Growing up with very little Casey learnt rather early on the value of the heart over material items and not judging from the outside, both morals she takes seriously. She's a bit od a hopeless romantic and, when her heart is set on something, she'll go to the end of the world to achieve it. She is easily hurt despite the occasional bullying she received in school, perhaps that's why her fiance can't break things off with her.

• Biography:

Casey's father, Michael, was deep in debt before she was born. Young and struggling to pay back student loans and much of the likes he rarely got by, at this point he was also an alcoholic. Casey was the result of a drunken one-night stand with a woman he had a couple of connections to. Upon finding out she had fallen pregnant she quickly got in contact with him.

Finding a real reason to live Michael cleaned up the mess that was his life. He stopped drinking, found a job that gave him a small income, small was better than none, and although that debt continued to grow on him he was able to slowly pay it back. As for Casey's mother and him, they started dating. That all ended at Casey's birth.

Almost instantly after recovering from the long birth Casey's mum walked out on them and left town, leaving Michael to raise a baby on his own.

Growing up the pair barely scrapped through. Money was tight and the pair spent more than a couple days homeless, however, they got by. They had each other. Despite the lack of money Michael did quite a good job raising the young girl. Come time for her to go to school, however, Michael had trouble. Even schools that accepted students for nothing expected books upon books and stationery to a significant sum. That was when be met Mrs Deville who invited Casey into Rising Sun with open arms, leaving her father with a very small list of required supplies and handling the rest alone.

Casey got on relatively well with the other students. Occasionally her financial situation would lead to teasing, especially come Christmas time or birthdays where, unlike most other students, she would give her fellow student handmade presents over brought ones. There was one guy though who never teased her for it, defended her on the occasion even. Over time Casey fell for him and fell hard until she mustered up the courage to ask him out.

As time went Michael got his finances under control and the pair were no longer just scraping through. Given, they were not living an upper class life but they were earning enough to actually live and have everything they need.

Inspired by Helen, Casey went on to do a course in teaching and eventually graduated to go into a job teaching English at the local state high school. All the while her love grew for her boyfriend, still the same guy as school, and eventually she asked him to marry her.

Jayanti stands at approximately 5'7" making her significantly taller than the average Indian and taller than the average American woman. She possesses a relatively slim yet not completely tiny frame, her usual wearing of sweatpants and baggier shirts make the fat on her less noticable. One of the most noteworthy features of the Indian-born demigod is her long hair. Jayanti's hair is an almost-black brown and reaches right down to her waist, it's one of the few things she's not lazy when it comes to it. She takes great care of her long hair so it's always soft and smooth. Her skin is a caramel brown and her face sport little acne par occasional break outs which she covers with make-up often. Her eyes are a large rounded almond with dark caramel brown pupils. She has a piercing through her right nostril and a tattoo on her left wrist saying 'Nirbhao' and one on her right saying 'Nirvair' meaning 'without fear, without hate'.

Fun, quirky and confident Jayanti, to most people, is fun to be around. She embraces awkward silences like they're her best friend and is often found joking around. With a bucket-load of confidence Jayanti is not afraid to do some of the most random things absolutely anywhere. Jayanti is carefree and very much an optimist. She believes that almost any problem or problematic situation has some hope in working out and the rest are something to not dwell upon.

Jayanti can be very clumsy and embraces her clumsiness with open arms. She often pokes fun at her own insecurities, she found it was very effective with being teased less in her younger days (because if you find it funny it's going to be hard for others to get you down about it) but she also uses it as a way to cheer up the people around her.

Jayanti is a bit of a slob. Laziness is something that hits her for a small chunk of time before she gets back to being moderately active. Her room, however, is most probably the disgrace of the dorm building. She's respectable to keep her junk out of the shared spaces but her room is usually atrocious. Odd smell coming from one of the room's down the hallway? Probably Jayanti's room. Probably in Jayanti's room. That mug she drank out of a month ago? Yeah, that's still on the window sill. For some inspections she cleans it quickly but half of it is usually stuffed in the wardrobe or such. She calls it creativity, everyone else calls it messy, not that she minds, the time could be spent in better ways. Jayanti loves food and often jokes food is her life. The three things she'll claim to need in her life is food, sleep and happiness. When she's at classes she's probably either eating, socializing or lazing about, possibly sleeping. Despite her laziness though, she jas quite the green thumb and will willingly spend hours in fields tending to crops, she feels at peace doing such.

Jayanti is known to be childish but she can actually be rather mature and responsible when she feels she needs to be, she just doesn't see many opportunities that call for it, situation doesn't call for maturity in her eyes as quickly as most people would think it would. Commitment scares Jayanti slightly, she's terrible when it comes to commitment particularly in a relationship and has failed to date someone for over seven months. Though her joyfulness and childishness Jayanti can get annoying to some and has a tendency to walk herself into everyday dangers and threats.

Background:
Jayanti was raised in Delhi with her father and, for most her life, her stepmother. Jayanti always knew who her mother was growing up and never really held and ill-will toward her. Jayanti was only 3 when her father married Riya, a childhood friend of his, leading to the woman becoming a big part of Jayanti's life. Although she never got the title Riya was always the mother figure in her life.

Growing up Jayantifound school harder and more effort was needed on her part over the other kids. This got on her father's nerves slightly. Don't get me wrong, he was a great father, but he wanted his daughter to do well in everything she did so when most other student's grades were leaps and bounds ahead of hers he wasn't the most pleased father in the world. No matter what they tried, although it helped, it never really got her far enough to match other student's grades in the academic subjects. As she was so behind so many students she was often teased about her low grades and had few friends, that was until she learnt by poking fun at herself not only would the bullying become less dramatic but she would get more friends. By the end of that year she wasn't bullied so much but was the go-to student when you were blue. Some people wouldn't like such attention so quickly especially if it came from teasing themselves by Jayanti loved it and still does today.

It was when her 15th year was dawning upon her the Cyclops came. It was the quick thinking of Riya who, upon seeing the abnormally tall man with one eye, getting too close to Jayanti threw a stick at the Cyclops and dragged Jayanti inside before admitting she was a daughter of Iris.

Only 5 days later the small family got an 'anonymous' letter telling them about Olympus Academy and that a contact was set up to meet Jayanti in one week in America. The family packed up and left on a 'holiday' to America. As Jayanti grew up learning both of Delhi's official primary languages (Hindu and English) there was and has not been a language barrier. She celebrated her 16th on the day she departed with her 'contact' for Olympus Academy and left her father and stepmother.

Since then Riya and Akash received their visa and moved to New York to be closer to Jayanti. Although Jayanti's primary place of residence is Olympus Academy she owns an small apartment in New York for the holiday season.
