I think I like the knight
"Well we need to get going move!" After absorbing the half burnt out vault door the crew in the upper floors rushed off quickly into the vault to crack open the wall safes, and the others putting handfuls of wads into bags. As Disel asked how she looked the soldiers stifled a cackle. Meanwhile at the vault the thermite drills was finally finishing its job at tearing its way through the hard metal only to have a door in its way. The disgruntled soldiers roared in anger as one of them considered just blowing the door open. "You look like a million dollars." grumbled the soldier in command. He turned on his radio, and asked the second team how they were doing. "We're doing ok down here still need to burst open the door." the soldier on the other line grumbled as he prepared to talk to his fellow soldiers each them arguing if it was worth using the drill, or they should just blow it up.

"Not sure if the metal worker here will be able to get down to that floor with the way they are now." said the soldier on their end.

"Alright boys, you grab the money, I'll meet you downstairs!" Dieselpunk started, with a groan, to run towards the rear of the bank, knocking away mahogany tables where people would normally be signing leases and loans. Bracing herself, Dieselpunk crashed through the tall, pristine windows, taking much of the wall with her, and hurtled down to the street floor. Crashing down amid drywall, bricks and other debris, Dieselpunk landed with a loud clang that left her slightly winded, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Fortunately, her current body was tough enough to withstand the impact, and the pain was not enough to cause her to unfuse. And there it was, in all its stinking, beautiful glory. A garbage truck, abandoned, either because an operative had offed the driver, or the driver had abandoned it when the general evacuation was announced. Whatever the reason, it was a sight for sore eyes, and why Dieselpunk knew it was worth it to stay with this organization. Dusting herself off and waddling over, Dieselpunk began fusing with the truck. With a roar that resembled a cross between a monster and a revving engine, Dieselpunk had incorporated the heavy wheels into her hindquarters, the lifting mechanism into her right arm, and the trash-crushing mechanism into her other arm. Trash was dumped all over the street as the containment unit was portioned out into armor plating.

Now I smell like a million dollars, Dieselpunk thought sarcastically to herself as she busted her way back into the first floor of the bank to help the guys get the last vault open. Driving over, and probably scraping her mechanical head against some of the finer ceiling decorations, Dieselpunk assessed whether she should just punch through the door, or incorporate it into herself for some more goddamn armor. If the last door didn't seem to be worth much, she would choose the former, since she already had plenty of truck parts, as well as a vault door and several safe doors giving her protection, at least enough to likely withstand the likes of 'flower boy' and 'samurai girl' if they decide to show up on this side of the bank.
@vancexentan

Sorry for the long delay in posting. I just need a clarification: there are two vaults, one upstairs and one downstairs? Dieselpunk absorbed the upstairs vault door and the robbers are grabbing the money, meanwhile, the downstairs vault was finally drilled through, only for there to be another door in the way?

is all of this correct?

I'm guessing Dieselpunk can't fit through the stairs anymore, could she feasibly punch a hole in the floor and drop down a level, or throw herself out a window and Kool-Aid man her way back into the bank from behind?

Also, isn't it 'petals' with a 'T'?
@Stern Algorithm

This kind of thing would fit you well.

Well shit. Sign me the fuck up.
Been lurking for a bit and really wanted to join a made in Abyss Roleplay. Here is my character application:

Neeza Mit-Kaliram

Name
Neeza Mit-Kaliram

Gender

13

4'7" / 140cm

Weight
88lbs / 40kg

Hair style
Short, meticulously trimmed.

Hair Color
Cyan.

Eye Color
Dull Red.

Personality

Neeza follows a philosophy that resembles a mix between Zen and Nihilism. She sees desires as hedonism and seeks to cleanse herself of what makes her human and weak. She heard of the Abyss and hopes that by plumbing it's depths, she can be reborn transcendent and transhuman; to either find personal enlightenment, or to return as a prophet and avatar that will lead humanity out of its own filth. She behaves towards what she aspires to be: cold, emotionless, and far, far above the desires that she believes makes humans weak. Deeply philosophical and judgmental, she can come off as arrogant, belittling others when they show emotion. She demonstrates strong physical restraint and physical discipline, capable of enduring hunger, thirst, and a surprising amount of pain, as well as push her body to extreme physical feats thanks to the religious training she has been subjected to. She is at once both sheltered and jaded and is a very difficult person to interact with due either to prejudice or awkwardness. She can come off as cold, condescending, and ethereal. She shares little in common with normal folk and is a foreigner in a strange land.

Background

A beggar orphan living in the flooded muck of the great river valley of her homeland, Neeza lived a harsh life surrounded by disease, decay, and death. In desperation, she joined a particularly ascetic monastery that sought spiritual upliftment through physical torment. However, some king whose queen could not bear him any young, sought the advice of a soothsayer, who pointed to them that their hope lay in adopting a child. That child, according the the soothsayer, was none other than Neeza, who was promptly whisked away to live in a lavish palace. Having seen both sides of the world, Neeza sought an explanation for inequality and suffering. With scholars now at her beck and call, she delved into the various religions of her land. Nothing satisfied her, until one geography teacher explained to her the Great Emptiness that was found on a faraway island. Seeking the soothsayer who plucked her out of the monastery, he told her that she would bring enlightenment to these dark and troubled times. So she set out to Orth on a holy pilgrimage, hearing about the Abyss that changed people, and the artifacts that made people 'more than human'. She settled down among an orphanage, pledging her service in exchange for training. As a former orphan herself, she feels at home among the destitute.

Talents
Wise beyond her years, and having access to many books and people of learning in a land of many faiths, Neeza is deeply philosophical. Her body is also surprisingly disciplined thanks to her ascetic training, and she has the ability to will her body to endure more than normal through mind-over-matter mantras.

Likes
Despite being an ascetic and finding desires as a weakness, Neeza has a soft spot for spicy foods. She admires strength and mental conviction above all else and approves of those who can put aside their emotions and cravings for their goals.

Dislikes
Neeza hates emotions and desires, and she hates herself for having them. She dislikes those who let their whims control them. She also has a slight complex about her size and will dislike anyone who makes fun of her for it.

Theme

Hey boss, thanks for the invite. I'd love to be a part of this, but I may have commitment issues. Currently, I lack 'presence of mind'. If, despite that, you'll still have me, then I'll be happy to take part.
Yeah, but how else will we talk to @Stern Algorithm?!

Nah, I'm just too slow on the uptake to keep up with speed-posting, smack-talking, meme-sharing OOC shenanigans.
Well, I was waiting for the Karma/Midnight collab post before continuing. As it stands, are the robbers going to move the money or are they waiting for one of the 'supers' to do it for them? If the former, Kyouran will do as originally planned and protect the money guys, if the latter, she'll have to carry the money.
@Inkarnate

Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence and the glowing review. I realized with the quirk that it would be a long-shot, and I think I missed the fact that there was another 'gaijin' before me. As it turns out, I'm probably over-committed to RP's as it is, so I suppose I'm a little relieved to be 'honorably discharged'. Anyways, thank you for considering my application, and I hope you and your players have a great RP!
This idea looks really interesting. Count me in!
