Now, I'm not much for comics, but isn't that basically her actual character? Not crazy but trying to convince herself she is? Or is that just the impression that the animated series gave?


I don't like comics either, but she's supposed to be actually crazy after falling into the same vat of acid that turned the Joker insane. She fell in love with him as his psychiatrist in the mental asylum and he turned her to his cause.

I was also a bit disappointed with Harley Quinn. She didn't seem actually insane; rather, she seemed like a sane person trying to convince themselves that they're crazy.
