Gammaton

Gammaton hung in the musty darkness of the dining hall that he had transformed into a veritable bug's nest during his week of activity. He had finished the laws for the Honorable Iva'Krorh's new vision for their society, The White Dawn. Gammaton had also passed out summons scrolls to whatever gods and goddesses had passed by the library at Iva's request. Though he felt a need to go out into the world and continue to seek out the remaining gods, he had decided to stay a few more days to rest. He had tapped into the vision of his spy flies to see the fruit of his and Iva'Krorh's handiwork. It seemed that while he had remained in the library, some major events had happened in the world, including a massive dragon invasion from the south, pillaging fire tribes, and a strange spiral of light.

Suddenly the doors of the room burst open, breaking Gammaton out of his revelry. Before, he had regretted not setting out on his mission sooner, now he was glad he hadn't left yet. "Ah, Lady Dirka, what a pleasant surprise," Gammaton said, not moving from his silk hammock, "I was only informed after you had left that we had entered the Library at roughly the same time. Shame we missed each other. But now you're back, and there is so much for us to talk about." Gammaton rolled out of his hammock, the wings encased behind his elytra unfolding and fluttering for a moment just enough to smooth his decent. The claws on his feet clicked against the stone floor as he landed. In the corner lay a corpse that Iva had been kind enough to offer to Gammaton. By now it was thoroughly rotten. The abdomen had been surgically sliced open by Iva's hand, while Gammaton's pens had been copiously stabbed into the corpse's offals. The occasional spy fly emerged from it, flying about randomly, whether to pioneer and seek out new sources of food, or to return into the rotting folds to mate or lay eggs. The corpse was, of course, crawling with feasting maggots that writhed among the flies that milled about, too oblivious to leave.

"You wound me with accusations of deception, Lady Dirka. I am not our brother, Lord Iarus. But if you already doubt me, then I suppose my words are meaningless." As Gammaton spoke, he wove another parchment and slammed it on the table, plucking another spine from his back and scribed feverishly. When he finished, he wordlessly slid the document over to Dirka. It read thusly:

This NDA (non-deception agreement) is a one-way contract in which Gammaton, God of the Domain of Law, swears that in the following discussion between Gammaton and Dirka, Goddess of the Domain of Magic, Gammaton will remain completely truthful.

The discussion ends when either god has left the room, after which this contract is no longer binding.

Gammaton retains the right to withhold information, by declaring "I Choose not to answer that question", so that the discussion does not become a one-way interrogation.

Dirka has the right to inspect the validity of the magic of this contract to verify its purpose and integrity.

By signing the contract, Dirka acknowledges that the contract is honest and binding according to the limits previously stated, and that Gammaton will be incapable of deception for the duration of the conversation.

By signing, Gammaton agrees to be bound by this contract for the duration in which said contract is binding.

At the bottom were two lines for signatures, one already signed by Gammaton. He offered her a pen from his back, his insect face unreadable of human expressions.

His eyes fluttered open groggily as the soft pastel colors of the room, dimly lit by morning light sneaking through the curtains, calmed him. He felt...healthy, as if the years of self-neglect had melted off overnight. He lay there for a moment, realizing this wasn't his room. Had he been kidnapped? He stayed surprisingly calm, as if in a surreal dream. Slowly, he pulled off the blanket and sat up on the bed. The first thing he saw of himself we're his dark, smooth, svelte legs and dainty feet. Lowering his gave further her saw two mounds underneath his shirt, his hands automatically reaching over to confirm that his breasts were real. His hands moved to his face as he notice the tickling sensation of hair sliding across his back. He ran his hands through his long, cream-white hair.

He was a healthy, young woman. He didn't use to be. His name was Huang XiaoRen, an overweight man in his 40s. XiaoRen stood up and focused his mind on it's body, enjoying it's light weight and sprightly, youthful energy. XiaoRen noticed the visual difference of the room from real life, and walked to the bathroom to confirm his suspicions. Seeing his face, he knew: he had been reborn into an anime. "This had to be a dream," XiaoRen thought to himself as he inspected his face with some exhilaration. She was beautiful. Smooth, dark skin, Amber eyes, white hair. He gave himself a weak smile in the mirror and immediately felt embarrassed. He turned to the frame of the bathroom door, leaned back a bit, and then rammed his forehead against the side of the frame.

XiaoRen screamed as she doubled over, curled into a ball, and lay on the ground in a fetal position. Tears streamed from her eyes as she began to sob, realizing from the pain that this wasn't a dream, and feeling the grip of self-loathing loosen slightly. XiaoRen had always been uncomfortable in his own skin, in his assigned gender. Was this okay? Was he allowed to restart his life in this way?
A visit from Dirka?

I have PM'd the laws Iva requested of Gammaton, so at least OOC, the exchange is done, and can be wrapped up IC. Anyone who intended to come to the library should leave with a summon scroll from Gammaton. Gammaton will then scour the land for anyone who as yet doesn't have a summon scroll and could be convinced to attend. Gammaton might have to settle for majority of the gods, and later hope that the benefits of the Assembly will entice the others to join.
Posted. A bit melodramatic and lackluster, but I needed to do some catch up.
Upon reaching the trucks, Dieselpunk's machine body collapsed as she stepped out of the slag, holding out her arm in a practiced motion, catching the trenchcoat that Midnight tossed at her, allowing Dieselpunk to cover up. As she climbed into the back of the truck, at first she simmered in rage at how much of a hard time three students had given herself and Midnight. Then she was slightly put off by Verd's unusual behavior. Then she was shocked when she witnessed Aya's dead body, followed by Zion dying. Her mind went blank when White Skull admitted to having poisoned all of them and for using this event to cull them. Then Verd suddenly destroyed the antidote and White Skull shot him in the knees.

Dieselpunk trusted Black Tree, and she was in no position to fight back. She didn't even notice when she had been given the antidote (now multiplied). She had misgivings about this mission, about this White Skull, but she hadn't allowed the thought any room to grow. Before she knew it, they were deposited back at the Stray Sheep. Dieselpunk hadn't realized how tightly she was clinging to Midnight's jacket. Walking through the doors as if in a haze, she was no longer Dieselpunk, but Osameru Kyouran. She used to be part of a biker gang. They trusted each other with their lives. Shade Walker's words washed over her as she meandered over to a booth and collapsed into it.

"...Shade Walker...?" Kyouran asked weakly, "What does Black Tree stand for? What are our principles?" As she lay there, her body shook, her eyes on the verge of tears.
The construct paused for a moment, it's attention seemed to be elsewhere but it's hostile stance didn't change. Suddenly it's focus snapped back to the two gems in front of it. "Beacon activated. State reasoning for lodging or be eradicated." it repeated.

Miffed that the construct merely reverted to asking the same question, Amber decided to use authority, "I am Amber 65536 regional governor of South America by the laws of the Diamond Authority of Homeworld." She stuck forward her left foot and pointed at it. "Even though I'm just an amber, my rarity cannot be measured because of the lifeform encased in my gem." She hoped this would be enough to convince the construct to stand down.

Staying in Zone 2, shooing away other students

@ERode @Scribe of Thoth

"Datari-san, please, do as the teac...villain says. This is...a hostage situation," Mari stated, hoping Shun leaves the bus before her. Then turned the the 'Mastermind', "I will comply with your demands, but as a hero, I cannot in good conscience leave a villain in a bus full of civilians. If your intention is to head out and impede the other heroes, I won't stop you, but I must watch you leave this bus alone with my own eyes." Mari slowly backs out of the bus, and confronts the other students about to drop off their dummies.

"Great job everyone! I'm so proud to be engaged in this bracing competition with such capable rivals!" She declared in a surprising cheery disposition. "So the proctor said that we can just leave the dummies in front of the bus, saves us some time so we can hurry back to rescuing more!" Mari winked in an overly cutesy and peppy fashion. "OH! But someone is texting me. It must be Haruto-kun!" Mari pulled out her cell phone and quickly sent a mass text:

Hostage situation.
Villain in bus.
Do not provoke.
Leave the immediate vicinity.
I have made deal.
Villain will leave bus when no one is here.

At least, Mari hoped the villain would leave. She kept trying to glance him through the fogged up bus window, hoping she didn't make a mistake leaving him in there with the dummies.
Sorry for the double post

Won't get a post up just yet, but anyone who visited the Library for the General Assembly, Gammaton would have just handed them, and watched them sign, a document identical to the one he gave Hayim, except with the proper god's name. Upon signing the document, the document will 'haunt' your god as an invisible, immaterial thing.
