So yesterday, I was watching AHS, Season three, Coven.

And, as some of you may know, Stevie Nicks appears as a guest star on a few episodes, so of course I immediately go "Holy Shit, it's Stevie Nicks."

Through a thirty second conversation I learned that my best friend had no idea who Stevie or Fleetwood Mac was, so I felt the need to educate him.

Anyway, my point is I've been listening to nothing but Fleetwood Mac for the last twenty-four hours. More specifically the songs Seven Wonders and Dreams. Yes. Seriously.

This was about a month and a half after I started my current job waiting tables at a pizza joint.

There's this one guy who is semi-regular. He doesn't come in that often, but when he does it's either exactly nine o'clock or right after - we close at nine. This is the second time in this week that he's came in after nine and asked if we could make him a burger. Both times we denied him. Our kitchen was closed, register was in the process of being shut down, etc.

He didn't take his frustrations out on us thankfully, but it was a busy Saturday night and we still had a few tables that we were working on busing.

This guy yeets over to one of the tables, snatches a leftover half-eaten piece of pizza, takes a bite and walks out the door like nothing happened.

We all have one horror story from working in customer service/retail and the like -- Unless you're on of the fortunate people who have never had to work a horrible minimum wage job where the customer is always right and you have to treat them like a God while making them items that are not on the menu.

Anyway. Tell me those stories.

I love it, personally.

It's one of those shows that are a little 'out there', and one that you have to pay attention to, or you could miss something major.

From what I've seen, it's not like a normal show which has a continuous plot line throughout the series - it changes season to season, but I'll have to see in time if they don't connect all together somehow.

Additionally, it's a creepy show, but I'm pretty sure you know that. Nothing scary enough to give me nightmares, but I've loved horror movies since I was five.

I'd definitely recommend it.

Occupation: Exotic Dancer at the Devil's Den.

Affiliation/Loyalty: Zeno.

Personality:

Kora is very sweet and talkative. There’s rarely a moment when the young girl is silent. Usually those moments are when she is writing, when she’s so focused that she forget that anything else exists. That’s when Kora loses herself. All your troubles melt away. Being a tad lot on the submissive side, Kora is familiar with taking orders and is quite loyal.
She has a love for all things old. Old movies, old records - she loves the history behind it all. She love the way things were made with so much care and time back then. Kora looks for the imperfections, the things that make it unique. Even in people.
Messy people are the best to her. Perfect is boring. She loves watching people who don’t have their shit together, because she can see the way they think. The young woman loves the flaws that people have, because it’s what makes them, them. She loves the people who are too loud, or love things unabashedly.
Even then, they young woman holds herself to high standards. Just because she loves flaws doesn’t mean other people do. She hides said flaws - such as her short temper - a to the best of her ability, and works on them until she’s polished and perfect. That’s what writing is. She can have as many ideas and rough drafts as she wants - but when she goes to present it to someone, it has to be perfect.
Some people say that she forgives others too quickly, and that she doesn’t know how to let people go. Blame it on her childhood. Blame it on having too much faith. Kora likes to see it as giving people second chances, and believing that nobody is inherently bad. We’re all human. Or, we’re all part human.

Aspirations/goals/philosophy: What Kora wants more than anything is to be a vampire herself.

Skill Set:

-Salesmanship: She’s a stripper. Gotta make money somehow.
-People skills: Kora finds it easy to talk to people and strike up conversations with them.
-She’s really good at staying level headed in high pressure situations.
-Dancing: Kora took classes for various dancing styles when she was little. She can waltz, tango, freestyle and lap dance.
-Singing
-Writing
-Due to taking nursing classes in high school, Kora is very good at first aid, and also knows CPR.
-Can play the piano and acoustic guitar.

History:

-Kora was born into a wealthy family. Her father is the head neurology surgeon at one of New Yorks finest hospitals. Her mother is a well known fashion model.
-Her childhood was fairly basic. She started taking piano lessons at the age of five, and decided to switch over to the guitar at the age of eleven. Her dancing lessons started at age eight and ended at the age of thirteen. Due to her parents busy schedules, she was mainly raised by her nanny, Rosaline. She and Rosaline had a decent relationship, though they were never the closest. Rosaline is her greatest influence when it comes to her love of ‘old things.’
-At the age of fifteen, Kora started sneaking out to parties, and her grades feel from A’s to C’s. While most parents wouldn’t make a big deal of something like this, Kora’s parents expected excellence. She started keeping a journal at this time as well, writing short stories and creating random characters. Fifteen was the age she became interested in more ‘supernatural’ and ‘spooky’ things. She found herself watching more and more horror movies, and spending more and more time researching lore on vampires, witches, etc.
-At the age of seventeen, one of Koras friends talked her into getting a fake ID so that they could go to The Devils Den. It was here that she caught the attention of Milo Esposito. Kora was more than happy to have the mans attention, and this is what kept her coming back night after night as she hoped to see him. There was something about the man that Kora couldn’t quite figure out - but she planned to.
-Two short weeks after her eighteenth birthday, Kora got a job at the Devil's Den. The best part about her job was, of course, Milo. She liked to study him, and watch the way that he moved. It was one late night after he had completed one of his jobs for the Zeno family that Kora learned what he was. The two of them went to one of the private rooms for a dance - something that wasn’t uncommon. Maybe it was the way she was moving. Maybe it was the hunger that filled up every inch of the man's body. Whatever it was - Milo bit her. It was careful, no other person was around. Shocked at first, Kora find herself frozen in place. She didn’t understand the high she felt from it, but she did enjoy it. The two of them didn’t speak of what happened until a month later. Kora was confused - upset, even. Though she had read about things such as vampires, and never completely ruled out the idea that they may exist. The fact that they might exist, however, had her completely intrigued. Through a long, tedious conversation, Kora learned that vampires did exist, and that Milo was one, just as she has suspected. The next time Milo looked famished, Kora offered for Milo to drink from her. Soon, they fell into a pattern of things.
-Over time, Kora got to know some of Milos friends. Most of them were mainly in passing. Niko is one of the ones that stand out the most, mainly from his teasings. Kasiana doesn’t seem to like Kora much. Kora isn’t very welcomed into the vampire world by anyone other than Milo. She’s not quite sure how Milo feels about her, exactly, but she will take what she can get. For the most part, Milo only takes Kora on night outings as a source of entertainment. She strives to be able to go to the more formal events. Kora also tends to some of Milos injuries, such as his busted lips, bruised knuckles and the like. Rather she will become more welcomed by the vampires, only time will tell.
