughtered right before his eyes because this damn city couldn't keep its own shite together. His grip and the mug drew tighter as his anger began to rise once again. With all it’s damned money and people it couldn’t keep out a damned bear on the night of a festival no less. Relaxing slightly he scolded himself for having thoughts like that. He was the captain and needed to act as such and show proper restraint as it were. But that part of him still distrusted the people of the other country’s. That being said he didn’t have a particular problem with the Lutherans, but he never could trust the stick up people of Exodus and Primfa.

Turning around on his stole he looked at the guard for the first time that morning. He was a young man which was giving him credit considering he resembled a boy in his teenage years more. He clearly hadn’t seen the horrors of the world yet. “your Names Richard right son?” “Yes sir. I’m one of the new city guards that got selected to come.” Ultfic smiled at the boys timid reaction to being question by himself. “I appreciate you looking out for me lad.” He ordered another pint for RicharCelticseemed to question it at first before Ultfic spoke up and told the poor boy it was an order.

“Who finally killed the beast last night?”
“It was one of our own sir.”
“Really? Which member of the guard?”
“He had the markings of Earthica but he wasn't a guard. He must have been a citizen that came to the festival.”
“Well at least it was one of us that claimed the beast life and not someone from the other nations.”
They continued to talk for a short time about life and just everything else happening in the world. Ultfic thought it was good to know his men and what hardships they were going threw. After about an hour he sat up from the booth saying mid stretch “we better head back to the castle and continue our duties. Can't leave the family unguarded especially after last night.” he finished the last part slightly quieter since it had a bit of anger behind it and the last thing he wanted was a fight in the middle of the tavern. Dropping a few coins on the table for the bar keep he and Richard made their way back to the palace. All the while Ultfic tried his best to bury the sorrow he felt as deep as he could. The ale was helping out quite a bit but it still needed time. His thoughts also drifted to the supposed man who slayed the beast and who he was. He had to now what all happened last night. If there was a warrior in his country that was a expert fighter as he supposed this man had to be then surely he should have already been added to the guard. But what troubled him more was that if this man was such a good fighter why hadn't he known about it. he would have to get to the bottom of all this before the ceramony that was supposed to be held tonight to honor the dead that he had heard about from one of the citizens in the street.

As they entered the palace he noticed the slight increase in gaurds watching over thier esteemed guest than their was before. "It is a start I suppose" he said to him self. he ordered Richard to find that mistry man that slayed the bear and tell him the captain of the gaurd wanted a word with him. In the meantime Ultfic decied he would head back to his room and rest for a moment before the rest of the day contined.
