"So What's your take in this Vedika? What exactly do you think happened back there?" He asked while glancing around the room.

Vedika blinked at him in mild confusion. "Something exploded," she said without putting much thought into it, "Maybe that boy with Ashleigh explodes or something." Vedika knew that Ash had telekinetic powers on top of her ability to feel and project emotions, but until she knew the truth, she would do her best to deny Ashleigh's guilt, to herself and to Jason.

Vedika walked into the kitchen with Jason, where the meeting was taking place, and from the looks of things, about to wrap up. "Hi," she said, smiling, "sorry we're late."

"Alright then, glad you're better." Jason said with false belief. He wanted to find out what had happened in the gym. "I'm gonna go after Allister, this whole mess has me curious out of my mind." Without another word Jason darted out into the hallway. Allister obviously was long gone. Allister must have headed to the gym, that's where Liam was. When he burst through the gym doors only the instructor from earlier was inside.

It didn't take him long to get back to the infirmary. Vedika obviously hasn't gone anywhere despite her apparent 'curedness' "Hey vedika, apparently me and you are supposed to be at the kitchens. Do you need me to carry you? he asked with a raised eyebrow. He didn't want to be a jerk, and leave her behind, or make her try to keep up with him in her current state. @stern algorithm

When Jason returned, Vedika was already on her feet. In the time he was gone, she had been trying to get herself used to this new sensation, or lack thereof. She had even walked around the infirmary a bit. As terrifying as this all should have been, Vedika was a little excited. She was experiencing a heightened state of awareness due to needing all her other senses to make up for her lack of touch, and this state gave her a bit of a rush. But like a caffeine rush or an adrenaline rush, she wouldn't be able to maintain this state for an extended period of time because her mind would get tired. Vedika was not aware of this however, and did a bit of shadow boxing to demonstrate just how much she had gotten used to her situation. "As much as I'd like to be carried, I don't think that will be necessary," she grinned at Jason, "lead the way!"
@Hitman5455

Hey dude. I'm really for the the inexcusably long delay. I've posted and should hopefully be more regular going forward.
"Vedika, I got it!" Jason said with excitement. "I know this is gonna sound strange, but you're going to have to let me hypnotize you." Jason knew how crazy it sounded, most people weren't aware of the fact that hypnosis was actually very possible, and not just Hollywood crap.
@stern algorithm

"Haha, funny..." Vedika said, suddenly very uncomfortable and trying to pass it off as humor. The thought of relinquishing control of her body made her squeamish. "Anyways, I feel better already." Vedika made to get off the bed, trying to hide the intense focus that was necessary to move normally when her whole body was numb. She felt that she was maybe able to pass off as 'cured', and to exude confidence, said, "See? Nothing to it. All better." Vedika had absolutely no desire to be hypnotized. She looked at Jason, somehow sure she had failed to trick him.
@stern algorithm
"Calm down vedika, I'm not blaming her." Jason started defensively. But then he realized that even he thought it sounded like he was blaming her. He had started talking objectively rather than subjectively. Yeah that came out wrong. "At least, I didn't mean to..." He replied guiltily. "Look what I meant to say is it had to do with ash, her mental powers. I can't tell you how to fix this, because I'm not entirely sure what's going on with you. Jason harshly racked his brain for a solution, he had never seen anything like this. Then a light went off somewhere in Jason's head.

"Hey I got it! Try meditating like you were earlier. 'Search your feelings luke'." He laughed. "Sorry about that but seriously, maybe then you can see what's wrong and fix it yourself." He finished

Vedika accepted Jason's attempts to mitigate blame on Ashleigh. "It's worth a shot," Vedika said slowly getting into a sitting position. Vedika was surprised to notice that Jason was right, something was weird. Her aura felt much smaller, tighter. "It feels like a knot," she said vaguely. She tried to expand her aura like she did during training, only this time, it was to expand it just to the limits of her body rather than outside of it. It was hard, and required more concentration, but doable. She felt a tingling sensation as feeling returned, but a sudden, disgusting, under-the-skin sensation came all over her body, forcing her aura to retract again. Though her face was stoic and her eyes closed, a wince appeared momentarily and she experienced a minor gag reflex.

What was that sensation? she thought to herself, her mind wandered back to Liam and Paulina again. "I could feel for a second, but something forced me back," Vedika said, probably being not at all helpful to Jason's attempts to investigate.
"Vedika, this is gonna sound weird but your injury isn't physical." Jason started cautiously. "I think whatever Ashleigh accidentally did to us, affected you differently. I think it's caused your subconscious to do this to you." He finished, praying he didn't sound like a nut.

Vedika narrowed her eyes a bit. "I said it wasn't Ash!" Vedika defended, more vehemently than she had intended, "It might have been that other boy." @KiritoAsuna

Vedika didn't realize the contradiction in saying that it might be Alister but not Ashleigh. She had nothing concrete to base her statement on, only a desire to not want Ashleigh to suffer the guilt. Thinking back she remembered feeling something off just moments prior to Alister screaming and the explosion. It had to do with Liam and Paulina, but she wasn't sure what. @Themerlinhawk @Thundercrash

"But you're probably right in that it's not physical," Vedika acquiesced. "What do you suggest?"

Because they were in the infirmary and not their dorm rooms, Vedika and Jason wouldn't hear Alister's PA announcement.
Still here, Vedika's gonna stay in the infirmary until she can adapt to her current circumstance.
Hey, sorry for the delayed post, but I'm still here

"Yeesh, sounds like Ashleigh did a number on you." Jason chuckled. In the short time span in between him talking and vedika replying(which Jason had made an eternity) he was able to figure out what had happened. Ashleighs use of her powers had taken an extreme psychological toll on her, after she took some braclet off of course. That Braclet must be her inhibitor.

They soon reached the infirmary. Jason carried vedika through a narrow doorway and was motioned into another room by a gym instructor. The Room seemed to radiate sub-zero temperatures, it was too cold. "Christ it's fucking cold in here." Jason said to vedika, receiving a scowl of disapproval from the gym instructor. Jason set her on the bed in the center of the room.

"It's...not Ashleigh's fault," Vedika tried to say with more conviction than she had, "I was just experimenting with my powers when this happened. Just a coincidence."

As Jason placed her down on the bed, Vedika, who had calmed down considerably, tried testing her body, fidgeting, pushing and moving her limbs to see just exactly what she could or couldn't feel. In her earlier panic, she had lost track of herself, but now she noticed that if she focused, she was able to move with an acceptable degree of coordination. Maybe with a little training she could walk and run normally in a short amount of time, although she hoped this nambness wouldn't last long enough to necessitate that. At least she could still feel how cold it was.

"Maybe it's cold because they're keeping that fire boy here too?" Vedika wondered.
Ashleigh opened her eyes, her gaze going to Vivi, who seemed to be struggling, looking about in horror, Ashleigh saw the destruction she had caused, She saw that she had knocked many people over, had sent things flying. She had apparently affected the spiritual world, and now it looked like she had broken a friend.

"Vivi..."

Concern radiated strongly through Ashleigh, perhaps effecting Paulina at such closeness, and she managed to wriggle away. Not trusting her own legs, Ashleigh staarted to crawl towards Vivi, knowing it was her fault this had happened. If she had just had better control, it wouldn't have happened. She had n idea what had happened. The pain had just seemed so overwhelming...her body had reacted out of instinct. Maybe...Maybe Alister and herself resonated against one another? It didn't make sense to Ashleigh.

"Vivi...I'm sorry"

She reached out to touch her friend, but at the last second, she pulled away, looking down at her hand shamedly. She had done this, and she didn't think she could fix it. Only make it worse. She bowed her head, her arms shaking, "I'm sorry, I didnt mean to do it..." The words please don't hit me nearly escaped her mouth, although she knew Vivi nor Paulina would ever strike her. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry"

"Hehe..." Vedika chuckled, "Hey its not your fault. It doesn't even hurt...at all..." she said with a note of curiosity. "I just feel numb. I'm sure it'll pass in a minute. Just hard to stand when ya can't feel the floor, ya know?" Vedika was rambling, trying to convince herself as much as Ashleigh. Vedika reached to gently touch fingers with Ash to let her know that she didn't find Ash dangerous in the slightest, before Paulina came and scooped Ashleigh up. Ever the trooper, Vedika made another attempt to stand, much slower this time, but Paulina had commanded Jason to come.

"C'mon kiddo. Jason said to vedika as he bent down and scooped her up with ease. "Let's go Allister." Jason said as he stood up. He shared a nod with the gym instructor as he led them out of the gym.

He looked down at vedika. "So what the heck happened to you miss pacifist?" He said jokingly.

"Dunno," Vedika chuckled, grinning, unsure if her lack of confidence was visible, "I just can't feel anything. Kinda like how my force field protects me from physical harm, only this time it's just...no pain...no nothing."
